Interesting enough, the rich man, in his misery, in the flames, hadn't changed his ways. He was still thinking he was in charge. Ordering Lazarus to get the drop of water. Unto the Lord. Hadn't changed at all.

I don't think you can parse the word by numbers and symbols as there is no authority. But hear the parables, for the Master taught in parables to avoid the calculating mind. The rich man in hell asked Abraham to sent one to his brothers so that they might avoid the torment. Abraham answers that if they will not believe this sent one if they have not learned from Moses and the Prophets!

The story of Lazazrus and the rich man is to me one of the most profound. Never ever take for granted your station in this life. God is using all people by showing in His Word that all person's matter to Yeshua, no matter sick or not sick, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, Yeshua knows your name friend. He went to the cross so that we can cross from death to life everlasting by believing Today

Bob - The rich man's debtors had bills showing they owed some amount. The steward went to debtors and told them to change the amount owed expected the debtors to be beholding to him when the rich man fired him.
  • What does it mean to " write eighty". Does it mean he paid eighty in which case he would be out of the rich mans debt and therefore reunited with him because he is no longer subservient to his debt. Is this possibly a statement that the manager has performed his intended task of reuniting the rich master and his debtors.
  • Unto Abraham, were given the 10 commandments. The law of God. Written by God's own hand in the plan of Salvation. He handed it to moses, and moses handed it to the people. The people who are us. The prophets told of God's ppl who will die because of ignorance. They told of a Messiah to save the world. But, We have put aside The Law of God. If only we could embrace The Law and keep the Faith of Jesus, then Salvation will sure come unto us.
