Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

If it was an unworthy generation when Jesus was here, with all their hatred and hostility and contradiction against Him; what does THIS dried out old rotten tree think that God should care to give any of them a sign? Keeping in the context of the Lord's teaching here; what is profitable for us is to save our souls through God's mercy and grace, and not have false beliefs concerning this life's worth. This world IS NOT God's final and very good plan for us for eternity; and its real condition is seen by the cross.
