This whole chapter, and the entire Bible became so much more amazing to me once God showed me that the 'Word' spoken of in John chapter 1 is Jesus Christ. Verse 1: 'In the beginning was the Word(Jesus), and the Word(Jesus) was WITH GOD, AND THE WORD(Jesus) WAS GOD.'
How to comprehend the messiah coming into the world! We know that Christ and John were related, not by blood but family heritage.John new Christ even as a child growing up even though the holy spirit does not account these things.So when John proclaims the Christ, you can be assured of his relationship with Christ, even from the very beginning. The holy scripture has given us just enough info. that we might develop our own insight given through the study of them. In this we know that the holy spirit is in the word. This revelation takes place right here and now! The word made flesh and dwelt among us. John knows his calling, Knows the scriptures and fulfills the will of God the Father, proclaiming the coming of the Son of God.
YES! It is an abomination in the eyes of god! read 1 timothy 1:9-10, Romans 1:26-27, the bible clearly states that it is a shameless act and has a due penalty. God in his word in Jude 1:7 says that Sodom and Gomorrah served as an example of hat will happen if you peruse the unnatural lusts of the flesh- you will be cast into eternal fire!

He made all things, even the little details we don't know about yet. Such micro detail and macro detail at every scale. Ever look at a snowflake closeup? Or a butterfly's wing? I'm really enjoying slowly reading the book of john.the first verse explained a lot of things I couldn't put together the first verse started in the beginning was the word the word was with God,the word was God, genesis starts with in the beginning God created the world than jesus talking to his disciples said I am the word, the truth and the light.which I believe jesus was with God in the beginning (genesis)which helps me understand the trinity father, son holy spirit all in one jesus is -God.
I think our consciences sorta know homosexuality is a sin. If it's not then why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? He's only trying to protect us.

I didn't think I was leading others to return to the Law. If something is on the civil law books as illegal; we are actually told in the New Testament to obey those who have rule over us. It's in the Bible. These are the scriptures I was thinking of: Titus 3:1-2 and Hebrews 13:12.

Conversationally, I don't want my tax dollars to be used to fund poor women's abortions. Citizens need to vote, rally or petition Government to initiate laws to stop hijacking tax money for it. Make Choice bear that burden.

Homosexuality is a modern day name for an ancient sin called sodomy. I always heard that things natural are of God. Things un-natural are of Satan. Un-natural living is sin and is a candidate for salvation, forgiveness, cleansing and restoration. We make choices every day to follow Jesus or to follow satan. Choose life.
This is a rabbit trail, but one time I was reading Deuteronomy and God said "I'm Pro Life". My eyes bugged out and I said you shouldn't say that! So I re-read the scripture: CHOOSE life so that you and your kids may live.
If you choose Life (Jesus) you're going to have to give up gayness and homosexuality. Give it to Jesus and receive His Life.
