JOHN CHAP.1 GIVES TOTAL PROVE OF WHO JESUS IS AND THE REIALITY OF PURPOSE& AND EXISTEN. JESUS IS ALIVE!
  • Shafnette
Truly Jesus is the Son of God & God at the same time, son of God is actually a title given by God To people who have the holy spirit.King David was called firstborn son(psalm 89:26-27)Jesus is the first and the last(Rev1:8) but when He was about to be send from God,God said He is sending him as a Son(Psalm2:6-7)Apostle Paul says those who have God spirit are Gods sons(8:14,Heb12:23)son of God is a connontation meaning people who hav the holy spirit God sayin that He bore them,Jesus came as a person like me & u and he had the holy spirit hence the son of God but he was the manisfestation of God(1Timothy3:16,Isaiah9:6,Malachi3:1Psalm45:6-7).There is no trinity God is one Jesus is the manisfestation of God bodily,Jesus came in the Power of the Holy Spirit and that Holy Spirit is God.Jesus being the word of God is goes back to Moses when God spoke wit people from a burning mountain people were so afraid and trembling, they asked Moses to speak wit them in God's place then Moses said God wil send someone from among them whom God wil speak through who is the Word of God(Deutoronomy18:16-18)

I believe and know that Jesus is Jehovah's son there isn't any doubt in my mind.and lets look at it like this too, if Jesus was god in the flesh and he came here telling everyone he was gods son... wouldn't that make Jesus a liar... hmm.john 8:44 shows who the liar is..Jesus and Jehovah wouldn't mislead people
  • Bridget Owens
I have read over John and I agree with it one-hundred %. John loved God and followeed what ever he was told. God, Jesus and the holy spirit are all one. John is also mentioned inthe chapter of Revelations. Whoever reads this, may God bless you all and please pass it on.

Can one be with one and be one at the same time. verse 2 reafirms that the Word was with God.
Verse 18 says no NO ONE has seen God at ANY time!
Jesus explained him. Seeing Jesus was LIKE seeing
God because he was "the image of the invisible God
the first born of every creature" (Col 1:15,2 Cor 4:4 Heb 1:3) in this way it can be said " I and the Father are one" (John 10:30) & "he that has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9) There is no mystery. Jesus is the the SON of the one and only true God (John 17:3) He himself said I ascend unto my father and your father; and to my God and your God.(John 20:17)
This reasoning harmonizes with the whole Bible with no contradictions.

    Trinity

Definition: The central doctrine of religions of Christendom. According to the Athanasian Creed, there are three divine Persons (the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost), each said to be eternal, each said to be almighty, none greater or less than another, each said to be God, and yet together being but one God. Other statements of the dogma emphasize that these three “Persons” are not separate and distinct individuals but are three modes in which the divine essence exists. Thus some Trinitarians emphasize their belief that Jesus Christ is God, or that Jesus and the Holy Ghost are Jehovah. Not a Bible teaching.
What is the origin of the Trinity doctrine?
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.
According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.
John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

Jesus is the the fleshly representation of God's word. Hense he is known as the Word, and there are other descriptions we will confirm. The Greek vernacular of the scripture tranalated interlinearly says (John1:1,"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was toward the God, and god was the Word." the Greek spellings of God is capitalized in "toward the God" and not capitalized in," god was the Word." When translated from the Greek root meaning, it reads in english this way, " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God , and the Word was a god." Jesus is a god. Not God the Almighty.
Jesus is also known in the scriptures as the Son of man. (Acts 7:56) and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.”Compare, Matthew 25:31) “When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne.
If The Son of man (Jesus)is God Almighty would it be reasonable for him to approach one greater than himself? Consider if you will DAN 7:9,10.. 9)"I kept on beholding until there were thrones placed and the Ancient of Days sat down. His clothing was white just like snow, and the hair of his head was like clean wool. His throne was flames of fire; its wheels were a burning fire. 10) There was a stream of fire flowing and going out from before him. There were a thousand thousands that kept ministering to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand that kept standing right before him. The Court took its seat, and there were books that were opened...
Continuing, DAN 7:13,14 “I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14) And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.(The Ancient of Days clearly describes God)
Compare; (Hebrews 1:1-4,6) 1) God, who long ago spoke on many occasions and in many ways to our forefathers by means of the prophets, 2) has at the end of these days spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things. 3) He is the reflection of [his] glory and the exact representation of his very being, and he sustains all things by the word of his power; and after he had made a purification for our sins he sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. 4) So he has become better than the angels, to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs........verse 6) But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him.” Compare also Matthew 25:31) “When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. (Acts 7:56) and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.” Clearly two distinct entities.
Another scripture taken from the Greek Scriptures (New Testament) shows that Jesus is before all creation (God Almighty's only direct creation). In the Greek writings the wording would appear this way. John 17:5 ,"and now glorify me you, Father, beside to yourself to the glory which I was having before of the the world to be beside you. Translated in english to say,"So now you,Father, glorify me beside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.
Notice in Hebrews 1:6 it mentions Jesus as being Firstborn. Jesus was with God ions before the 6 days of creation. In fact all things were created by God through Jesus, Col 1:15-17 (again line for line the Greek would read) "who is image of the God the invisible, firstborn of all creation, because in him it was created the all (things)in the heavens and upon the earth, the (things) visible and the (things) invisible, whether thrones or lordships or governments or authorities;the all (things) through him and into him it has been created; and he is before all(things)and the all (things) in him it has stood together. Versed in englih it reads , "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all other (things) were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible,no matter whether they are thrones,or lordships, or governments or authorities. All other(things)have been created through him and for him. Also he is before all (other) things and by means of him all (other) things were made to exist." Before time as we know it, Jesus was the only direct creation by God (Jehovah). Then all things were created by God (Jehovah) through Jesus. Therefore we read as previously mentioned by Joe on 10/15/2011 @9:38 am,(God speaking to Jesus)," God said in Ge 1:26 "Let US make man in OUR own image."
Jesus in the Greek is Iesous' and in Hebrew it is Yeshua and means (Jehovah Is Salvation)as mentioned by Ray R on 10/12/2011 @ 2:40 am. This should not be misconstrued to mean it is another name or descriptive identity of Jesus. Note other names and their meanings in the bible; Jeconiah (Jehovah Firmly Establishes), Jecoliah (Jehovah Has been Able), Jeberechiah (Jehovah Blesses), Jedidiah (Beloved of Jah) Jah being the short version of Jehovah , example Ha-le-lu-jah meaning praise be to Jehovah.
Clearly these others are in no connection with Jesus nor are they considered to be God The Almighty. Their names describe who Jehovah is and what He is synonymus with. Jesus is our very salvation in that he was the sacrificial lamb provided by Jehovah for covering mans sins. Reasonably then, Jesus being the very sacrifice given for us would be the correct and rightful meaning of his name,"Jesus" meaning (Jehovah Is Salvation). Also mentioned was the Christ meaning: Annointed. Annointing is an act of one individual to another. Indicating two distinct individuals.
On a final note Jesus in reply to his disciples questions at Matthew 24:3 explains the sign of his presence and the occurrence of things at the conclusion of this system. Better known as Armageddon. Jesus words at Matthew 24:36, " Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens, nor the Son,but only the Father." In a trinitarian godship all godheads are omnipotent. All have exact power. Equal if you will. Not one greater than the other. All knowing of everything together. Jesus clearly stated he did not know the day or hour. Only the Father knew that time frame. Jesus spoke of how some one could speak against him (The Son of man)and be forgiven, but speaking against the holy spirit would never be forgiven.(MT 12:32) Again this would not stand to reason in a trinitarian worship.
Accurate knowledge is the means of salvation. Jesus said in John 17:3 "This means ever lasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

just wanted to respond to Takiris about the verse 1.It seem that way but what it is.The third part is when he spoke and everythung came into exsistence. In the begining was the word which was God(1),The word was with God,thats the word inside Him before He spoke(2)Then when He spoke everything was made that was made(3) hope this help with your understanding.
  • Takiri
I have read John.1:1 and I only see two individuals not three! the Word was and the Word(Jesus) was with God.How can Jesus be one and the same person where the sciptures clealy state that he is with his Father, no way that he is part of a Trinity. Also at verse 18 this is what it says "No man has seen God at any time;the only-begotten god who is in the bosom postion with the Father is the one that has explained him.So the Trinity is false no where in the bible is the Trinity found. Was John contradicting himself no way.(2Tim.3:16)The problem is not the bible it is us, we need ask God for his Holy Spirit and he will help us understand

  • Bible believer for verse 1
Trinity is a man made word its not in the bible but it means 3 in 1

the bible tells us Jesus is God

the bible tells there is 3 that bear record in heaven the father the son and the holy ghost and these 3 ARE 1

only God can forgive sin the bible tells us that,Jesus forgave sin

only God is to be worshiped the bible tells us that,Jesus was worshiped

come on people read your bible its there in God word in black and white
  • Shafnette
Yes Jesus was God in bodily form,is what Apostle Paul said on 1Timothy3:16,the prophet Isaiah9:6-7.this are most straight forward scriptures about Jesus being God and Jesus Himself spoke about Himself being one with the Father meaning Father and Son being One is God(john10:30,17:20-23) and Jesus also made it straight about his nature sayin He came out of God(john8:42,16:26-30) and will return back to Him since they are one
  • The bible does not refer to a trinity. God does speak of himself in the plural. The Godhead includes three aspects of the same intity. God said in Gen 1:26 "Let US make man in OUR own image." So then we are made the same? We have a body, a soul, and a spirit. The body houses all 3 aspects. The soul which includes the mind, or controling aspect. And the spirit which is our divining life force. we are born with a worldly spirit. when we accept the spirit of the lord our worldly spirit dies.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God speaks to us in a still small voice or with his thoughts. Although he could use thunder or any other loud voice to get his point across he works on our minds through his spirit which is shared equally with all believers.

So Gods mind (or his word) was sent to live, teach, and suffer along with us and become the ultimate blood sacrifice to cover our sins.

    John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

It stands to reason if Jesus is the word of God that when you talk to Jesus Christ you are talking to the very mind of God.

Brief note from my notes in the introduction of the Gospel of John
Deity of Christ – Jesus means “Jehovah is Salvation” and Christ means “The Anointed One”. Titus 1:4 “To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus (Jehovah is Salvation) Christ (the Anointed One) our Savior.” Whenever you come across the word “LORD” in all capitals in the KJV it is God’s name “Jehovah”. Isa.43:1 “But now thus saith the LORD (Jehovah) that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” Isa.43:3 “For I am the LORD (Jehovah) thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.” Isa.43:10-11 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD (Jehovah), and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD (Jehovah); and beside me there is no saviour.”Isa.45:21-22 “Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD(Jehovah)? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Dt.32:39 “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” Isa.7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”Isa.9:6 “For unto us (Israel) a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS (Jehovah is Salvation): for he shall save his people from their sins.”
See I John 4:1-3 Notice vs 3 “By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus (Jehovah is Salvation) Christ (the Anointed One) has come in the flesh is of God” Jesus is not “a” God – He is GOD-Gen.1:1, Isa.43:10-11, Dt.32:39, I John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy [Spirit]: and these three are one” God is a TRINITY – God the Father, God the Word (who came in the flesh-Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.
  • Trina for verse 18
Jesus was the Godhead bodily, meaning that when you have seen Jesus you also see God bc God is the spirit that is inside of Jesus. Verse 14 says that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, meaning that God created Himself a body and poured the fulness of Himself into that body. That is why that body knew no sin nor did any sin. He took our sin upon Himself for our salvation.
  • Robert A. Scott
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.(1 Corinthians 2:14) Only with the Spirit of God can we know God's truth.
  • Scriptures I like disputing the trinity
    John 1 verse 2; John 1:14; John 20: 17; 1 John 1: 1-3; John 5: 26, 36, 37. Just a few.
Why did God’s prophets not teach it?
WHY, for thousands of years, did none of God’s prophets teach his people about the Trinity? At the latest, would Jesus not use his ability as the Great Teacher to make the trinity clear to his followers? Would God inspire hundreds of pages of Scripture and yet not use any of this instruction to teach the Trinity if it were the “central doctrine” of faith?

Are Christians to believe that centuries after Christ and after having inspired the writing of the Bible, God would back the formulation of a doctrine that was unknown to his servants for thousands of years, one that is an “inscrutable mystery” “beyond the grasp of human reason,” one that admittedly had a pagan background and was “largely a matter of church politics”?

The testimony of history is clear: The Trinity teaching is a deviation from the truth, an apostatizing from it.

Commenting on Chris Boyd's Comments. God created us with the ability to think, discern, to reason from the scriptures. For thousands of years he led a nation, a group of people he made a covenant with to be their God. A nation that was dedicated to him. He promised them a messiah, that would come from Abraham's lineage. Through his prophet Daniel he gave us a time table when the messiah would appear. He later raised John up to prepare the people for this messiah. When John came and was doing certain things, the people asked him John if he was the messiah, why? because it was foretold he would come and they they were in expectation of him. At Jesus's baptism, the scripture said God's spirit came upon Jesus and a voice said "this is my beloved son in whom I approved"; John then said," I have seen it and I have borne witness that this one is the Son of God". How are we to understand that? previously in the same chapter vs 18 John said no man has seen God at any time, the son is who explain or declare him. What boggles my mind is, where is the God that had early dealings with the nation of Israel? did he just disappear or did he manifest himself as someone else? This would be misleading wouldn't you agree? What would be the purpose of God doing that if he wants us to worship him in an acceptable way? The bible said he does not do anything unless he reveals it to his servants. His word the bible is the means in which he does that. When reading, read the context of the scriptues/ surrounding verses to get the sense of what is being said. If you approach the bible looking to find something to support what you already believe you will not find truth. There cannot be 2 sets of truths if they are not in agreement. God wants us to worship him in Spirit and in Truth. He is a God of order. His goal is not to confuse us but for us to draw close to him and have a relationship with him. We can't do that unless we first come to know who he is. So, get to know your creator. Jesus said, this means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God and the one whom you sent forth Jesus christ. Did you cath that? knowledge leads to everlasting life.

I thank God that He pulled me out of organized religion by giving me the LOVE OF TRUTH. I wasn't aware of what God was doing, but I thought to myself: there must be something better, this religion is dead... Sure enough, about 2 years later, God had me run into a brick wall, and my only choice than was to call upon HIM, the TRUE Living GOD, repent of my straying and wanting to do my own will. I gave Him then a challenge: to show me His Truth, I didn't want any of that religious scam; to manifest Himself to me (Jn. 14: 21), and to show me a Church of His choice where I could serve Him. GOD did all of that and much more, I found in Him a true Father, which erased the false picture I had of Him as Father, He manifested Himself in 3 different ways: by testifying His Word in sending such light, love and power when I was reading a verse concerning His Word, I almost fainted in the process; by showing me an assembly of men and women of God, soulwinners, true Bible believers; and finally, as I was having problems praying in the English language, French beeing my mother's tongue, I asked God what I should do about it, and a couple weeks later, as I was busy serving Him, inviting children to ride the bus on Sundays, around 1 PM, as a strong migraine headache came on me, I got back on the road and thought: "man, I'm going to hit the bunk as soon as I get home..." As I was in these thoughts, suffering under the pain, God spoke to me in English and said: "Take the next road to the left". I was so pleasantly surprised, and so amazed, WOW... But I said: "Lord I'm sick , I have to go to the house" In fact I wanted to hear His voice again, and sure enough, God repeated to me the same phrase, so I stood on the brakes, as I was getting very close to that road and I turned left. Then I said: "Here am I Lord" He didn't say anything else so I thought: "who do I know on this road?" I only knew one sweet old christian lady living in an old trailer. I went directly to her door and knocked, a weak voice said: "Come in, come in", so I did just that, and when she saw me she started crying of joy and said: "I've been praying for 3 days that God would someone to me". She had a bad kidney infection. I knew she was alone, no family no friends in the area, but I didn't know she had no phone, so her only alternative was to ask God to send someone. I was in the area, open to do God's work and He asked me to go visit her, and at the same time He answered my request about this language problem I had by speaking to me in English. From that time on I found it extraordinary to speak with my Lord in the English language without feeling uncomfortable. That's when I started walking with God, who was to me more real than anything I could see or touch. We talked together all day, for specific subjects I'd get on my knees and God would give me an answer soon after. It was really incredible, but I was so thankful to have met the True Living God and to live such a fulfilled life, though I was so weak, and God showed me every one of my sins so I could get forgiveness and strength to overcome, and our relation grew more and more. "...grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ..." There's nothing in the world as GREAT as to be in tune with the True Living God!!! Chris

    Hello everyone,
True Believers of God, (cf. 1st comment above) are the ones who have received the True Living Word: the Lord Jesus Christ, (I Peter) who is God manifested in the flesh (ITim. 3:16) a wonderful verse that so called scholars have corrupted. A true believer of God is certainly not one who criticizes the Word of God, or tries to diminish the meaning of any portion of it, as a way to promote his own private interpretation or what his or her organization teaches, like this dear Dottie who probably supports the teachings of the Jehovah's Witness, a man made organization which does what the Roman Catholic Church has always said: don't read the Bible alone, but trust what your priest teaches you. Jehovah says: "Cursed is the man who leans on the arm of the flesh... (who trusts man in terms of faith and salvation) But blessed is the man who puts his trust in the LORD" The Jehovah witness organization has first corrupted the Greek text of the NT, the proof is that it's one of a kind, no manuscript supports their greek version. And to top it off, they've also twisted the translations of their own manuscript in whatever language it was translated. A typical proof that it's a cult is that they believe, like the RCC, "Outside of our organization, no salvation". Seek the Lord for yourself, you will find Him, but you have to receive the LOVE OF THE TRUTH from God in order to receive the True Living Word of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Savior. If you're not willing to put your "organization" in doubt, whichever it may be, and to seek and trust the True Living God and HIM alone, you will bust HELL wide open, whether you believe in Hell or not, that doesn't change the fact that it's real. Don't leave an organization for another one, you'll never know if they teach the Truth or not. Go directly to the Creator, The LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who's been calling men and women for centuries, that you may seek HIM, not an organisation, come to HIM, not an organized religion, trust HIM and not mankind... "Choose ye this day whom ye will serve" YOU will have to face God Almighty, no organization will be there to usher you into Eternity, and YOU and only you can and must and take this decision. Do it with the True Living God at your side, His precious Word which He left with us, but let go all human loyalties to be free to become a child of God through the New Birth, through Christ who died for you personally, paid the price of your own SINS in His death on the cross, so you can have Eternal Life by trusting Him.

So many people take John 1:1 as Jesus is GOD. But even if the article "a" was left out of the scripture or not there at all.....with reading the rest of the scripture as it reads, just doesn't make sense!!

John 1:1 - 1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus)........was"WITH GOD", and the Word (JESUS) was God. 2 The SAME was in the beginning WITH God.
Okay, Now who is referred to in verse 2 when it says "the same" WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH "GOD"? So saying that Jesus is THEE GOD, When in verse 2. it is saying then that the same (Jesus God) WAS in the beginning WITH GOD (Jesus God) ? ? If Jesus is God, then how can you have someone...... with someone......WHEN BOTH DESCRIBING WORDS ARE "describing" the same person...."JESUS AS GOD"??? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE..... YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THIS WITH ALL RATIONABILITY AND LOGIC. If someone is "WITH" someone, BUT that "someone" is the same person.......then the sentence wouldn't describe God as having someone "WITH" HIM ? ? ? That is where Satan is really messing up people so they don't find or listen to the "Truth" of the Bible! He knows who the TRUE worshippers are of GOD.

  • David
Well as far as I can see, John, whoever he was, is entitled to his opinion but until we know who he was exactly, what his relationship to Jesus was and more importantly what events fix him historically we should remain cautious regarding his testimony. Superficially he appears to be a Jew who hated Jews whilst few Biblical scholars seem to believe that his gospel is the work of a single author. Most perplexing.
  • Willis
God was human being in Jesus so that the earthly fraternity could accept him and the gospel to get space amongst the men
