Discussion for Leviticus 25

Lev. 25:10 - is a 'shadow' of Acts ch. 2:37-38.

Dewey, Hebrews 9:8 states, "The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:" Reading farther down it is made clear to me that all the "sacrificial" ordinances were a precursor to Jesus' death. Then your quote of verse 15 applies to these "sacrifices" and the only thing that changed about those was Jesus' life instead of the lives of animals. This really doesn't speak to my question about the various sabbaths. And I'm equating these with paying tithe. I do not believe tithe was done away when Jesus gave His life for man thus, maybe these various sabbaths weren't either...thus my quandary remains.

Motdaugrnds, I see you have a heathy knowledge of Scripture. I will start by saying as you know that the children of God are no longer under the Old Testament given by God to Moses. Heb. 9:15 says. "And for this cause he Jesus is the mediator of the new testament or agreement that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressors that, were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance". God bless us all and also in the understand of his Word. Glory be to Jehovah in the highest though our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!

Seems this chapter is a precursor to Christ's giving His life for our salvation. So question: Is this chapter, specifically where it refers to the sowing reaping of the land a 7-year time span with the 7th year being holy applicable to those of us who farm in this century? If so, please explain verses 4-6 as they seem to contradict themselves. And I know the Scriptures do NOT contradict themselves thus, I'm not understanding these verses.

This and the books in chapters 23,24 and 25 shadow how Jesus was the perfect sacrifice Jesus being the perfect sacrifice, prepared to be the new offering. Him being God with man bodily, more than enough to save those before,at his time on earth, and us the far of. This is God with us a human sacrifice he paid it all entering in once.
