Wesley's Notes for Matthew 10:27

10:27 Even what I now tell you secretly is not to be kept secret long, but declared publicly. Therefore, What ye hear in the ear, publish on the house - top - Two customs of the Jews seem to be alluded to here. Their doctors used to whisper in the ear of their disciples what they were to pronounce aloud to others. Mt 10:27 What I tell you in darkness. In privacy. The Lord had to teach them in private before he could send them forth. Upon the house tops. The flat roofs of eastern houses made a conspicuous pulpit. The Lord directs them to speak in the most public manner. In Syria proclamations are still often made from the house tops.

Disciple; I'm sorry for having a bad reaction; forgive me. I know I'm not the only disciple, and I shouldn't object if anyone else wants to use the same for writing on here. Again, please forgive me; I'm sorry.

I did not write the previous post with the similar name. It looks like someone wants to be an impostor, and misdirect with subtle words! "A stage player." But to give my thoughts on this great portion of scripture; Jesus doesn't send out to proselytize, like the Pharisees; but to announce the Glad Tidings, and preach that men should repent; instructing them to keep all that Jesus has commanded us.

It seem that proselytizing is their mission but for many who have not matured in the way, it would be ineffective and subject them to scorn. I remain an anonymous servant of God figuring that a man of faith is...

The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. He that committeth sin is of the devil. For the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not.
