Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit. The best comment on this is the Savior's injunction, "Let your light shine before men, that they, seeing your good works, shall glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Mt 5:16).

Our creator who is the vine supplies us with all necessary nourishment, nourishments to stay strong, firm and alive. I get grafted to Him and am well and well nourished physically, spiritually and all ramifications.

No, the Lord Jesus was not referring to the fruits but the fruit bearers

    V. 13 - " ... that a man (woman) lay down his life for his friends". To 'lay down' our life is to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the gift (Free) of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38. This is the only way our life for ourselves can be seen to be dead to our friends. Because the H. G. will effect a VISIBLE change they can see of new life.
