A disciple's comment on 4/26/2018, 11:32pm...

"..Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." Jesus makes wise the simple, and gives us knowledge and understanding about all things; while the ungodly, who reject all God's instruction and counsel, are left to go their scornful ways without knowledge. No matter how hard we try we can't force them to understand what they cannot hear.

BSP's comment on 4/26/2018, 10:54am...

Verse 16~Jesus was commending and blessing his disciples for actually hearing and grasping the meaning of the words that he spoke.

BSP's comment on 4/17/2018, 7:26am...

Verse 23~We don't only want to read and hear God's Word, but we must understand it to truly bear good fruit in our lives.

Steve morrow's comment on 4/08/2018, 3:23pm...

MATTHEW 13:15 for this peoples heart is waxed gross and their ears --- ARE DULL OF HEARING --- AND THEIR EYES HAVE THEY CLOSED --- LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS AND SHOULD BE CONVERTED AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM ISAIAH 42:8 I am THE LORD that is my name and --MY GLORY-- will I not give to another neither MY praise to graven images

BSP's comment on 2/14/2018, 12:19pm...

Verse 15~God wants us to not only see and hear his Word, but to obey his Word.

A disciple's comment on 1/23/2018, 10:52am...

As the earth brings forth fruit of herself, so is man to his reflection. We must not only prepare our hearts for the planting of the good seed, but must labor to maintain it until the harvest; for the enemy will always come behind us to sow his evil seeds and cause his weeds to come up everywhere; and neglect will ruin the ground. He that is of God will hear God's words and receive and do them.

I AM's comment on 10/25/2017, 6:15pm...

Such a man only fears the eyes of men, and knows not that the eyes of the Lord are ten thousand times brighter than the sun, beholding all the ways of men, and considering the most secret parts. Behold, the Lord knows all the works of men, their imaginations, their thoughts, and their hearts: there is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves: no disciple.

A disciple's comment on 10/23/2017, 4:06pm...

Servant; "Discretion is the better part of valor!" When you are on the internet you have to be very careful not only for yourself and your family, but also for all others you might put in danger by certain kinds of talk. I have tried myself to be direct in naming different kinds; but this is not the format, nor is it in love, nor at all right to volunteer the folks here to unnecessary persecution.

Servant of the Living God's comment on 10/23/2017, 6:23am...

I know. St John's Revelation lays it out pretty good. The signs being clear that one shall come into power speaking in glowing terms but deceiving the people, for he is a liar and the father of it. I see it and reveal him on this site but they won't publish it. It is because the born again were the first to be swayed for he promised to enact their polictical designs. Still, despite his threat

Deborah's comment on 10/21/2017, 11:35am...

Do we all know that anti-christ will come first before Jesus Christ returns? So many either dont believe, or haven't been taught ....

Alex's comment on 9/28/2017, 11:12am...

The sower and his seed is the greatest of the parables as Jesus said know ye not this parable how then shall ye know all parables, its his seed that is gonna be sown in us resulting in a birth of Christ in us which is the Child/Babe that is gonna lead us into all truth. These things are HID from the wise and prudent but REVEALED UNTO BABES, its his seed that is gonna form christ IN US,THE BABES

Jeff Mentzos's comment on 9/14/2017, 11:11am...

Vs.19 says that they could not understand the word sewn by Jesus. The next 2 received it but fell aside. Only the 4th brought forth fruit. This chapter is about predestination Rom.8:29-30) It is God who gives the ability to receive and understand the word randomly established before He created the earth. Jesus told the Jewish leaders that they can't understand as they were not of God - destined

Alex's comment on 8/20/2017, 5:39am...

the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven are 1 and the same....jesus uses the kingdom of heaven in matt's. parable of the sower, but kingdom of God in mark and luke's parable of the sower, so they are 1 and the same, there is only 1 bridegroom and 1 bride and 1 God ....thus there can be only 1 kingdom

A disciple's comment on 8/12/2017, 5:07am...

All the parables go together to make the whole message. The various aspects of how a man hears, and what he hears, and what determines his being either good or bad; is not at all something left to chance; (as if we should just accept everyone for what they are, or what they are confused about); but is entirely because of our own willingness and obedience to the Glad Tidings. We are accountable!

Anonymous's comment on 8/11/2017, 11:27pm...

It basically means you can't change yourself or another person till they have matured. In unconsciousness we have accidentally gotten bad seeds within ourselves. When we ripen and gain maturity, only then may the bad be separated and only the good kept. So accept yourself and others unconditionally until you and them are matured and ready.

A disciple's comment on 8/11/2017, 5:04pm...

Hi Grace; You asked, "What is the difference between kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven?" I think the difference is simply in the words themselves, and not different things. What I mean is, that the kingdom of God; let's say, as opposed to the kingdoms of men; and the kingdom of heaven, as that which is high above all that we know just now as of the earth and this world: it is the world to come!

Grace's comment on 8/10/2017, 8:48am...

what is the difference between kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven?

Insight777's comment on 7/01/2017, 3:59pm...

V52 is important. Jesus tells us the Bible, written by scribes is impartial, telling us both what has been believed in the past and what will be revealed in the future. That is why Jesus asked his followers if they understood him. Follow only Jesus as he walked the earth, that is true understanding of salvation. Everything else is letting someone else have control of your life.

Angelo's comment on 6/10/2017, 8:07am...

An essential chapter of Jesus' ministry, with the wheat(children who seek after truth) and tares(children who seek worldly fortune). Only 1/4 of the seed comes to fruition, but it is not predetermined necessarily, otherwise why would God sent us his messengers. The key verse is 15/32 which tells us to read the whole bible for context(brings forth old and new. Notice Jesus refers to Issiah

Lu2677's comment on 6/03/2017, 6:53pm...

Matthew 13:27 "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man." Son of man is Jesus. Some versions capitalize "Man"=God. Anyone else agree it should be cap. M just for the sake of clarity? In case anyone was wondering; when it reads "son of man" it is not Christ.

Word's comment on 5/17/2017, 12:45am...

Disciple our Lord Jesus explained the parable Himself from Matt. 13:27-42 where God sends His seed, children to earth and the wicked one Satan sends his tares, children to earth. It has nothing to do with our hearts receiving the word. No need to explain it. Christ spoke to these same ones in John 8:44-47 where He said you are of your father the devil.

A disciple's comment on 4/02/2017, 8:44am...

"But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." We have to understand this in the same context as the Parable of the Sower: it is about OUR hearts receiving the word of God in the Glad Tidings; otherwise then; not only being hardened, with no depth, and choked out by the cares of this world; but being instead sown by the devil, to become his planting!

Matt's comment on 12/26/2016, 3:48pm...

@ Word, I see that your eyes are wide open. As our Lord said, "Blessed are your eyes". Cain is the son of the devil (Gen. 3 and 1 John ch. 3 v. 12), and Cain's children, the Kenites, are the tares. Their true identity is revealed in John ch. 8 (v. 44, specifically); Rev. ch. 2 v. 9 and Rev. ch. 3 v. 9. Any of them that refuse to accept The Savior Jesus Christ will be cast into the fire with Satan.

Stephen F. Zielski's comment on 6/30/2016, 10:50pm...

PARADOX. Our Heavenly Abba Dad and God Almighty Yahweh in and through His Son our everliving Blessed Lord and Savior Christ Yeshua Jesus would never have His people ignorant of what is to come in this end of the age of the gentiles. No man can recieve anything except it be given him from above. THE DREADFUL AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD IS AT HAND ! SHALOM ISRAEL ZION ! COME LORD YESHUA AMEN !

Insight 777's comment on 12/24/2015, 4:43pm...

Jesus is the Son of GOD! Satan has Angels! Son of man shall send forth his angels,
