John Chapter 1 Comments ...

<-- Back to John chapter 1

A disciple's comment on 9/17/2017, 7:29am...

"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." John 1:17 Because of unbearable heavy pressure over the ages of persecution and slaughter against the Christians what was once rich and full of grace and knowledge and prosperity, has been reduced to the basest ignorance and desolation, except for a small remnant of the true and faithful. Unlike the ancient Israelites, the early Christians were wholly converted from the beginning, and blessed, and all the world around them was blessed with them. Then came the false prophet out of the wilderness of Arabia and his Beast ideology and commenced its 1400 plus years of persecution and destruction against the Christians, and of all the wonderfully blessed world that they made. Now we have these three lumped together wrongly called the "three Abrahamic Religions " Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. But there is only one religion of Abraham which Israel from their very nativity out of Egypt REJECTED, and still rejects to this day. And Islam is a heathen rage against the LORD and against His Anointed, having from it very beginning no other means of gaining converts but by fear of the violence and destruction, which is its core doctrine. Only the Faith of Jesus Christ the Son of God is the true faith of Abraham, and the only true way of salvation given by God to men. The Law was given to show Israel and the world the character and nature of God, in whose image we are made to replicate. The actual life giving Spirit which animates the Law, is the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in whom Abraham and Moses believed and walked all their days.

Preacher Charlie Chandler's comment on 8/08/2017, 11:16am...

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.1 John 5:7.

Preacher Charlie Chandler's comment on 8/04/2017, 5:34am...

And His name is called the Word of GOD Revelation 19:13.

Apo6's comment on 7/29/2017, 4:00am...

The Word IS Christ. Someone commented that because those scriptures said the word WAS God that the word was separate from God; The Word 'WAS' was used only because that chapter was written about PAST events, it is therefore Past Tense. It has nothing to do with the Word being Separated from God.

The Wheat from thetares.

Vanessa's comment on 7/26/2017, 12:00am...

Insight777 before Christ they sacrificed lambs for their sins in moses time, Christ soul purpose was to come and die on the cross for our sins, they no longer needed a lamb he was the lamb, he was the only born of flesh unlike us from dust, he is the spirit, the dove of peace, he is the light, not of dark and those that follow him and believe in him, shall live in light forever thank you Jesus

Ray321's comment on 7/22/2017, 2:42am...

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. THE WORD IS GOD. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word is ALIVE. think GOD

Evangelist Andrew Kelly's comment on 7/18/2017, 2:00pm...

God and his word is ALWAYS two separate things. Numbers 11:23] And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. Psalm 107:20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Proverbs 2:[1] My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;"

Evangelist Andrew Kelly's comment on 7/18/2017, 9:45am...

John 1:1 is where preachers and congregations get bewitched and stumble over. John 1:1-2 is telling us "The Word was God's Word" and NOT God was the word. The word ((was)) is past tense and ((and)) a conjunction joining three separate thoughts into a sentence. God and his word are two separate things always. God made the world by speaking words and NOT with two hands like you and I have.

Steve morrow's comment on 6/29/2017, 10:10pm...

JOHN 3:19 AND THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION THAT LIGHT IS COME INTO THE WORLD AND MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT BECAUSE THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL --- 3:20 FOR EVERYONE THAT DOETH EVIL HATETH THE LIGHT NEITHER COMETH TO THE LIGHT LEST HIS DEEDS SHOULD BE REPROVED --- 3:21 FOR EVERYONE THAT DOETH TRUTH COMETH TO THE LIGHT THAT HIS DEEDS MAY BE MADE MANIFEST THAT THEY ARE WROUGHT IN GOD

Steve morrow's comment on 6/29/2017, 5:52am...

PSALM 119:130 THE ENTRANCE OF THY WORDS GIVETH LIGHT IT GIVETH UNDERSTANDING UNTO THE SIMPLE ----- JOB 38:2 WHO IS THIS THAT DARKENETH COUNSEL BY WORDS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE -----JOB 42:6 WHEREFORE I ABHOR MYSELF AND REPENT IN DUST AND ASHES ----- 42:7 AND IT WAS SO THAT AFTER THE LORD HAD SPOKEN THESE WORDS UNTO JOB THE LORD SAID TO ELIPHAZ THE TEMANITE MY WRATH IS KINDLED AGAINST THEE AND AGAINST THY TWO FRIENDS FOR YOU HAVE NOT SPOKEN OF ME THE THING THAT IS RIGHT AS MY SERVANT JOB HATH

A disciple's comment on 6/08/2017, 8:24pm...

Insight777; Its very dangerous to be saying, "thus saith the LORD," when God has not said anything to you! There are a lot of things you are getting seriously wrong. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world; and teaching IS NOT shedding of the blood! All your analogies are nothing according to the truth of the Scriptures, but fake spiritualism! and out of your own head!

Insight777's comment on 6/08/2017, 5:20pm...

Jesus never called himself the Lamb. Jesus never said I am going to die for your sins.
Jesus did say he is the shepherd. Jesus said feed my lambs. Jesus was Holy from birth but the Spirit he received upon baptism is the knowledge of the new religion he was to establish.Jesus had full knowledge of the Jewish religion but not the direction from God to separate completely from it for human salvation.

Lu2677's comment on 6/08/2017, 6:59am...

Insight7John 11-14 is talking about Christ. He most certainly was born with the Holy Spirit from the womb. You say he was not. John witnessed of the Light=Jesus. John saw the Holy Spirit descending on Christ so John would know when people believed on Christ they would receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Holy Spirit, he is God he came to earth in the flesh. Can he be separated from himself? No.

Sheri Stump's comment on 6/02/2017, 9:00am...

God tells us in Gen 1 that He and the word are one. Is the word Jesus? Yes in John 1:14 says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Jesse Bryant's comment on 5/28/2017, 7:09pm...

John 1:18 dispels the idea of Jesus as "the angel of the Lord". This chapter makes it abundantly clear that Jesus and the Father are one and the same God (though distinct in person). The angel of the Lord is just that, the angel, not the Lord.

Peter A. Okebukola's comment on 5/23/2017, 10:13pm...

The Trinity is revealed in this Chapter. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit have been one since the beginning of time. The Word- Jesus Christ, came down to the world to take away our sins. John had the singular privilege of being a forerunner and baptising Jesus with water who will in turn, baptise with the Holy Spirit. The Book of John is deep.

Bruce's comment on 5/18/2017, 9:32pm...

--- Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold --- but with the Precious Blood of Christ as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot.1Peter 1:18-19 /--- He was led as a Sheep to the slaughter and like a Lamb dumb before His shearer---Acts 8:32. / Thank you for being on here,it helps us believers to be stronger and more in His Word. Whosoever: Revelation 20:15. Forever.

Insight777's comment on 5/18/2017, 9:12am...

Jesus is the shepherd not the lamb. John said behold the Lamb of God. The Lamb of God is the church that takes away the sins of the world by teaching=shedding the blood of Christ which is the new testament taught to them by Jesus. Water baptism is taught for the remission of sin and the voice of God approves. John was telling Jesus, here is your lamb=church that you come to lead to God and save.

Lu2677's comment on 5/14/2017, 6:50pm...

John 1:5"And the light shineth in darkness, and darkness comprehended it not." The context of the verse is Jesus is the light in a dark world. And the wicked of his day did not comprehend who he was. Jesus is the Word; Those that walk in darkness cannot comprehend the Word of God; Scripture. They add to it, take away from it, reject it, hate it, they turn the word of God into lewdness,

Peter's comment on 5/10/2017, 6:29am...

John 1 is a very important charter where we can see Jesus as God and God in Jesus wherein the Trinity is explicitly defined and explained. John the baptist also gives it clearly. What more can one not believe this witness and testimony. Truly Jesus is God and John the Apostle gives an eye witness of everything as he saw, knew and testify so that we can believe in Jesus Christ the Lord. amen.

Irene123's comment on 5/07/2017, 1:53pm...

LU2677 - Thank-you for your concern but - I didn't have you in mind when I posted anything about the Godhead. I had people in mind who might be hungry for truth OR - want to see some truth on here that are of the same mind as me. I don't care who comments on my postings, I know the truth of God's word, and have for nearly 50 yrs.; not quite 50, but close. Matt.28:19; Acts2:38; 4:10

Lu2677's comment on 5/06/2017, 12:41pm...

Irene, I see from your post 3mo. ago and your post where you say God was alone when he said"Let us make man in our image" that you have no understanding of John 1:1. Do you not know that The Word and Jesus is one in the same?

Steve morrow's comment on 3/02/2017, 6:52am...

acts 2:38 then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins and you shall receive the holy spirit --- ACTS 2:41 THEN THEY THAT GLADLY RECEIVED HIS WORD WERE BAPTIZED AND THE SAME DAY THERE WERE ADDED UNTO THEM ABOUT THREE THOUSAND SOULS --- 1 PETER 1:23 BEING BORN AGAIN NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED BUT OF INCORRUPTIBLE BY THE WORD OF GOD WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER --- JOHN 6:63 IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH THE FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU THEY ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE--- 2 THESSALONIANS 2:8 AND THEN SHALL THAT WICKED BE REVEALED WHOM THE LORD SHALL CONSUME WITH THE SPIRIT OF HIS MOUTH AND SHALL DESTROY WITH THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS COMING
