"December 25th wasn't the date of Christ's birth, but was the date on which pagans celebrated the mythical birth of Sol Invictus and other pagan gods. He was born either in late September or early October, perhaps on the Feast of Trumpets. The only birthdays celebrated in the Bible are those of sinners - a Pharoah and King Herod both of whom marked their specific birthdays with beheadings. And, Kevin Dalkin, Job 1:4 doesn't mention a birthday - only a feast. The roots of Christmas are in pagan tradition and neither Christ or His disciples/apostles or the true Church of God ever celebrated His birthday. There is no Biblical commandment to celebrate His birth, but He commanded His death be commerated."
"Jesus' birthday is super-specific, and gives extremely close parallels to the symbolism of Rabinical writings, in all 4 methods of Jewish study, and probably the most fascinating study you will ever do in your lifetime. If you will invest your time, you will find out beyond any doubt that He was born on the 8th day of the Feast of Succoth (KJV) Sukkot (Hebrew), also known as the Feast of Booths, the Feast of Ingatherings, and in some places in the Bible simply as The Feast. A booth or temporary shelter references the flesh. During Ingatherings they harvested grapes, olives, and wheat. Grapes make wine, wine represents blood, blood is used for covenants and sacrifice. Wheat is made into bread, and Jesus is the Word of God, also known as the Bread of Life. Oil is used for anointing kings and priest comes from olives. The word Christ is the English word for the Greek word Christos, Christos is a direct translation of the Hebrew word Moshiach, and Moshiach is directly translated into English as Messiah. All of which mean the Anointed One and point directly to that anointing. Depending on how it's used in the sentence structure of scripture, will show if it's primarily talking about the person (Jesus) or the anointing (power). On the first 7 days of the Feast of Sukkot the High Priest poured out water symbolically, but he was never for any reason to do it on the 8th day. Water represent cleansing and the Holy Spirit. (For out of your bellies will flow rivers of running water.) Numerically 8 represents new beginnings. This is over and above the position of the heavenly bodies which came into alignment comprising the Star of David, and you can go online to find out which ones they were. Keep in mind that by the time the Wise Men arrived from their journey from the Far East when they came into alignment above Bethlehem (the City of Bread and where there were 30 bread making business at the time. [Numerically 30 represents: Dedications, and the blood of Christ]), Jesus is no longer described as a babe in a manger, but as a small child in a house, so there's a time lapse. That's the reason why Herod the Great ordered all babies up to 2 years of age killed instead of just newborns. You can also study when Herod the Great, and Pontius Pilot was born, died, and reigned, when John the Baptist was born and murdered, then correlate the findings with the Hebrew calendar, then compare to our modern Julian calendar."
"I believe in Jesus Christ everyday because I know He is God and without Him I would not be here."
"The best gift ever given to man by a loving God. Not that man deserved any forgiveness and look at him this date. We are worse than ever but think we deserve a forgiveness given by God. So many think they will always have time to cry out forgive me God, forgive me of my sins. Don't be fooled. Gods word states his return will be as the light shineth from the east to the west. Now light travels at 187,000 miles per second, How fast can you pray? Get ready now while there is time because if the easter sky splits it's over in the twinkling of an eye."
"The bible also never says to celebrate birthdays, or christs."
"The Gospel of Luke tells us he was born around the Feast of Sukkot(Booths). There are several reasons to believe that JESUS was born during the Fall, in particular, during the festival of Sukkot(booths/tabernacles) 1.JESUS's cousin, John the Baptist, was conceived in mid Sivan(May/June) and born 40 weeks later on Nisan 15, the Passover. John's father Zacharias was a Levite who was assigned to serve in the temple during the course of ABIA, the 8th course of the year.(Luke 1:5) Since the cycle of service began on the first Sabbath of Nisan but both passover and Shavuot require all priestly courses to serve, the actual time the 8th course would serve would be during the 10th week of the year. This places Zacharias service in the Temple as beginning on the second sabbath of the month of Sivan(may/june). It is written that John the Baptist was was conceived shortly after this tour of duty (Luke 1:23-4). Therefore John was probably conceived shortly after the third Sabbath of the month of Sivan. Therefore John the Baptist was born around Passover. Jesus was conceived in late Kislev (Nov/Dec) and born 40 weeks later during Sukkot."
"While people argue over petty stuff the world goes w/o the gospel and people die and go to hell. What is more important? Arguing over a specific date or telling them Christ was born, died for their sins and rose again and is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father? They need to believe, repent and accept the free gift of salvation. Satan loves to use the little detail arguments to detract from the truth. The fact is He was born, He died and He rose again. He is the SAVIOR of the world and the way to Heaven."
"People will argue over celebrating Christmas, birthdays, sabbath, worshiping on sunday( sungod)??? Saturday( Saturn), Easter, trinity... Read and study your KJV bible ask the Holy Spirit, as for me I celebrated the arrival of my Lord and Savior as a gift from God the Father. Pray and test the spirits to make sure that they can say that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and died for our sins on the cross and rose again. Jesus is Lord and glory to God the Father in the highest for his Son, Jesus Christ."
"Who cares what day he was born its not a debate people!!! The the that matters is that we k ow he WAS BORN, was crucified and ROSE again for all of us! Everyday is Christmas to me!!! Don't lose focus on the big picture!!"
"...with verses thrown together like pickup sticks... you can justify any opinion. If I were God, (and I am not), I would be very disappointed in all of us who want to put burdens upon each other for celebrating His Son's birth, whether it is on Dec 25th or on each day...celebration is in order, for He gave us all the Greatest Gift ever..."
"@Keena While Jeremiah 10:2-4 may sound to modern ears like an uncanny description of Christmas trees from the sixth century BC, the historical and biblical context precludes this anachronistic reading of the text. The very next verse precludes the pretext? Verse 5 stresses how they are not able to talk and must be carried because they cannot go. In other words the description of a tree cut out of the forest and adorned with silver and gold and fastened with a hammer and nails so that it would not totter is, therefore, a reference to wooden idols, not Christmas trees. In fact, Christmas trees originated in Christian Germany two thousand years after Jeremiah's condemnation of manmade idols. Obviously there were no Christmas trees in Jeremiah's time and this passage described what was happening then which was the reason for its condemnation, not to foretell a future tradition. I don't know anyone nor have I ever heard of any one worshiping a Christmas tree which would then make it idol worship. No, the Christmas tree began as a distinctly Christian symbol and can still be legitimately used by Christians today as part of their Christmas festivities. Christmas trees, however, are not essential to Christmas Christian celebrations which can certainly be complete without a tree adorned with ornaments. like all symbolic objects that aid worshipful remembrance and celebration of Christ (e.g. the elements of communion, baptismal water, crosses, paintings, and so forth), we must never allow Christmas trees to take the place of that to which they point: namely, God's eternal redemptive purposes from the fall in Paradise to salvation in Christ. The reason for the season is the Savior."
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4 KJV) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31 KJV)"
"I think he would care more that we are remembering him whatever day we pick. Not argue over who is right but that we remember and live to love and help one another. That was his last message before going to Heaven , not make sure you celebrate my birthday on a specific day !!"
"It doesn't matter when we recognize Jesus birth. We should thank God every day for sending His own Son to be the sacrifice for our sins!"
"Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the LORD..Ephesians 5:10. True religion is identified by its teachings and practices..Matthew 7:16,17. Worship that GOD aproves. Isaiah 43:10. It is wrong to take part in celebrations that have pagan origins..Ephesians 5:10."
"Luke 2:1-11 (KJV) [And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cćsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.] 2[(] And[ this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)] 3[And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.] 4[And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judća, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)] 5[To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.] 6[And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.] 7[And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.] 8[And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.] 9[And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.] 10[And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.] 11[For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.] Pay close attention and noticed what it said about the Shepard and what they were doing ,,, now if Jesus was born in the winter the shepards would not have been out at night time IN THE WINTER tending to flock .. The weather would have been too cold"
"Remembering Jesus according to the bible is expressed and shown by the lords supper NOT CHRISTMAS..."
"The Bible doesn't state it directly but gives very important clues to the "when." And the evidence points to the birth being during the Feast of Tabernacles ... which isn't in Dec."
"The Bible, Exodus 20:2-7 I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make to you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. Luke 2:8-11 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, see, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said to them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Jeremiah 10:1-4 Hear you the word which the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel: Thus said the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. Love worth finding(Adrian Rogers) ministries blocked me for posting these verses on their timeline."
"To live is christ. He is the reason why i am alive."
"Amen! and thank Jesus for birth gave us hope for eternal life!"
"Book Chapter and verse will settle the disagreements about His birth. What book tells when, what chapter tells when, and what verse says when. Gal. 1: 8-9 But though we (apostles) or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than that which you have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. vs. 9 As I said once before so say I now AGAIN If ANY MAN teach other than what you have received LET HIM BE ACCURSED. So I guess we can decide whether we have the scripture to prove what we are teaching or be accursed, it is our decision to obey God or make our own path which will condemn us."
"Christians celebrate the birth of Christ without living by paganism on December 25th! They live by Christ, which eventually becomes eternal. John 3:16. Let not that which is holy be blaphemed by heterodoxy!"
"Daniel Parker: you are wrong. The verse references christmas tress. The bible also states that the cedars and spruces will rejoice when the kingdom comes because they will no longer be cut down for such celebrations. Remember this: YHWH said DO NOT worship me in the ways of the heathen. And 12/25 is the birthday of Osiris and Christmas trees are directly spoken of in the bible."

"The Bible says that the shepards slept with their flocks by night in the fields which in that part of the world would be aroudn the feast of trumpets in late september to early October. They could not or would not be in the fields with their sheep the 25th of december. That date was chosen when after the Roman emporor Constine was converted and he wanted to apease the pagans he chose the SUN day worship day of the pagans instead of the SON of God birthday."
"The only thing that is not acceptable to our Holy God is for one to continue in sin after they profess Him as their Lord. Celebrating Chirstmas, if you are worshipping Christ, Decorating a tree, in honor of the Lord's birth is not a sin. Jesus came to free man from the law, don't create new things in your mind Chrisitans shoudn't do. If you don't want to do it, then that is ok, don't claim it is scripturally denied, it isn't! Christ Jesus made us free indeed, to worship him in spirit, and truth, there is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating the Lord's birth. The responsibility of a Christian is to live different from the world, and be not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, bring the truth of Jesus to a lost and dying world, headed to hell. Some of you are choosing to make this more difficult than the Lord intended."
"According to the Bible, God does predict that, the world will end someday as we know it. Christians still need to live in the present. The poor, sick will always be with us. our responsibility is to make sure that we take care of the sick and the poor. Today we are trying to get the rich to pay more taxes. Many people in our society is without health care, homeless, children are missing school on a regular basis because of living conditions. It is our responsibility to make a difference in the lives of the needed. You along with your church can play a major role in resloving these issues. An act of caring for someone, if each one of us along with our church, home, each one of us would reduce the hurting in our society ."
"Accurate records of days, dates, weeks, months and occurences have been kept from the beginning!"
"Actually reading the Prophecies it can be narrowed down by the back tracking the stars and scriptures He was here in between Tishri 10-14 and was crucified on Nisan 14 going by the Festivals in the Gospel of John and the secular writings of Flavius Josephus...we western minded people have trouble understanding the lunar calendar, but it gets specific when looking back accurately through this calendar and the positioning of today's planets and stars. Dig deep and it all starts to come together. That's why every numerical, and literal fact and detail a written in the "Chevar" or the "Logos.""

"Doen't matter what exact day. Just know he was born."
"God surely cares of everthing thats why He knows the number of hair strands on yo head. check in the bible. 2 occassion where a birthday was celebrated someone got killed.Christ himself never mentioned anything about His birthday but His death and resurrection.God gave Israel a calendar which HE God also follows becoz its His Christ was crucified on the feast of passover(as a lamb) he rose during the feast of firstfruits. The Holy Ghost was sent on the feast of weeks (pentecost) we expect the dead to resurrect on the feast of trumpets. we expect israel to turn back to Christ as their Messiah on the feast of atonement we also expect that the kingdom is established on the feast of tarbenecles or boots more or less the same period of feast when Christ was born. Search the scriptures."

"Jesus is man and GOD himself.there is what people understand on how christ came to this world to fulfil his mission.God used vergin mariam through holy spirit to bring forth jesus.christ would not been accepted by the world if he would come direct from heaven;many were to faer.that is why we see GOd uses anique plan through mariam so that son jesus is born, these bring aclear picture for man. Therefore hear is where we see GOd`s to delivere man from sinfulness life through the death of christ.so whoever belief him is justified."
"Merry Christmas Patty"
"Mike Marshall, Mary and Joseph went to register in a census ordered by a decree from Caesar as it states in Luke 2:1-2. There is no reference to doing so for tax purposes in any of the accounts in the Bible."
"Mike Marshall: you are seriously ignorant of biblical history and need to do some serious research. I put 8 yrs. of intensive research into one question: Why do I believe what I believe. Guess what? I don't believe the same things any longer. It's a quest you must make on your own. Learn how to parse the Greek and Hebrew texts and learn more about the culture of the people you are dealing with during that time period. A whole new world will open up to you. Messiah came to call the lost 10 tribes back to covenant. That's a fact."
"My King Lives!"

"The only birthday observances mentioned in the Bible are those of two rulers who did not Worship Our GOD..(Our heavenly Father) (Genesis 40:20,Mark 6:21) Christmas or Dec 25....that was not the date of Jesus'birth Again..Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the LORD.Ephesians 5:10.."
"They registered for taxes at the end of the year back in that day!"
"We can celebrate the lord daily however we are to separate our worship from the things the world celebrates. for we are called to come out of the world and we do not follow the traditions of men in our celebration of Jesus. we celebrate him with our spirits in truth as he commanded so it is not condemning the world it is separating ourselves from the world as we follow Christ. So if you feel condemned by the truth it is his truth that is the two edge sword."
"We don't choose to celebrate a day ...but choose to celebrate His birth and we choose to celebrate it on Dec 25 not because we say it is the day He was born... We do not know the day but we have set it aside or at least Christians have. We should celebrate Him everyday."
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all did this? I feel so blessed to be a free American who can worship anytime and anyway I please and I REFUSE to give up that right!!!!"
