Mt 25:45 Then shall he answer them. The answer is exactly the same as that given to the righteous, save that it introduces "not" (Mt 25:40).

Discussion for Matthew 25

The message that rings throughout this chapter is that we should be ever ready for we know not when the Lord shall come. Readiness means being in a state where we can qualify for the Lord's Kingdom. Readiness means being at the centre of God's Will all the time. We cannot achieve this state by our power or might but by the Grace of God. Salvation is through Grace.

I think we must always live our life preparing for the return of Jesus.

The 'oil' is the symbolic of the Holy Ghost: being prayed up in the spirit everyday - and that is not referring to Jesus' 'example' prayer in Matt. - "Our Father which art in Heaven ..... "; repeating this everyday as one's 'prayer life' is tatamount to saying the rosary. We are to 'converse' with Him Just as we'd talk to our earthly fathers about our needs and/or just how much we love Him.

The wise virgins knew God's Word; the foolish did not. The oil is symbolic for The Word. Those who study The Father's Word know He (Christ the bridegroom) will return at the last (7th) trump, not the 6th. The antichrist, Satan himself, returns at the 6th claiming to be God. Watch therefore, and study His Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

To Bro. Henriques on ten virgins - Thank-you for your reply. Yes, I knew '10' referred to His chosen, only half being saved. It was just the #10 I was curious about.
