I have no questions. Our Bible is the truth that speaks the truth, so we believe Jesuspreaching that his Words is not only from him, but from the Father who sent him. Believed.

Hello Precious, Being Born again is having a heart changed from serving one's self to a heart that serves the Lord. This new life in Jesus Christ comes forth as we in our need looked forward in faith to Jesus for forgiveness. His Spirit will come forth to this new believer and dwell with you as a comforter.

When the time comes hold nothing back from the Lord.

The bible says in Romans 10:9,10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead. Thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

    Hello Carol,

As Chris explained Ghost and Spirit are the same thing. As in the KJV Bible for the word Ghost, used over 90 times, and the word Spirit, used over 280 times, it is the same Greek word. The word "pnuema" meaning a current or "breadth" of air or figuratively a "spirit".

Just so you know. God Bless.
  • Chris - In Reply on John 16:13 - 3 years ago
Do you believe that man has been making this change? When did this happen, since both the Holy Ghost & Holy Spirit are mentioned throughout Scripture? Or, maybe you sense that the 'Spirit' is in wider use than 'Ghost'? The word "Ghost" means 'Spirit' as you know, so it should not be a problem when either Name is used. What does trouble me, is the wide use of 'Holy' & being associated with other things, e.g. Holy cow/smoke/mackerel/Moses, etc. I do get quite disturbed by this. Do you?

Alex comments about this John 16 : 13 Buts its simply b/c that the H.G. has to be born in us thus he is our spritual Child, our new innerman that is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the Father thus he cannot speak of himself untill he is of age but everything the FATHER shows him he will make known unto us .Now the heir as long he is a Child differs nothin from a servant THO he be LORD OF ALL thats the H.G. which is the Child simply b/c he has to be born in US from the seed of the sower which is the living word of God. Thats y he cannot speak of himself he is only a child when we are bornagain . Thats y Jesus was saying whosoever receiveth one such child in my Name RECEIVETH ME . Impling Jesus is the Father of the H.G. simply b/c the H.G. is gonna be born in humanity via the seed of Christ which is the living word,he that soweth that good seed is the son of man Jesus ,and he propagates after the God kind thats y he said that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G. spirit as God is spirit .But thats y the H.G cannot speak of himself he is a baby Christ . Thats y Paul said as we have borne the image of the earthy we must also bear the image of the heavenly which is a baby Christ the H.G. THE kINGDOM OF GOD, Remember unless ya receive the kingdom as a lil Child etc impling a heavenly birth via that good seed . The God head is just like abraham issac and jacob Father son and granson which is gonna initaites the Israel of God which answers to the great Promise of multiplcation of Christ seed AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN . Ya gotta realize there wd have neva been a natural Israel without this abraham issac and jacob scenario father son and granson that became as the sands of the seas The earthy PROMISE which was a metaphor for the heavenly PROMISE, The Israel of GOD which are spirits the H.G plural. A much greater ISRAEL then abrahams ISRAEL. The Abrahamic Promise was Good but the Christ Promise is Eternal life a KINGDOM in our hearts .

    Luke 18

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: AND COME AND FOLLOW ME.

    Comment by Mishael:

There's more, so read that chapter to get the full story.

You're not under any kind of judgment for having financial plans. You already know it's not giving you a sense of eternal security.

Only Jesus can give you what you seek. As you seek Him in Prayer, someday you will know His financial suggestions for you.

Having money is harder than not having it.

I find Jesus very willing to advise me who to give money to. It's like The Holy Spirit says this one or that one. I asked to win the lottery so I could give it to all the World feeding ministries....and I got silence on that. I still give to feeding ministries on a budget.

When I was a street evangelist, I bought McDonald's food coupons for the alcoholics in the street, or I took them to I-Hop. I made fresh sandwiches. I worked in a church feeding program, giving out boxes of food. People were always nice to me; told me lots of heartbreaking stories. Everybody in the streets know who Jesus is!

Don't feel bad about your past. Let Jesus be Lord over your money. Marriages get torpedo'd because of money. Your Partner will be The Lord Jesus. Listen to Him. Follow Him. It takes a lot of relationship to agree on everything: including money.

Read the New Testament and Gospels to really study what Jesus taught about money. What is His heart?

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in ME ye might have PEACE. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Note: this PEACE (from GOD & through JESUS) is assured too us by JESUS, never-the-less we allow ourselves to become wrongly-entangled with a false or man-made peace from such things as education, jobs, 401K, IRA, money, stuff, thereby not being mindful we selfishly become addictive to them and chase them many years to discover (some never discover) we wasted years of our life on things that will not matter nor value nothing when tested by GOD.

My husband has gone to be with JESUS now over 8 years...........We have lots of young'uns'. grandyoung'uns' and great-grandyoung'uns' but my heart still grieves for the love that I have lost..............They told me that as the years go by the hurt lessens...........But not so...........

Thru' these years I dream of him but never see him but in my dreams I know it is my love....

When my days get dark the only thing I can rely on is I know my JESUS cares...................

I believe in only GOD'S words, not man's................GOD is good to me but will the hurt ever go away in my lifetime and HIS words that I so need to hear...........

When my love left me I was sooooooooooo happy as I knew he was happy but as the years go

by the longing gets so much worse...........Please pray for me..........

    Thank you

We can read the bible for ourselves with the guidance of the Spirit of truth . Some things in the bible are hard to understand, but generally with or without the guidance of the Holy Spirit our understanding is determined. The key is to have an ear for the truth and if we listen God will give us more truth . If we turn away from the truth we lose from getting more light . Never quit ! Go on seek the Lord and live ...

It is May 2020, 3rd month of COVID-19 Pandemic. The verse says we will have tribulation. This event is no surprise to Him. We must remain in Him! But even during these times we can have peace and be of good cheer. Because Jesus has overcome!

Jesse your points well taken and I feel the same exact way on preachers on TV. TV is filth and then for a couple of hours on Sunday they allow Jesus to be preached? I do not think so. Especially the big names on the airwaves are the ones I trust the least. Many churches are state incorporated 501 C 3 IRS approved tax exempt businesses, esp the larger denominations. They must agree to never teach against "public policy" to keep their tax exempt status. Things like legal abortion, sodomite marriage, etc you get the idea. So basically many churches are actually state chartered corporations with the name "church" in there somewhere. You can look this up with the Department of state (your states) division of corporations or businesses.

    Thanks Bob,

It just kinda sounded odd to me to have someone go to YouTube for answers when all the answers can be found in scripture. I'm not saying it's wrong to go there if that's what someone chooses to do, and it's not my place to do so. It's just that for myself personally, I am not sure that I can trust YouTube as a reliable source of truth. There probably are some good teachers with YouTube channels, no doubt. I'm just hesitant to go there I guess.

You do make a great point about getting kicked off for preaching truth. We see a lot of that today, and it's getting worse. I'm not too sure how much longer we will have our freedom as believers. I guess that's a normal response to the truth in an unbelieving world. Sometimes we as believers get offended when we are witnessing the truth to someone and they reject us. But doesn't Paul even say that even when they reject, that is a victory? When I was a new believer, I used to get upset when I would try and share Christ and someone would reject what I shared. But not I realize they aren't rejecting me, they're rejecting Christ. There's victory either way, whether they receive Him or reject Him, because Christ only wants those who are drawn to Him by the Father, not those who are coming for the wrong reason. Well, it's late for me so I'm signing out. Blessings in Christ!

  • Jesse - In Reply on John 16 - 3 years ago
Yes, thanks Bob for pointing that out. Matthew 24:2 was fulfilled, not partly, but completely, when Titus came in and destroyed the temple in 70 A.D. I guess it would have been more correct for me to say that at the time Matthew was written (60's A.D) everything was written as future events that had not yet been fulfilled, including Verse 2, the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. If the question had been asked if all these things were to be future events when Matthew was written, the answer would have been yes. If it was asked if any of the things in this chapter already have happened, I would have given a different response. But just looking at the question, it seemed like a general open-ended question. If you notice, I never mentioned Verse 2 at all. I started from Verse 4 and went from there, and those are future events.

Youtube? Is that a good source to get bible truth from?
  • Jesse - In Reply on John 16 - 3 years ago
    M Newsom,

Matthew Chapter 24 is dealing with a future event known as the Tribulation Period. This will be a 7 year period. It is broken up into three sections: Verses 4-14 deal with the first 3-1/2 years, known as "The pains of birth." Verse 15 is known as "The pivotal point" where the antichrist steps in and takes over the temple. And then Verses 16-28 deal with the last 3-1/2 years of the 7 year tribulation period. The last 3-1/2 years is known as the "Great Tribulation," a time when God's wrath will be poured out on a wicked and unbelieving earth.

And then from Verse 29 to Verse 31, we have the promise of Christ's coming. At His second coming, He is going to gather together, His elect, that would be the Jews, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west. That's why Romans 11:26 tells us that when Christ returns, all Israel will be saved. When Christ comes at His second coming, those Jews on the earth will be saved, approximately one-third of them that began the tribulation period.

So Matthew 24: chapter is the past, present, future. Sometimes you can read and still don't understand. Thanks I would like to stay connect with this site. Blessing
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on John 16 - 3 years ago
Matthew 24:2 was partly fulfilled in 70 AD when Rome destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and Matthew 24:30 is yet to happen, so it is future. saying all Matthew 24 is past or all is future is wrong. Oftentimes there is a partial fulfillment of Bible prophecy and then a future complete fulfillment. You could hit youtube search for End Times Matthew 24 Revealed

or something along those lines. I hope that helps.

Matthew 24: chapter is it about the past present, or future?
  • Jesse - In Reply on John 16:28 - 3 years ago
    Robert,

Jesus was preparing His disciples for the things which were about to come, His crucifixion, death, resurrection, and His ascension up to heaven to prepare a place for us until He comes back at His second coming.

Verse 32, Jesus says they will scatter, every man to his own way. There will come a time when Jesus is crucified, and the horror of that sight, and the disappointment and discouragement that will come upon them, they will all scatter! Jesus didn't say it was wrong. He said this is what you're going to do. Every man to his own, that is, his own house or place. They will scatter and go back to their own homes discouraged and disheartened. They are going to leave Him up on the cross to die alone, and yet Jesus says I am not alone because the Father is with me.

Verse 33, Jesus says these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jesus is telling them what to expect after He leaves. But He tells them that they will overcome, as He overcame. He says that in Him, they would have peace.

Peace is not a tranquil feeling that God gives us to make us feel good. Our peace is in Christ. In Ephesians 2:14, Paul says about the Jew and the Gentile who have been separated that in Christ, He is our peace. Peace is a person!

He is our peace who has made both one, Jew and Gentile, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us and brought us all into one. In the Greek text, EIRENE for peace means to unite, to become one.

For me to find my peace in Christ, it means that in all of my situations I lineup with Him, I unite with Him, and I keep my focus on Him. He will be my peace, my unity with Him.

Paul said in 1 Cor. 1:30-31 that Christ is our sanctification, Christ is our righteousness. I'm clothed in His righteousness. I've not gained any for myself. He went on to say Christ is our wisdom. Now we're told that Christ is our peace!

Comments by Alex on john 16 : 22 When he said he wd see them Again in a lil while which is a time of gestation. In v 22 after the woman gives birth Jesus says then i will See you Again. But this is so beautifully Presented in Rev 12 : 10 They saw him Again after the child was born the Child being the H.G. a KINGDOM CHILD,After the woman gives birth John said NOW IS COME SALVATION AND STRENGHT AND THE KINGDOM OF OUR GOD AND THE POWER of his Christ ( the Christ child which is the H.G.We are the Women, No more sorrows after her Child is come. A kingdom child, unless ya receive the Kingdom as a lil Child etc,You will in no wise enter there in. Thats y he said we must be bornagain i.e we must birth Christ in our hearts etc the son of man.The manchild is the H.G. simply b/c Jesus said that which is BORN OF THE SPIRIT ( HIS WORDS ) IS SPIRIT Jesus cd not refer to the H.G as the PROMISE unless the H.G WAS HIS OWN MULTIPLICATION,that was the great Promise i will multiply thy SEED as the stars of heaven thus when we are bornagain we will see him Again via the Promise the H.G. The woman keeps the commandments simply b/c she cannot sin simply b/c she is born of God thus she has the testimony of Jesus.

comments on John 16 v 18 they didnt understand what he was talking bout a lil while this and a lil while that its still a mystery but here is what it is When he goes to the father thats the seed sowing mode he is the sower of the good seed that is gona produce a lil child in us a spritual birth then we will see him again, whosoever receives one such child in my name receives me,Thats y he is telling them a bout a woman in travail and birth pains, his seed is gona result in sorrows b/c i have spoken these words ( seeds ) sorrows have filled your hearts sorrows imply a spritual pregnancy but after the child comes then her sorrows are turned into joy which is the Child a spritual Child th H.G. He is impling a time of gestation, sorrows but after the child comes then our sorrows are turned into joy. His voice is his words his seeds etc he is the bridegroom and his seed is his WORD ( HIS BREATH ETC ) The lil while he mentions is a time of Gestation our hearts is like a womb where that good seed will be sown.John said he was a friend of the bridegroom and my Joy is fulfilled just to hear the bridegrooms voice ( his words etc ) Thats y he tells them of a woman in travail and birth pains etc.We are gonna see him again when we birth him, thats y he saying unless ya receive the kingdom as a lil child, a lil child implies a birth.when they asked him about the 2 nd coming and the end of the world he mentions sorrows ( child birth ) our new birth 27 times the prophets saw the world in travail and birth pains there is a baby Christ in our future thats y he always refers to himself as the son of man.But jeremiah is very bold and says he saw ALL men in travail and birth pains no wonder Jesus said the field was the world where that good seed will be sown the child is the H.G.

Thats y he always spoke in parables it was hid spritually at that time as the BOOK is not opened till the last day as God told Daniel. Jesus said the good seed ( the book ) JESUS WORDS will be sown N HUMANITY thats y the Women goes into birth pains she heard the bridegrooms seed his WORDS THATS y the prophets saw the world in travail and birth pains as Jesus said the field was the world where that good seed will be sown and he said the good seed are children of the kingdom that are gonna be born in US via his seed th WORD
