Wesley's Notes for John 6:40

6:40 Here is the sum of the three foregoing verses. This is the will of him that sent me - This is the whole of what I have said: this is the eternal, unchangeable will of God. Every one who truly believeth, shall have everlasting life. Every one that seeth and believeth - The Jews saw, and yet believed not. And I will raise him up - As this is the will of him that sent me, I will perform it effectually.

Discussion for John 6

  • Alex
Christ was the very multiplication of God, an absolute son not a token son. I shall be unto him a father and he shall be unto me a son,I WILL MAKE HIM MY 1ST BORN ETC And it was the FATHER himself that said that everything HAS TO MULTIPLY AFTER ITS KIND THUS THE SON OF GOD WD HAVE TO BE GOD THE SON, IF Christ is not GOD the son then the FATHER lied about multiplication of every living thing/BEING.

Alex; The things you write are not from God but you continue to use your own imagination for guessing the meaning of the Scriptures. I have tried to get through to you before, but you apparently refuse to take sound advice from your elders. Its not a game, and its not some kind of secret code that men can figure out the combination to unlock! He gives understanding and knowledge to the obedient!

They are 3 distinct beings just as abraham issac and jacob were 3 distinct beings Father son and granson BUT they became as the stars of heaven, Abraham means exaulted Father he was a type of God the father that wd be multiplied AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN,GOD USED THIS ABRAHAMIC TRINITY TO INITIATE AND ESTABLISH THE NATION OF ISRAEL Which is a metaphor for the multiplication of very God n humanity .

Lea Tanner; You misread the Scripture, nor understand how precious is our redemption! Jesus is God manifest in the flesh; or no one can be saved! "If you be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land." You have to have a good and honest heart to receive the Word in a way that it will sprout and grow up and bring forth fruit unto God. Questioning and debating will keep you in darkness.
