Does Jesus care? Oh, yes, HE cares for me!
  • A disciple on Matthew 11 - 5 years ago
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." This life is hard, and can be so ugly and unfair: we have just in our own little existence toil and sorrow, sickness and death, and grief and remorse and very little happy times to fall back on in our memories. Jesus spent three quarters of His time healing the sick and seeking to relieve the poor of their suffering and miseries. Many selfish and well off, never in trouble, pretending Christians, pontificate about walking in faith and not by sight but have no idea where to start to really feel what its like. But Jesus knows all about us, and all about our troubles in life and He is there for us ALWAYS! But we have our part to call upon Him and really let Him be our Protector. "How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her chickens under the wing and you would not!"

Mathew 11: 11 is supported by Luke 7:28. It is clear that the covenant of God's kingdom was made a short time after John dies at last supper 33CE. Luke 22:19-30, No one who lives before this will attend heavenly kingdom, the Bible says that they will dwell on Earth with full of happiness under God's heavenly kingdom for which Jesus will be the King with other few chosen kings under him. Psl. 72:8.

Verse 28~Jesus was refreshing to others and we should imitate him.
  • A disciple on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
Lou; we should never confess defeat when it comes to our salvation, and the things that the Scriptures PLAINLY tell us we have in Christ! Saved from our sins, complete deliverance and freedom and all provided for pertaining to life and piety! The enemy is a liar, and goes about seeking whom he may devour with his lies! Don't listen to him! Believe the Word!
  • Lou on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
Penni, we all fall short, because we judge, our nature is sinful. We must strive to be good, and..we will fail, we will never measure up, but we should try anyway. No action on our part, no changes we make, no sacrifice is worthy..we are fallen. Only through Christ, and not through our own doing are we saved, we will still fail, when we believe, but the power of Jesus (God) is above all things.
  • Penni Carter on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
Jesus is so clear about our walk in trusting him, but He is also very clear in His stance regarding judgment. We have it easier because Jesus came to the earth in the form of a man to show us how to live. Is it really any wonder that our judgment will be much harder considering we had the truth as a living example. I pray for mercy and grace for our souls. Our world needs to repent.

These things are hid from the wise and prudent but revealed unto babes, the babes are the H.G, simply b/c he said that which is BORN OF THE SPIRIT is SPIRIT, which are the children of the kingdom that are gonna be born in us via his seed, I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, these are the children that understand everything which is the multiplication of christ, th Children of PROMISE

Verse 19: The results of a certain action or procedure will reveal whether it was a wise course.
  • Insight777 on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
V11, John the Baptist was less than Jesus. John was shown how to cleanse sin, he had Holy Spirit but not all the powers of God. He was baptized, forgiven of sin. It is possible that he harbored negative thoughts towards people that refused baptism and true Gospel.Thoughts of frustration and weakness of his own power to help sinners is short of perfection. Jesus is perfect, his kingdom is perfect.
  • A disciple on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
"Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Does this suggest that we can be the least in our Christianity? or rather, that the littlest one among those born from above...? For with these things the Lord rebukes those most blessed, but who repented not.

The three Abrahamic Religions idea or slogan, is false! Abraham was called out from Ur of the Chaldees, to sever him from the heathen cult of Nimrod worship/Islam. Israel is for now not right with the Lord their God, denying and persecuting the Name of the only begotten Son of God; so God hides from them. Those who are Believers in Jesus Christ, are walking in the Spirit and the faith of Abraham.
  • Insight777 on Matthew 11 - 6 years ago
There are 3 main religions today that believe in Abraham and the promise of the kingdom of God for their followers. These religions differ in doctrine so they oppose each other. Violent believers in their God of Abraham fight the others trying to take the kingdom of God by force. The door to the kingdom is Jesus, the Son of God. The violent do not believe Jesus is Savior so they are not saved.

You said, "who listens anyway?" Matthew 11:5 "He that has ears to hear, let him hear." You said, "takes too much time, stressful" v.28 "Come unto me, all you that labour (work) and are heavy laden,(weary, tired, overwhelmed, burdened) and I will give you rest. Also, v.29 and 30. If you cannot find inspiration, excitement, hope for the lost, to work for the Lord, "Rest" is in the Sabbath.

The Trinitarian world refers to manifestations of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as 3 distinct and separate persons in the Godhead, namely "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost." If every manifestation of God was another God we'd have "God the voice ( Gen. 3:8), God the burning bush, God the angel (Jacob wrestled with), God the pillar of fire, to name ONLY a few. cont.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
When one is saved from his sins, he/she has a rest everyday in the Holy Ghost from the 'toil' our former life of sin put us through. The H.G. gives a continual daily rest in Jesus. "This is the rest wherewith ye shall cause the weary to rest", Isa. 28:12, Heb. 4:10-11.
  • Wayne on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
Some are thankful for the Sabbath days. A day to rest, worship, not work, as the Jews, who are prospering in the love of The Lord. God's people in the land of God's Holy City. May we all study and understand the blessings of The Sabbath Days.

  • Connie Green on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
Accepting Jesus should not be hard. We must honor him and follow his word. Love the people that are around you. Treat them as you wish to be treated. Read God's word daily so that you can see how a true child of God should live. We live in the world but we are not a part of it. Follow the law of the land as much as possible. Do not let the law of the land interfere with how you should serve God. God is good. Pray daily and throughout the day for guidance. Do the best that you can daily. His yoke is easy.

Christians, those who are born again, washed in the blood of Jesus, by faith alone, are the temples of the Lord.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
    V. 28 - Jesus is our 'sabbath' now - since Acts ch. 2. Not a 'day' - which was in the O.T. Jesus fulfilled the MORAL; not the ceremonial. Why do you think He allowed the temple and it's ceremonies to be to destroyed in 70 a.d. ..... ? Because He no longer honored those things; He no longer required them. Jesus' blood was shed for all.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
" ..... because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes."
  • Obbie Beal on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

WOW! a heavenly solution to mankind problems (both spiritual and personal).
