  • Luís Honório Rodrigues Aquino for verse 39
Well I 'd like to know if in the original greek document this verse is an order or a statement. Is it an order to examin the scriptures or is Jesus commenting about a jew habit of reading the scripture in search of everlastin life?
  • just knowing the scriptures is only a form GOD ,IF NOTHING IS PRACTICE!.
  • Roland Allen for verse 39
I BELIEVE MAN IS ALWAYS SEEKING KNOWLEGE , I BELIEVE THIS IS A WARNING TO US ,MAN HAS FALLEN NOT BECAUSE WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT GOD SAID' BUT LIKE ADAM CHOSE TO DO WRONG. PAUL AND NICODIMUS BOTH SCHOLARS BUT THIER STUDY'S DIDN'T BRING THEM CLOSER ONLY A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH CHRIST.
  • Perhaps they who feel they have obtained eternal life need another glance at the scriptures to recognize the need for Christ, the door!
  • Stan Badenhop for verse 39
You’re continually studying the scriptures, taking great pains to learn all you can about God; because you think mere words are the way to eternal life. But with all the knowledge you’ve gained, you still don’t understand that these same scriptures point to Jesus as the only way of salvation.
  • James Alexander for verse 39
I think it give you more incentive,to study and
    devote more time comparing scripture.
