  • Paul on John 3 - 8 years ago
The command to be born again is for individuals to be baptised in water and filled with the holy spirit. In acts 10, Cornelius and his family received the holy spirit just like the disciples did and they identified this "for they heard them speak with tongues". Peter then commands them to be baptised. This is the biblical instruction for entering the kingdom of god.

John 3:16,17 indicates that God loves the world, and sent Christ to die for the sins of the world - but according to my pastor certain people are picked by God to be saved and the rest have no chance of salvation so did Christ only died for the sins of those that were predetermined by God to accept His salvation?

Jesus is speaking of the spiritual rebirth of the Jewish people when he says in verse 7..."Ye must be born again." Ye is a reference to a group of people i.e. - the Jewish people and not an individual. That is why I live and love the King James Bible.

The flesh is everything that represents the Law of moses which was abolished by Christ and will take anyone to hell since no man can keep the Law - James 2:11 : but the spirit represents christ himself who said : the word I speak to you are spirit and Life - John 6:63 .

Let us not forget Enoch Gen 5:24 Heb 11:5 and Elijah 2 Kings 2:11 all went somewhere and did not die! We also know of Paul having an experience 2Cor 12:2 of being caught up to the third heaven....Jesus said John 14:3 "... I GO and PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU, I will come again, and receive you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also ". Jesus is coming again soon and He will takes His saints, that are alive in the flesh, to be with Him. Already the Heavens are filled with His saints who have died, but their flesh sleeps in the ground. This then is the resurrection, that when Christ comes, the dead are reunited with their bodies 1 Thess 4:16 . One cannot see this Kingdom unless they first repent of their sins or born again John 3:3 and you cannot enter into His Kingdom, unless you are baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit.... 1 John 3:5

  • Dylan John Barry on John 3:13 - 8 years ago
I think it means we cannot ascend up to heaven. We have to allow Heaven to come down through us. To be Jesus, to live in total Love and share exactly that! Which will then connect us all as Men, ascending Man. Also, I 'd like to point out it says "even the Son of Man " Jesus is the Son of God. That 's what we need to be to return to heaven. The Son of God only Knows Love and is of one consciousness, not seeing other, only brother, which in turns binds the two through Love. So to return to Heaven, be the Son of God not the Son of Man who is Jesus, do as He did give only Love. Amen.

  • Cheryl Favorite-good on John 3 - 8 years ago
I think the chapter 3 of John is telling us that unless we are born again of the spirit we will not have eternal life we must be born again and that means to change our ways and live by God 's commandments and believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and we need to spread the word
  • Delica on John 3:13 - 8 years ago
Jesus is telling Nicodemus that being born again is not a new teaching. It is there in the scriptures which he should have known. He is explaining what it means to believe in Jesus. The faith of Jesus includes a renewal of obedience to the commandments. Jesus quotes the scriptures in Deuteronomy 30:11-14: "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it? ' Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it. ' But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. " Paul quotes this same passage in Romans 10:6-8: 6 But the righteousness that comes from faith talks like this: Don 't say in your heart, "Who will go up into heaven? " that is, to bring Christ down 7 or "Who will go down into the region below? " that is, to bring Christ up from the dead . 8 But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart that is, the message of faith that we preach . This is evidence that instead of rabbinical law rituals of purity like hand washings and circumcision , Jesus taught a renewal and rebirth of God 's law which is His commandments also summed up in the law of love.
  • Barakmba on John 3:13 - 8 years ago
It means that, before one can physically ascend to heaven one should have had a physical descend from heaven. Adding that even Jesus Christ . So this implies that all men born of women dies just as men die but of those eg Angels do Descend and as well ascend.

By the Grace of God, He saved my soul. Not of works I have done for it is His free gift to mankind. He who had no sin died for the sinner. Predestined from the beginning of time to be his, thank you Lord and Master.

This reply is to Taheel Shahid. If you will read the second chapter of Acts, you are given instruction in verses 37,38. All must repent confess our sins, ask forgiveness, and turn from them then be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ not father, son, Holy Ghost for the remission of those sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I hope you see this and that you will be obedient to the Word. God bless you, Taheel.

On Verse 16, Jesus Remind us How the Father Really Unconditionally Loves us, He offers His Son in order for us to Enter into His Kingdom. and God simply ask us to Believed in Him so we can have Everlasting Life...Guys ask Yourself, if you Truly believed Jesus or just only you know Him that He is God?...Believing Jesus is doing the things that He wants us to do and Surrendering our Lives fully to Him....Knowing him is not the same of believing Him....Praise the Lord Jesus Christ.....God Bless...

The constant struggle to exalt and put God first is the mission every born again child of God should strive for. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: " I Peter 5:6
  • Philip on John 3:5 - 9 years ago
I think one thing that 's seems clear in the bible and is so over looked and really puzzles together the purpose of life here on earth is God had Angels that followed Satan at his fall those fallen angels are us. It 's God 's way and plan to bring us back to him. That 's y he says that we are to be born again and of the spirit it 's referring to being created as a fallen Angel into flesh through a mothers womb. There 's a reason the angels are mentioned in the bible and that they followed Satan there 's a connection with that and who we are now and why.

  • MockingBird on John 3:15 - 9 years ago
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God . He is my Lord and Savior . I shall not perish : I have everlasting life. It lasts forever. I have eternal life . I will have life and no perishing through out all eternity. That is the difference between everlasting and eternal.
