"Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." These are wicked impostors, wolves in sheep's clothing. "They went OUT from us, because they were not of us." Cain slew his brother because God said his works were evil. Balaam used knowledge of the truth to teach the enemies how to make Israel sin.

Verse 19~A person can deteriorate to the point of not having spirituality if they don't work hard to avoid having a fleshly way of thinking.

Verse 15~Early in man's history we see not only were they doing ungodly things, but they were speaking shocking things against Jehovah God himself. No wonder by Noah's time, God had purposed to rid the earth of wicked ones.

Pastor; Read carefully AGAIN: the angels leaving their first estate was that they believed the Liar and were carried away in his perversion to usurp the throne of God. Isaiah 14. Jesus said, that a spirit HAS NOT flesh and bones... angels are spirits, NOT flesh; and cannot physically breed with human women. That is a satanic teaching, and is a well known part of satanic ritual murders of children.

K Patrick Gibson, I will follow up with Lorease post that yes indeed, Genesis 6 and Jude is referring to the fallen angels. There is only ONE BEGOTTEN Son of God, and that is Jesus Christ! However, created angels, created men are also referred to as sons of God, (UNBEGOTTEN and CREATED)
Apart from that..Gen.6 could not have been just men...GIANTS were the result of that union..

Verse 3: We must put up a hard fight for the faith because we live in a faithless world.

Verse 7: The gross deeds and outlook of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah are warning examples to any who choose to imitate their ways today. This behavior will not be left without punishment.
  • Lorease on Jude 1 - 6 years ago
    K. Patrick Gibson, you are correct. Those were mighty angels that mated with the women. This was the beginning of giants in the land.

I think I should correct something from my last post. In Genesis 4:25-26 was mentioned when "men began to call on the Name of the LORD;" or more accurately, "When men began to call themselves by the Name of the LORD." As the birth of Seth was pronounced by his parents as being to replace Abel whom Cain murdered; and so the new beginning of the sacred line of sons of God. Cain chose to be heathen.

Mr. Gibson (cont.); Looking at the places in Scripture where the term, "sons of God" is used: it is never used for the devil or any damned evil spirit; but for them to whom the Word of God has come! to MEN OF FAITH! In Job, it does not say that Satan was a son of God, but that he came in among them when THEY came to present themselves to the LORD. Gen. 4:25-26 was the beginning of the sons of God.

K Patrick Gibson; In Revelation it is described as the dragon dragging 1/3 of his angels with him, when he was cast out of heaven. Jesus said that He saw Satan like lightning fall from heaven. In Isaiah 14 we are shown what his perversion and sin was in lusting after God's throne and glory. Genesis 6 is NOT about demons but apostate men with whom the Spirit strove against their lusts of the flesh.

Verse 21: This shows the responsibility that each of us has to personally keep ourselves in God's love by obeying his commandments and striving to imitate God.

He is able to keep YOU from falling, and with exceeding joy he want to present you faultless before the presence of His glory. So pick your self up, dust yourself off and run to him. Strive to make it so you can be presented faultless in Jesus name.

I'm earnestly seeking prayer to help me in my Christian walk daily. I keep falling into sin and my life is not where it is to be with the Lord. Please pray for me I use to be a committed Christian but now everything is going down hill. I'm no longer close to the Lord

"...it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Why? BECAUSE OF sneaking unclean impostors and hypocrites whose hearts and souls are bound in love for what is hated and hostile to the Lord, and toward the truth itself! We are in a Holy War for Man's Soul. Let the fearful and the vacillating be advised!

Jude 1:3 "Beloved when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write to you and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once
delivered unto the saints." When I contend for the faith, I contend for the Truth. Jesus contended for the faith. He rebuked those that spoke against the truth.
  • Jacoba on Jude 1 - 6 years ago
The faith is not what you believe or what I believe, the faith is what the apostles wrote for us to learn. We are to believe the message the apostles taught. Jesus prayed for those who believed on Him through the apostles words. John 17: 20.

Their release is during the first tribulation as locust priest and Satan acts like Christ.
