When Jesus spoke of the seed of Sower being the Pearl of great price its simply b/c its the very seed of God,to whom the word/seed came it made them Gods the result of that seed is a king, my lil Children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you and Christ is God the son thus an Israel of God,the Child is spirit simply b/c the Seed is the Word which is Spirit as God is spirit that was the great Promise God himself wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven.Th babes and sucklings he speaks of are in essence Gods as that which is are born of the SPIRIT are SPIRITS Thus Spirits can be born in us via his seed the WORD MEANING NEW HEART AND A NEW SPIRIT TH KINGDOM OF GOD IN US SINNERS

A parable is story that is used with a truth in mind The merchant represents a man who is seeking truth, the pearl represents the truth which is Gods word and we know that Jesus is the Word. When he finds this truth pearl he gives everything that's important to him for this truth. Meaning as a Christian we are to give God what's important to us, our time, money and love our very life.Thats how important Jesus the living Word should be to us.

The good seed is Christians. The tares are the unsaved. God said let them grow together until the harvest. which is the end of the world. Then He will divide the good from the bad. The good He will bring into His barn . But the bad he will burn.
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
when Pharoah's daughter came to the river to wash a type of baptism of the H.G. that living word YOU ARE MADE CLEAN BY THE WORD ETC she found a child hid in the water which is a metaphor for the new birth we are gonna birth a baby Christ th H.G. thats y he always refers to himself as the Son of Man.We are not spritually clean untill we birth christ in our lives via that river of life the WORD.
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
This parable of the sower and his precious seed is the very reason the woman is in travail n birth pains her child is the H.G. another Christ When he breathe on them he was propagating very God th H.G.Thats y he said b c i have spoken these wordsbreath sorrows has filled your hearts.sorrows imply a spritual pregnancy, when a woman is in travail she has sorrows but her sorrows are turned into joy.
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
Ya gotta realize that the sower of the good seed is the bridegroom,Thats y he is saying the good seed are the children of the kingdom which is a spritual child born in us via his seed th word Same seed that impregnated Mary is gonna impregnate this whole world. When isaiah saw the KINGDOM COMING he says unto us a child is born unto us a son is given,Thats y jesus said the kingdom wd come as a child

Christ Jesus is the merchant. He purchased the pearl of great price lost sinners . Rev. 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment

It is already established in God's Word! Gospel of Matthew Chapter 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? The Word of God mentions the brethren of Jesus Christ by name! half-brethren by virtue of Our Lord Jesus Christ being born of the Holy Ghost! Isaiah 28:13
  • Robby on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
What about the merchant of verses 45 and 46? Was Jesus referring to the rich young ruler, who walked away rather than giving everything he had to obtain his redemption?

If you cast one who is possessed of a devil into the fire, you throw the devil in yes, but also the one who is possessed. Cast out the devil first, or that Angel of the Devil, and then you may harvest the man and the devil for judgment, so that both are not condemned together, but only the child of the wicked one, the Serpent is condemned. God sent his Son to save the world, not condemn it.
  • Jerry - In Reply on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
The tares are devils, the children of the devil. They must be cast out of men before the harvest, lest you condemn both the man and the devil. The casting out of the devil is the separation of the tares from the wheat, and then the judgment at the end of the world, when the Devil and his Angels are cast into the lake of fire. God bless.
  • Jerry - In Reply on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
The devils must be cast out of men before the judgment, lest you condemn the possessed along with the devils. The devil and his children, the devils are the tares, the good seed are the children of the Son of man. At this time, both are entwined together, until Jesus comes and casts the devils out, and they are separated from the good wheat, then the judgment of all things at the end of the world.

Jesus is saying to let the good and bad people grow together and then at the end time the Angles will gather up the bad people tares and they will be thrown in the lake of fire. We are to evangelize to the bad unbelieving people in hopes of winning them to truth Jesus. We must mingle together to do this, therefore the wheat and tares grow together.
  • Brenda Dobson - In Reply on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
Continue reading in Matthew 13:36-42- This explains what the tares are and how they got there and what will be done with them when Jesus comes at the end of the world.

Say not of the holy Angels, Were wanting to do, for the Angels now await commandment to execute final judgment on ye wicked. For it is written, The enemy that sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the Angels. So shall it be at the end of the world: the Angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
  • ALEX on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
Mat. 13 is a perfect picture of the church and her birth pains from the seed of christ the words of god the tares satan are gonna try to destroy the woman's child, the 2 children fought in rebecca's womb, jesus said the field was the world where that good seed will be sown meaning humanity th world is gonna birth a baby christ which is the h.g. that promise child that is gonna rule all nations

I love this chapter, but could someone explain to me verses 28 and 29?
  • Caleb Dugan on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
I continue my train of thought here ... Jesus mentions that the reapers represent the angels. I am just wondering what the angels were wanting to do. Did they want to kill false believers in the church, but God didn't want them to because they would kill true believers on accident? I am just curious about what the gathering up of tares is and how it is harmful to the true believers in the church
  • Caleb Dugan on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
In verse 28, the servants reapers too I guess asked if they should take the tares out of the field. The householder said to leave them so that they don't also pull out the wheat. Farther down in the chapter Jesus explains the parable further by saying that the wheat represents the children of the kingdom and the tares are the children of the wicked one. But Jesus also mentions...uhh...
  • Robert Sanborn Jr. on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
One thing I can take from ch.13:54-58 is that Jesus did do mighty works in his hometown but not many. Why ? Because of their unbelief. They could not come to receive their healing because they got offended by his teaching, not because he didn't have the power to heal.

Jesus said we wd know a tree by his fruits thus we know that christ is god the son by his fruits his words are the very seeds of god he breathe on them and they received the h.g. thus the h.g. was his fruit which is a baby christ his offspring via his seed th word. the kingdom has to come via a birth thats y he is saying unless you receive the kingdom as a lil child etc impling a heavenly birth.
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
The original Promise was i will multiply thy seed Christ seed as the stars of heaven Thats y the sower will go forth to sow his precious seed in humanity. Its the very seed of God to whom the word that good seed came it made them Gods,God was so pasionate about this PROMISE that he swore by his very self I have said his words seeds ye are Gods. Being bornagain of an incorruptible seed
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 4 years ago
How do we know that Christ is really God the son? Simply b c he sows the very seeds of God in humanity which is the Word th living Word not the written word, the living word is the very seed of God and this seed can only be deposited in our hearts by hearing his voice etc not by reading anything but by HEARING means divine understanding, its gestation in the spritual realm,HE IS THE BRIDEGROOM GBU
