    Malachi 2:13-17

13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

16 For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

17 Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

I suppose we all may know someone who professes to be a Christian who falls down at the altar at the front of the church expressing humility and devotion to Christ but who in his private life has treated the wife of his youth abominably. Some have even divorced the wife of their youth to marry a younger girl who pleases him physically.

    Matthew 13:23

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Keeping to your question about tithing: Jesus told us to give cheerfully, not grudgingly.

Tithing establishes TRUST between you and God. You trust Him, and HE takes care of your needs. He is faithful that Promised.

As your faith grows beyond 10 percent and you give above that; the scripture above shows that you receive greater reward for being faithful.

Offerings are above the tithe. These are you blessing God back for the blessings you have received and you desire now, to bless Gods people. It doesn't have to be to your Church. I give to ministries that go to all the world; feed and help people who are going through disasters...and need everything. It makes me so happy to read the praise reports that come back to me.

Offerings build churches, buy Bibles, help the oppressed in other countries etc.

What is on your heart that you wish you could help in some way?

Then discuss this with your Heavenly Father, ABBA. And see if you get the green light in Your spirit.

This is your bag of seed that blesses the whole world. Happy you will be!

We can't outgive God. He desires to bless His kids. But if we draw back and think greedy; the only person who suffers is us. We will not experience that blessing that God wants to pour out on us.

DONT think small. Think Big like your Daddy, ABBA.

If you see a neighbor who has the same old, ragged 50yr old sweater on; present them with a brand new sweater, in Jesus Name.

See what happens in the heart: yours and theirs. Miracles do happen.

It is wonderful to read your testimony in this matter, brother. The Lord is mindful of your needs & situation. As the LORD also said, that "it is not good for man to be alone" ( Gen 2:18). Remain in prayer and devotion to the One Who has purchased you with a great price. He will give you the right companion in His Time. When ye "seek first the Kingdom of God & His Righteousness, all (these) things will be added unto you" ( Mt 6:33).

Thank You very Much Bretheren! But I Have tried Dating Some Time Back With Someone Whom I Thought Is trustworthy But At Last Her Behaviors Were Even More Wicked than the People Outside The Church. Me Knowing How Much It Costed For Me To Be Saved, I Gave up For the Sake Of Eternal Life.

Seeking the Lord's Face in prayer for everything you do is most important. In respect of your need for a wife, the Lord understands your need & you have to trust Him to provide the right person at the right time. If you meet someone at Church or another gathering & you are able to talk to her about general matters, you can (as she would also) know how you perceive her as a person/a Christian/her interests & goals in life. And remember, outward beauty fades, but the heart that is wholly given to the Lord, preserves true beauty for all time. Then you make it a matter of prayer & with your faith in God answering you, you will know His guidance in this matter or maybe, a "not at this time".

I think in Jesus's parents life they set a date for the wedding. She becomes pregnant through the Holy Spirit during the engagement period; you know the story Matthew 1:18-25
Point is: nowadays they call it DATING! You date and discover a persons faith; faithfulness to you, family, church, how they spend their money (tithing), budgets, votes, how they treat their mother. You interview each other for a year. Here's your bible scripture for what you seek. Proverbs chapter 31, verses 10-31. If you can't wait that long, you may get a lemon.

Verse 11 says that Israel profaned the Holiness. God’s Holiness can’t be profaned because it is absolutely perfect. But our actions can give His Holiness misrepresentation to others about what it is. To have profaned it Israel would have had to be in possession of it. Therefore they backslid from their position and commitment to Him and His character in themselves.

Brianna; Yes, God MADE all the different Nations and families of men; according as it has pleased Him. But, yes too, the strategy of the enemy to divide and conquer is what's behind the perverting of everything that God has made, and deceiving their hearts to hate one another. God divided the earth into Nations with their own borders for their good to curtail their Satan inspired conspiracy again!

    Question: Does God see race?
    Answer: vs. 10

In all aspects of human rule, we are focused on classifying ourselves, by race, gender, wealth, and so on...in every human culture.

But a lot of animosity can be avoided if we view ourselves as God views us. We are all simply his children. We have on father. SO why do we need to be partial to one another? So truly there is only one race: human

To Rev. Autrey - I do not say this 'condemningly', but as an observation. I am not judging, as I believe you are a One God believer - and His Name one - Jesus ( Acts 2:38). But, God has revealed Himself in 3 Manifestations, not personalities, of Father (God), Son (redeemer), Holy Ghost (comforter). The ONE Name of all 3 - Jesus - Matt.28:19 and Acts 2:38, 4:12, and on and on.

It is awesome in letting me know the true path of the pastor and where we have pulled away from God in during evil and mixing truth and evil together which God hates. We should stand firm on the truth of the rehma word and live so God can use us as He uses the saints of old. A living vessel to be used by You, Oh Lord!

Verse 10: "Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God?"

When we understand that the personality through whom God always speaks to us is Jesus, this verse becomes clear. Jesus is the Father spoken of here. We see this in Acts 8:4-5 where God answered Paul's question, "Who are you Lord," by saying "I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting."

We must remember that Paul was a devout Jew. And he never would have considered any other God except YHWH Father God. Yet, this God identified himself as Jesus the Son.

You will not understand or believe this if you do not ask God to help you. Ask him and he will!

As a note: God has two other personalities: The personality of "The Father" is the way God directs his affairs, but he never speaks to us this way. Jesus said of him, "You have never heard his voice or seen him face to face."

The perswonality of the Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe in what he is doing. That is, he helps us to understand that Jesus is the way God speaks to, and that this is true from everlasting to everlasting.

    May God bless you.

This Chapter versus 14-16 just taught me that God only wants a man to have one wife: Before reading this, I did not have back up to say whether or not God was concerned about a man having more than one wife, because of my observation of Solomon, but now I can clearly see that God wants a man to only have one Wife; that you produce Godly seed, and now I must say that; We must reading daily the entire Bible, and pray that God allows us to receive the correct understanding of his word; That we have clear knowledge of his will. Because God's word is so massive; that you can still miss some things after reading the entire Bible front to back 3 times in a row. SO THIS IS A DAILY LIFE BOOK

There is an inherent guilt when we are trying to do things that we know are wrong. How would you act if you were always worried about being exposed for things you feel guilty for? Would that shape you? The Bible says yes. It is the person who doesnt try to cut corners at other peoples expense who can sleep well at night. The security of integrity is far greater than the anxieties that come with any wealth created by corrupt practices.

In a society where good has become "bad" and bad is "good", divorce and adultery have become a normal thing even among Christians. I pray that the God of peace speaks peace to all storm-raging families in Jesus' name.
  • Simon on Malachi 2 - 11 years ago
It's painful to God to see a family go apart or being torn apart through the bitterness of divorce, hence God hates divorce. I pray for all those marriages out there which are going through difficult times. The devil will oppose everything that represents Gods identity. He knows God hates divorce hence why he does everything to pull families apart. Let's not judge those who have divorced but pray that God grant them grace, in Jesus name.
