To lay down one's life simply means, I would be willing to have the love and courage to stand against evil to save my friends. There is no glory to die for a cause, the glory is in victory over evil, victory over death. What use do you serve if you die, burdening your friends with guilt. To stand in front of a burdened soul, protecting them from evil, that is where you'll find me laying my ground.

What is intriguing, about mathew,Mark,andLuke, is that because they do not read exactly the same, there must be an underlying reason the holy spirit is accomplishing. I am sorry if my comment upset you. You don't have all the details and have no idea why I think it would cause people in my life to repent. My little sister followed me into the world of drugs and alcohol. She is now a practicing prostitute, as is her daughter, to be able to support their heroine habit. Because I was the older brother and an alcoholic and addict myself, I know there's no way, other than shock that will reach her at this point. I have lived a deplorable existence and an act such as that would be the most effective way to reach people. By showing them that the wages of sin is death.
