"..Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he follows not us: and we forbade him, because he follows not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not.." Do you ever wonder where all those Church Denominations came from? or how that in the beginning they were without questioning, all of one accord, and one mind, and one heart knit together? How is the Lord going to answer this when He comes?
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Mark 9 - 6 years ago
At the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow. Christ reminds us in this chapter that if we call on Him, He will answer and at the mention of His Name, we can do what ordinarily, we are unable to do.

"And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Unbelief is a moral error; not a weakness! Where in the whole Bible did you ever read, that God sympathized with, or "understood" their stubbornness and disobedience? Feeling pain, and seeing and experiencing apparent contradictions of evil; does not change the truth of the LORD.

Just read this the other day in my devotions. It's good to be encouraged. Do we believe God is willing and able? This is most certainly where I struggle, which is ironic when we call oursleves "believers." But faith can be grown if we act on what we do believe
  • Geraldine Bulos on Mark 9 - 7 years ago

But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Little children and soldiers in Christ Jesus, Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

You cannot trust man. He has proven to be untrustworthy over and over again. I put my total trust in God. He never lies and is always faithful as promised.

Their, in verse 44, 46, 48. You will not find those verses in other versions of so called bibles. Only the King James Authorized Version of Gods preserved word for over 400 years. Their means its personal, individual. There are others verses missing, see if you can find them. A diluted bible is no Bible at all.

That the crowds that came to see Jesus wouldn 't understand if they heard from different people what they thought they had seen up on the mountain.it would grow out of control . Adding things to story ,making things. Up that it would ruin what was really seen.

"we are the salt of the earth. " This verse elucidates that this adulterous and wicked generation is spared from the God 's wrath upon the earth because we are the salt of the earth. Salt is used a preservative. We are the preservative of this world. If we have not been in this world God 's wrath will be upon this world. Here "we " refers to the church which is cleansed and made righteous. As because of Noah the whole of the creation is saved and because of us the world is saved. PRAISE THE LORD
  • Mike on Mark 9:42 - 8 years ago
The word of God appear to have little to no meaning in today society, the sexual abuse within the Church is awful we accept it as part of the life and conduct of the Church if we were honest the elders and Church leaders would stand firm against the abuse but instead the Church leaders send victims off to solicitors while the Church protects its assets children are NO longer assets of the Church?

God is asking us to walk with faith and not by sight. We have to continue praising and thanking God for everything he have done in our daily lives. There are no other Jehovah Jireh the provider, and Jehova Rapha the Healer is only Jesus. We need to accept his word and love his word until rapture. Jesus loves you

Then, just as today, men allowed themselves to get caught up in the minutia. Christ admonished us to follow Him, trust in Him, believe in Him. Jesus Christ is what is important. Don 't sweat the small stuff.
