    1) The Savior, differentuate between Him and His FATHER. He and His FATHER are two separate entities, working towards the same goal, which is to save us, All of us. 2) We are still obligated to do the10 Commandments, even though it is 2018. And the Commandments are not grievous. Just do it, you would be surprised, it IS for OUR BENEFIT. PLEASE!!! ALWAYS LOVE.

"These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." As the Lord told Peter to "Put up your sword into its place;" we are not to join causes to go to war with those.

As a retired minister, I preached and taught from this book countless times. I have, and still do, tell people if they never read a book from beginning to end, be sure it is this one. It is the only gospel that leans primarily on His love, and how we should strive to love each other. It is more than His teaching us, it is a direct commandment.
  • Jay de Leon M on John 15 - 6 years ago
John 15 reinforces our connection with Christ as we are compared to branches of the tree which symbolizes Him, our Lord. It is, indeed, an undeniable truth that without Him, we amount to nothing. This life is meaningless without faith, without love.
  • Jeff Berry on John 15 - 6 years ago
Jesus gave reasons why seed might not germinate (Chp 13; including not dying Chp 12). While groweth is essential fruit is the reproduction of a kind. I don't think we will always know when fruit has been produced (Chp 4)

Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated His unconditional love for humanity by death on the cross in order for us to be reconciled to the Almighty. What remains is for us to emulate His good example and we can fulfill our side of the bargain by loving God back through showing love one to another. Loving one another should not be a once off arrangement but rather a continued way of life. As children of God, the world will get to know who we exactly are if we love and continue in love.
  • A disciple on John 15 - 6 years ago
John 15:9 "As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love." Does the Father love the Lord Jesus Christ more than anyone else or any thing? So does the Lord Jesus love us who believe in Him. "AS the Father loves Jesus" according as He finds in Him all that is good and truly the perfect reflection of Himself: in like manner does the the Lord Jesus think about us. Father God sees in Jesus His Son and Jesus sees in us His little children with all the capacity and hope of growing up into a man after God's own heart, and everything a friend, a brother, or sister, should be. Someone who thinks about the other with reciprocal love and the same mind, and the same likes and dislikes one who has the same family traits. This love is what moves Him to release us of our debts, and never mention them again to us, when we're really sorry, and change for the better. This is the love that stays true and faithful when others raise a slander against you, and seek to humiliate and destroy you Jesus stays a true and faithful friend, and sticks up for you. If the Lord thinks likes this about us who believe in Him, and want with all our hearts to be pleasing and useful to Him how much should we also consider one another in the same way that we want Him to think about us! "Love wasn't put in your heart to stay love isn't love until you give it away!"

You know because He's our only friend.

Jehovah God loved his son very much and Jesus Christ shows that same love to us in return.
  • JuditLaw on John 15 - 6 years ago
Each book each chapter each verse shows how much oh God, our Father, and Lord love us. He continue to allow us to live, to have light and have food. A lot of us forget about how much our God love us.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on John 15 - 6 years ago
How obedient Jesus is to His Father. He loved His Father and His Father loved Him in return. Jesus wants us to love Him so we can enjoy the love of His Father and reap the bountiful blessings associated with such love. He told us in this chapter that even when He has gone to meet with His Father, He will send a Comforter- the Holy Spirit. The Triune God is complete and we must love the Trinity.

Our creator who is the vine supplies us with all necessary nourishment, nourishments to stay strong, firm and alive. I get grafted to Him and am well and well nourished physically, spiritually and all ramifications.

I am so blessed reading everyone's posts. As long as we all are trying to contribute and participate, it is just wonderful! Some are a little farther along; some are not as verbose as others; some are trying the best they can, but not quite getting it all; but we love one another, and respect and cherish our brethren. This is what makes this site so valuable. I hope everyone can find as much.
  • Blossom Wright on John 15 - 6 years ago
No, the Lord Jesus was not referring to the fruits but the fruit bearers
  • Irene123 on John 15 - 6 years ago
    V. 13 - " ... that a man (woman) lay down his life for his friends". To 'lay down' our life is to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the gift (Free) of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38. This is the only way our life for ourselves can be seen to be dead to our friends. Because the H. G. will effect a VISIBLE change they can see of new life.
  • Harrell Washington on John 15 - 6 years ago
