People's Bible Notes for John 3:2

Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night. He probably chose the night in order to escape observation. He did not dare encounter the hostility of the priests, filled with rage over the cleansing of the temple, and yet he wished to know more of one whom he believed to be sent from God. Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God. Nicodemus confesses, not only his belief, but that of his fellow Pharisees and rulers. The miracles of Jesus convinced them, even if they would not admit it, that he was a teacher sent from God. He came for information, and Jesus recognized it in what follows.

The devils believe and tremble I believed in God and feared him when I was lost the difference is no heart felt conviction. No REPENTANCE THE MOST HATED MISUNDERSTOOD WORD IN THE WHOLE KJV

Sue; When God commands all men everywhere to repent and believe the Glad Tidings of our salvation through His Son Jesus Christ; the expectation in the command is to acknowledge the truth unto conversion and reconciliation. Jesus said, "Now are you CLEAN through the word that I have spoken unto you." If you have repented and are sincere, you are washed and clean and given a new life freed from sin!

A person can b corrupt an sin but believe the word with all their heart. Are they still born of the spirit? As no one but Jesus was without sin
  • A disciple
Alex; While we're using the simile of planting seed, in the parable of the sower the different kinds of hearts were the responsibility of the men who had them; for this is the teaching. A heart trampled down hard by sin and the world, an unprepared heart, a wrongly planted seed among the cares and pleasures of this world, and an honest and good heart: all these have their effect on what we become.

Disciple ty for reading me..27 times in the O.T. the prophets saw the world in travail and birth pains, simply b/c of the bridegroom and his seed which is the WORD,he does not refer to himself as the bridegoom for nothin, he has a seed to sow in humanity, which is the world,he says the field is the world where that good seed will be sown n our hearts , THATS Y HE HAS TO KNOW US
  • A disciple
Alex; What does it mean that Christ shall be born in you? There is no place where the LORD or the Prophets ever use words like, "Impregnate the world." The Lord Jesus Christ came not to "spiritually" breed with the world, but to call His Elect OUT OF THE WORLD! Being "Born from above" is as when the Spirit and the power of God overshadowed the Lord's mother, when we receive the Word in our heart.
