  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
The Holy Ghost will never testify to himself the same as Jesus never testified to himself he always testified unto the father. The holy ghost will only testify unto Jesus Christ the savior and part out the gifts as he will for you and I to think otherwise is miniscule to what God can do

Mark, Be very careful not to accept answers from any source . As for the "rapture " so many people teach, Revelation 13 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Daniel 7 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. How is Satan going to do that if the saints are not here?
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
I do agree that the Holy Ghost is the power of God manifested, I have seen it for myself.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
The bible does not teach that we must speak in other tongues in order to be saved, The bible does say we must be without spot or blemish and believe who is Christ.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
the rapture to escape God 's wrath is plausible, we must be without spot or blemish to be considered worthy to participate in the rapture, after that I think we will return to earth to rule many nations, to fulfill the thousand years,
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
after that when Satan is loosed I have no idea
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
maybe we will be raptured to escape the wrath of God and then return to this earth to fulfill the thousand years, maybe when we return the sun and moon will be darkened and the heavens will depart as a scroll rolled together maybe then all will see who is the Christ and we will rule many nations
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
are we going to be raptured to stay in heaven or are we going to be transferred to this earth for the thousand years?
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
I guess then after the rapture and after God has had his wrath we will be transferred back to earth from heaven to rein for the thousand years on this earth for a time of peace and after that Satan will be loosed again is my thinking correct?
  • Joni G on John 1 - 9 years ago
I am so happy that Christ the Word is my Savior, King and Redeemer. The Word made a way for me and I am his daughter. When I grew up in the Baptist church, I remember singing "I 'm a Child of the King ". I love that song and God whispers in my ears at the quietest times to rest in Him and trust His Word. Thank you God for the Word, my Jesus.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 9 years ago
Hello Mark The rapture is a catching away of those, whether they are dead in Christ or alive in Christ, they will be caught up to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds, 1 Thessalonians 4 17. The saints will go directly to heaven. We will not go through the wrath of God during the tribulation period, 1 Thessalonians 1 10. The thousand years of peace comes right after the angel has chained that old serpent, the Devil and thrown him into a bottomless pit. This has not happened.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
for what reason would the rapture take place only to place us in the thousand years
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
what reason is the thousand years? maybe it is for to teach us how to be accepted into the kingdom of Christ, maybe it is for all those who will not accept the holy ghost and to teach them to do so. Why do we have a thousand years before we enter into the kingdom of christ
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
I do not think we automatically go to heaven, I think the thousand years is there for a reason
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
could it be possible that many without the holy ghost make the rapture? I tend to think yes, I think the thousand years is for Jesus to teach us before we enter into the kingdom of heaven
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
Thank you Joni, I am confused whether we must have the holy ghost and speak in tongues or not in order to be saved. I am one that believes, I do wonder out of all the churches that do not speak in tongues and believe whether they will be saved or not, I tend to think probably so. I do believe we must be in constant prayer and study of the scriptures. I do disagree that laying on of hands has died out I have been in services that laying on of hands has made a difference because of the power of God. I do not believe that parting of gifts has died there is still today workings of the gifts in many churches throughout.

When we were baptized into Christ we were baptized into his death and drank of the Holy Spirit. 1Corinthians 12 13.We are in one body, the bride of Christ. Mark you know the Holy Ghost is real. Isaiah 40 13, 14, 1 Corinthians 2 10, 13. It sounds you will experience more of the Spirit because you are seeking! I had the opportunity to go to some Be Still Retreats. There is much quiet time for prayer and praise to God. They are wonderful! Also, I have seen Christians after a half hour or more and the peace that they show is awesome. Alone time with God is awesome. The Holy Ghost guides us into all truth! I am probably saying things you already believe. I was a luncheon where Saeed Abedini, a christian imprisoned in Iran now spoke a few years ago. He said American Christians don 't pray enough. We are great at studying God 's Holy Word but really need to pray more and more fervently. He is correct!
  • Joni G on John 1 - 9 years ago
I see the movement of the Holy Ghost every day as He prompts me and other faithful believers to live for Him. Isn 't it wonderful to be redeemed as Christians and be set apart to live for Christ, study His word, pray fervently and be obedient to Him! Praise God that The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth as we go deeper in Him! Thy Word is Truth. Praise God and for the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit that stirs in our spirits as faithful believers!
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
I grew up in the Pentecostal teaching as a young child and I have seen the moving of the Holy Ghost, I am trying to sort and understand what it is that I believe for my own self, not just because someone tells me so, I need to know for myself. What I know for sure is that the Holy Ghost is real.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
It is so important to have the Holy Ghost working in our lives, To comfort us when needed, to guide us into all truth and to teach us, I am so thankful that we agree about the Holy Ghost, It is common ground that may be built upon, I am seeing that it may be best to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to honor him specifically.
  • Joni G on John 1 - 9 years ago
Part 2 for Mark. When Jesus comes again with the faithful saints who have died before us, we will be caught up with them in the air. The earth will be destroyed after that. The judgment will be begin. The books opened. The faithful will have Jesus blood that covered their sins. Those who didn 't believe Jesus and his words won 't be saved. I am not trying to disrespect anyone on this website by stating different views than theirs.

Mark, this comment is addressed to you. We need to follow the example of the first century Christians and be baptized into Christ. We are then added to his church, kingdom, etc. Jesus did not teach you have to speak in tongues, languages to be saved. He said you have to believe and be baptized. Mark 16 15 16. When we receive the Holy Spirit in baptism, he guides into all truth. We need to be in constant prayer and study of the scriptures. Buy a good concordance too.The laying on of hands stopped in the first century. Those who had hands laid on them couldn 't give gifts to others, so imparting of gifts died out. Also, most of Revelation has already happened. The first century Christians were persecuted to the extreme. John was asked in Chapter 1 of Revelation to not seal up the prophecy because events would soon take place. We need to be ready now for our Lord Jesus ' return.

Hello Mark We agree that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth. This is why I stated that "it speaks nothing but the truth ". I just added that he is also both Comforter and teacher. The Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance is what you need along with the baptism to get out of here when the rapture take place.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
The Holy Ghost is also the spirit of truth John 14 verse 17 Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him but ye know him for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 15 verse 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me John 16 verse 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will shew you things to come.
  • Gregory Dameron on John 1:2 - 9 years ago
It definitely seems as though the Holy Spirit intends to convey some deeper truth by repeating that Jesus was with God in the beginning but,as of now I have no clue what that deeper truth could be.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 9 years ago
Hello Mark The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God which is our comforter and teacher. Therefore, it speaks nothing but the truth that is written in the word of God. John 14 26 " But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
The Holy Ghost is the spirit of truth
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 9 years ago
Hello Evans Osifo The Bible states the following about truth John 17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth. I would like to clarify. This scripture does not say that some of the Bible is truth and other parts of it are not. This states that thy word is truth . This means every word in the word of God is truth. John 1 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 26. The other truth is that in order to be saved, truly saved, you must follow Acts 2 38. For this is the promise to everyone. If a person does not have Acts 2 38 and live a saved life then that person will not depart when the rapture takes place.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 9 years ago
Hello Mark Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16. Whether you believe it or not it still will not change the truth. It still does not change what it takes to be saved. It still does not stop the rapture or the tribulation from coming. My advice to you and to everyone that is not saved according to Acts 2 38 get saved and stay saved. You have to ask yourself this question, "Do I want to spend an eternity in Heaven or in Hell?
  • Mark on John 1 - 9 years ago
I do not see god claiming flesh as his son, the bible speaks against the flesh and its desires
