Bob - The rich man's debtors had bills showing they owed some amount. The steward went to debtors and told them to change the amount owed expected the debtors to be beholding to him when the rich man fired him.
  • What does it mean to " write eighty". Does it mean he paid eighty in which case he would be out of the rich mans debt and therefore reunited with him because he is no longer subservient to his debt. Is this possibly a statement that the manager has performed his intended task of reuniting the rich master and his debtors.
