Wesley's Notes for Matthew 25:34

25:34 Inherit the kingdom - Purchased by my blood, for all who have believed in me with the faith which wrought by love. Prepared for you - On purpose for you. May it not be probably inferred from hence, that man was not created merely to fill up the places of the fallen angels?

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 25:34

Mt 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand. The King is Christ. This is the only time, save in parabolic language, that he applies the title to himself, though he speaks of his kingdom and declares he came into the world to be a king. At judgment his kingly majesty will be acknowledged by all the universe. Come, ye blessed of my Father. Observe that his invitation on earth to mortals is to "come": "Come ye to the waters and drink" (Isa 55:1); "Let him that is athirst come and partake of the waters of life freely" (Re 22:17). To all who have heeded his earthly invitation he gives a heavenly invitation. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you. The blessed are now to enter on an inheritance. On earth they were heirs and joint-heirs with Christ.

We should share our gifts and talents with others 1 Peter 4:10 tells us "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another; as good stewards of the manifold grace of God".

We are taking about taking oil, that oil is the words of the King Jame bible in order to keep our light shining in Christ Jesus the Son of God. I see many foolish Christians of the hour looking for water and no oil to extinguish the lamp of the words of the Gospel of Christ.

"And five of them were wise, and five foolish." The *wise (having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right, and conducting oneself thereby) are those Blessed, which when the Lord comes shall find so doing; and the *foolish (moron; a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment) who neglected the truth and had no *enthusiasm (possession by God within).

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this , To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

What men say is Holy on earth is open to their religious interpretation. Some religions say something is Holy when others say it is not. Fact or fiction, that "holiness" does exist, lie or truth, all deal with people that do not agree. Physical response to what is spiritual belief is what Jesus taught against. Jesus wants people to believe truth but to not kill people that do not understand truth.
