Vs24-34 The Sadducees try to make Jesus look foolish by citing an incongrous situation arising in the Resurrection. Jesus shows this situation would not happen in the Resurrection because "they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven". He then further verifies the Resurrection with more scripture. You'd think this would make the Pharisees happy but....

The "foolishness of preaching" WHAT? The cross of Christ! It is foolishness to the "wise" of the world, and weakness to the "mighty" and proud of the world; but to us who are saved; both Jews and Gentiles, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. And it cannot be by anything but the Word that the Spirit convicts men to repent and believe in Jesus: NOT by human wisdom, but by the Spirit!

Steve; All we have to do is walk in truth in Christ, and the light in us will antagonize those who hate the light. They will lie against us, and work against us from out of the Churches; because they know not the Father nor Jesus. They will call us proud and accuse us of every evil thing; while they themselves are still sinning and in gross doctrinal error, that NO ONE can snap them out of it.

Faith comes by hearing THE WORD OF GOD! This "tug on your heart" is such a watered down and misrepresenting of the truth! The Holy Spirit CONVICTS men of their sins, because we are unfit for God's presence until we are reconciled, washed and cleansed, and made new men in Christ; BY THE WORD OF GOD, not man's words; and certainly not by the easy kind of spurious OTHER Gospel, which is taught today!

disciple: I said a lost person doesn't need to know one Word of The Bible to be Saved. Are you saying they need to be a Bible Scholar? The lost come to Christ by The Foolishness of Preaching. The Holy Spirit will tug on Their Heart. Not Knowing One Word of The Bible They can ask Forgiveness. Is He Tugging on Your Heart?
