Wesley's Notes for John 14:23

14:23 Jesus answered - Because ye love and obey me, and they do not, therefore I will reveal myself to you, and not to them. My Father will love him - The more any man loves and obeys, the more God will love him. And we will come to him, and make our abode with him - Which implies such a large manifestation of the Divine presence and love, that the former in justification is as nothing in comparison of it.

I give my troubles and worries to my Lord and Savior, and get such great comfort from this verse. Thank you God, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

This is one of my favorite scriptures. It is comforting and encouraging to know that no matter what I am going through or what a situation looks like, God does not want me to be troubled with it. It's good to know that I serve a heavenly Father that always has my back, even when it is against the wall. Thank you Lord for being the owesomeness God that you are,

Verse 6: Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Jesus paved the way for us so that we can draw close to Jehovah God and have a relationship with him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Why did Jesus want us to follow the Apostle Paul doctrines. Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample

John 14:20 "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." I once heard it explained how we cannot understand God's thoughts and His ways, any more than a sparrow can understand our breakfast. I don't know quite what a sparrow knows or doesn't know but I think the part about us is pretty true. At best and there have been some extremely brilliant and wise men among the LORD's Princes till we get there we will only ever be able to see or know in part, and at best, with a good deal of obscurity, just because of our humiliated condition and nature. So the things that the LORD has said to us, that we know right away as soon as we read or hear them, are too high for our little "bird brains " one day, IF we make it safe and sound and endure true and faithful to the end we will know even as we ourselves are also known and we will see face to face, all that we for the now hope for in faith.
