"If ye love me, keep my commandments." If you always tell your wife, Oh, I love you, I love you; but won't go to work or help with the chores; how is that love? Aren't you supposed to be under promise before God to love one another and be one? Why do you not keep the Lord's commandments? Laziness? Indifference? Other loves more important? Fear of the ridicule and looks of men? No heart agreement?

John 14:20 "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." I once heard it explained how we cannot understand God's thoughts and His ways, any more than a sparrow can understand our breakfast. I don't know quite what a sparrow knows or doesn't know but I think the part about us is pretty true. At best and there have been some extremely brilliant and wise men among the LORD's Princes till we get there we will only ever be able to see or know in part, and at best, with a good deal of obscurity, just because of our humiliated condition and nature. So the things that the LORD has said to us, that we know right away as soon as we read or hear them, are too high for our little "bird brains " one day, IF we make it safe and sound and endure true and faithful to the end we will know even as we ourselves are also known and we will see face to face, all that we for the now hope for in faith.
