  • Samuel Thomas on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago
Jesus is GOD! For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace ( Isaiah 9:6). Adam disobeyed God. Noah walked with God. Abraham believed God. None of these were prophet.
  • Tyrone on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago
Can you elaborate on this verse Verse 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
  • Sahil on Matthew 12:28 - 11 years ago
Jesus (peace be upon him) is not God. He was sent by God as Messenger like Adam, Noah, Abraham, God sent him for whole mankind.

Typo corrections 1.general should be genesis 2.wheat should be grain from 11/29/12. Thanks
  • Jay on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago
Matthew 12 is the rejection of the miracles.
  • Jay on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago
Verse 40, the 3 days and 3 nights are literal 3x24 hour periods as in general. 1 during creation (the evening and the morning are your clues during creation) which equals 72 hours that Jesus spent in the heart of the earth. Which Jonah is a biblical type. If this info is true (which it is) then tell me how anyone can conclude Jesus being crucified on Friday and resurrecting on Sunday morning and arrive at a 72 hours of time?
  • Jay on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago
    1. The difference between corn and wheat in verse 1 is the manuscripts in which the translation was made from the Greek; New testament from Greek to English, and Old Testament from Hebrew to English. Manuscripts of the Textus Receptus from Antioch ( Acts 11:26) or Manuscripts from Alexandria (Egypt, origin, hort, etc.). One can do a study on Egypt from the bible. Corn is the correct translation from my studies and conviction.
  • Brother Joseph on Matthew 12:1 - 11 years ago
I am trying to figure out why some versions say corn when others say grain. Was there a mistranslation or something else?
  • Adesola Paul on Matthew 12:12 - 11 years ago
Matthew 12:12 makes us to understand how valuable we human beings are in the sight of God than any other animals or creatures. Despite how stiff-neckness, God still loves us among all others. Nothing can be used to out weight the soul of a man that is why Jesus died on the cross. It takes only the precious blood to be atoned for human beings because of their importance.

    @ Vijaya,
There is always that difference we as Christians need to make; and that difference is between the exactness, accuracy of the word of God, which is infallible and the traditions of the Christian church, of which so many cases are erroneous.
Jesus Christ said he had to spend three days and three nights in the heart of earth, and thats what he did. Of course Christian tradition tells a different story of three days and two nights, which is wrong.
Jesus Christ spent three days and three nights in the grave. For further details I will recommend you the book Jesus Christ Our Passover by Victor Paul Wierwille, it has a profound and detailed study on the events surrounding the death and resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ.
    God bless you.

    @Pete,
Jonah 2: 10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
After he came out of the fish belly, Jonas went and successfully ministered the city of Niniveh, which he got to repent from sin. And the LORD ultimately spared that city from destruction.
You can read the book of Jonah, its just around 50 verses.
    GOD bless you.

Verse 12:38-40 Jesus is saying only unbelievers or the wicked in nature seek signs or miracles for verification. Christ is not a magician that performs on command. HE IS THE TRUE LIVING GOD, LORD & SAVIOUR, REDEEMER & THE ONLY NAME YOU CAN PRAY TO! The signs of Christ have been here since the beginning of the universe & before! Our Lord is supernatural, that means he's not limited inany way! He used Jonas & OTHeR WelL known biblical figures. To show the Pharisee's of his Father's signs through the old testament. Jesus was telling the Pharisee's his sign would be defeating DEATH & THE GRAVE! For 3 days Jesus died a physical death. He even ministered to those down in Hell. After 3 days Jesus rose with all power! HALLELUJAH! Jesus rose in the spirit, when you've been embalmed that it you're dead. THe stone had not been moved from the tomb. The guards were there all night. We're limited beings, I thank Jesus That I serve an unlimited GOD! For centuries people have been trying to dispute the word of God. Why don't have faith? You know why? You need a visual or physical sign. Jesus is a spirit, he's like the wind. You can't see it, but, you sure can feel it. Find out what Jesus is about & who he is. Don't be so quick to deny salvation! I'd rather live my life serving Christ & finding at the end he doesn't exist. Then to live a life NOT seving Christ & find out he DOES EXIST!!!!

Jesus would be consider a "Radical"of his day and even in ours. The Law was THE religion of His time and ANYONE speaking contrary to it COULD and WERE stoned. The relious men of His time were jealous and afraid of Christs teachings of love and forgiveness. What Jesus did was take the power away from the Pharises and out of religion and give it directly to man through THE BLOOD OF GOD,CHRIST. No more could ANY group have power over a man but only GOD HIMSELF...that is if men would receive HIM. He lived and preached forgiveness, healing, feeding and clothing those who had nothing, turning the other cheek, and most importanly HE did ALL of this and more out of LOVE FOR YOU KNOWING HE would be... STRIPPED NAKED, BEATEN,PUBLICLY HUMILIATED,REJECTED AND ABANDONED BY ALL HIS FRIENDS, CRUSIFIED, one of the WORST AND MOST GRUSOME ways to die. Is this the acts of a man out for HIMSELF? Is this a religion set on destroying others? NO!!! To the contrary! And for the record.....HIS HEAVENLY FATHER SEALED THE DEAL BY RAISING CHRIST FROM THE DEAD AND SENDING THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO NOW RESIDE IN THOSE WHO ARE WASHED IN THE BLOOD!! Now it is up to you as a free moral agent to decide whether you BELIEVE AND RECEIVE HIM OR NOT!! Let God be your judge...NOT ME!!!!
  • Worder on Matthew 12:25 - 12 years ago
Inspiring and enlightening. People should pay more attention to this verse, it's a warning to the body of Christ that unless we are one through Christ, we can't stand

    @ Casey,
y should i go out of way @ read other books? y r u going to Babylonia to search about islam... u just take a translation of Holy Quran & read. then u will get the idea about islam & muslims.

Here Jesus makes clear that is is ok to do good works on the Sabbath. He remind them that he is Lord on the Sabbath, just like any other day. I really liked how Jesus spoke.

What many do not realize is there was corn(maize) in Egypt in biblical times, and Pharoah's dreams about the seven ears of corn were about real ears of corn, and not grain.

Archeologist, Gunnar Thompson has unearthed 21 golden corncobs in Egypt. One picture of the corncob is c 1470 BC. This picture certainly looks like an ear of corn.

According to Thompson most of the evidence comes from the temple of Queen Hatshepsut who reined as Queen or Pharoah from 1492 to 1458 BC

@nabee i think the religion you follow has been inspired by pagan beliefs of babylonia all this stone throwin and stuff lifeted from the babylonians idol worshippers read and interact with muslms who converted from their faith into christianity there is a very famous book which highlights the differences and where you guys deviated from the truth as christianity started right from adam and you simply want to believe what your clerics want you to believe. read this book

Regarding Matthew 12:32...? It's simple and clear. Many things unknown and unbearable to the human eye has taken place on our filthy behalf. We are carriers of great light where there is no fear. inside. there is no fear, no question, just all knowing. Jesus is that light and the Spirit remains for we laborers. In other words, let's not doubt, deny, shun, curse.... the Holy Spirit. All of this is bigger than our words. God has to show you if you ask. Amen
  • Ray on Matthew 12:32 - 13 years ago
I think it might be more to do with deception as oposed to just plain ignorence, (the great deceiver being the devil of course) In other words, if the fruit of the Tree is good (holy spirit), then praise the Lord! Do not trick and deceive the people by telling them a lie that it is bad. The priests should have been the first to worship Jesus, they were after all the educated ones.
  • Mel on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
I believe that verses 31 & 32 are warning against cursing The Lord and being unsaved, because when we get saved ALL our sins are paid for. Also when we get saved, He cleans up our life and the cursing tends to disappear.
  • James on Matthew 12:32 - 13 years ago
could it mean words spoken while in the flesh can be forgiven;while words spoken when in the spirit cannot be-isn't eternal life spiritual-not phsyical

Oh, calm down dear glenda. Dnt b emotional. I knw dat it is not command us to follow the whole bible. Coz god almighty sent jesus (pbuh) only 4 da jews according 2 da quran & da bible. Not 4 me & not 4 u, if u r a gentile. Bt it s not written anyware in the bible dat jentile should not read this book. And the same time as a beliver jesus christ (pbuh) i hav all rights to comment, when some one contradict 2 da words of this mighty massenger jesus (pbuh). C my earlier comments abt matthew (12:38-40). Whn my christian brothers havnt gt a logical answers to my question, they reply 2 c dat book, c dat chapter, st paul says dis, christ died 4 our sins... Ect...
I'm asking 2 giv a prove from the jesus's (pbuh) word dat he says "i died 4 ur sins".
  • Glenda on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
Nebeel, if you are muslim, what are you doing reading the KING JAMES BIBLE? You don't belive in it, undertand or want to understand it. I want ask you about the caren because it is not for CHRISTIANS. If you wanted to understand the CHRISTIAN BIBLE "THE ONLY BIBLE" ask JESUS CHRIST to forgive you for your sins and your unbelief and get in a good BIBLE based church. ACTS 9: 27 tells of Barnabus taking Paul to the apostles after helping him (Paul) excape from people who wanted to kill him. later in that chapter-- verses 32-35---the BIBLE tells of Peter evangelizing. This was after Paul was converted, Peter walked with JESUS so,this could not be 300 years after the asention of JESUS.
THE BIBLE states that the Church in Antioch is where JESUS CHRIST'S fellowers were first called Christians. Don't forget the book of JAMES, JESUS'S brother. This is just a few examples of the saying "study to show your self approved".
  • Nabeel on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
Dear mel & glenda, i would like to tell u 1 thing before i reply to your comments. I am a muslim. Do you know the position of jesus (pbuh) in islam. No muslim is a muslim, if he dsn't beliv in jesus (pbuh). We belive in his miraculas birth that he born without any male support, which many modern day christians do not belive. Specialy anglican church in america. V belive dat he gave life to the death with god's permission. V beliv dat he healed born blind with god's permission. V beliv dat he was one of the mightiest massengers of almighty god. V love him & respect him more than the christians. I wil explain u later, If u want 2 knw da reason.
Now coming 2 da point. I do agree dat stil there are some words of god existing in the bible. But as a whole it is not in the original foam. It has coruptd by ppl. All christian scholars r agree to this statement. Coz our present king james version bible also 5th major revision of the original king james version, Which compiled in (1611).
St.paul came 2 exist 300 years after jesus (pbuh). They ddn't live in same time period.
This abt john (3:16). If u read the REVISED STANDARD VERSION & NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION BIBLES, the verse is there. But the word "BEGOTTEN" has thrown out by the christian scholars due to interpolation, fabrication, concoction. This RSV version bible is most up to date bible which taken from most encient schriptures. Any how god gave jesus (pbuh) to the jews to take out from their sins & show them the correct path. & hav the everlasting life.
  • Mel on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
Nabeel. Of course Ezekiel 18:21 is true. It's a part of The Word of God, our Bible. The Bible is true because it's inspired of God.
The only one that could pay for our sin is Jesus Christ. The reason he could pay that debt of our sin for us is because He is perfect.Read John chapter 3. There are a lot of words spoken by Jesus himself, like verse 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
I love Jesus because he loved me enough to pay my sin debt which no man could ever do. I know this is true because it is in God's own Holy Word.
My faith is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  • Glenda on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
Historisn Paul? Nebeel calls Paul a historian.
    Nebeel, read ACTS chapters 8 & 9.
this will show you that Paul was really Saul before accepting JESUS CHRIST into his life. After this JESUS CHRIST sent Paul to the gentils (you and me) to preach the gospel.
  • Nabeel on Matthew 12 - 13 years ago
Dear Mel, i didn't found any wrong in Ezakiel 18:21. its true. but it doesn't mean that some one can pay for others sin. According to roman 5:8, why every child born in sin. did adam (PBUH) ever asked us before he eats the forbidden fruit. then how can we responsible for that. if your father killed a man, can we hang u for that. as human we know that it is unjust. will god almighty do such a injustice for us. this is illogical brother.
brother, did Jesus (PBUH) ever said that i died for your sins. this is the comments of historians. why are you'll giving more grade to historians than your lord Jesus's (PBUH).
for an example in Matthew (19:16-17) "And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?""And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." but st.Paul comments in 1 Corinthians (15:14) "And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain."
we can find contradiction in these comments of Jesus (PBUH) & st.Paul. Jesus (PBUH) said to keep the law & commandment to enter the the eternal life. but according to st.paul all our good deeds are useless unless chist didn't risn from the dead. no where in gospels jesus (PBUH) said that "Belief i died for your sins to enter the eternal life" at least as a least commandment. but our Christian brothers giving more grade to historians like st.paul than the jesus (PBUH), though it contradict to christ (PBUH). is this the way you are respecting & loving Jesus (PBUH)?
