Discussion for John 6:66

  • Andy G van den Berg on John 6:66
FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD AND EVANGELIZATION

The Word of God is God (John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4).

The believers are not of this world. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

    Additional readings as confirmation.

    John 7:7; 8:23; 15:19; 17:9,14,16; 18:36.

    Romans 12:2.

    1 Cor. 2:12; 3:19. 2 Cor. 6:17.

    Galatians 1:4.

    Ephesians 2:2.

    1 John 2:15; 4:5; 5:4.

The Word of God is God (John 1:1) and the scriptural references we use serve as confirmation that it is not us that speak, but the Spirit of our Father that speaketh in us (2 Samuel 23:2; Matthew 10:20; Acts 4:8; 6:10).

The believers and followers of the true Christ do not involve themselves in the affairs of this world.

    God cannot be received by this present world and so-called world evangelization (global unity) is a deception at the highest level and the workings of the spirit of this world (John 1:5,10; 8:23; 14:17,22; 15:19,20; 17:9,14,16,25; 18:36; Rom. 8:7; 1Cor. 1:20; 2:4-8, 12-14; 1 Thess. 3:3; 2 Tim. 3:12; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15; 3:1; 5:4,19; 2 John 7).

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe (2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

    In His Service.

Is it considered bad to show someone this as your favorite bible verse?
  • Chris - in Reply on John 6:66
Is that your favourite verse? I wouldn't consider it wrong to show someone John 6:66 but if that person should enquire about it's significance, maybe you could point him to Revelation chapter 13 & alert him to the coming time when the Anti-Christ will demand worship of him & all who do so are rejecting God & will suffer the Wrath of God (Revelation 14:9-11). It could be a good lead in for presenting the Gospel.
  • ALEX .O.Ejiro on John 6:66
Initially they could not underscore the words of christ in its real fashion this is hard saying who can hear them they were not new born babies that desire the sincere milk of the world But they among those that follow christ from the feeding with the five loaves To me their God is their belly they thus stumble at the stumbling block and went back to the things they left behind Nevertheless he destroy them not because of his holy covenant which he made with his faithful abraham
