    My little children, take heed as you finish your time in the flesh of corruption. Do the wicked not yet see that I numbered myself with the transgressors? For even the lion with his number gets carried away in his own imagination. For the proud beast reveals himself with both his mouth and his hands.

    23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness Sadly it appears many miss the point here. Job blames God for punishing him without cause, without trail and without mercy. The hope of the messenger is to prove to man gods righteousness not prove to God Jobs righteousness. One cannot be saved unless they trust that gods righteousness is greater than mans Vs 12 Lastly everything in the book of Job must be weighed against the prose and the epiphany of the book. Will Job curse God to his face? This question is put to Job in chapter 40 7 8 to which his answer will determine his fate as it will ours.

    Job 33, verses 23 28 reads, BUT IF A SPECIAL MESSENGER FROM HEAVEN IS THERE TO INTERCEDE FOR A PERSON, TO DECLARE THAT HE IS UPRIGHT, GOD WILL BE GRACIOUS AND SAY, 'SET HIM FREE. NOT MAKE HIM DIE, FOR I HAVE FOUND A RANSOM FOR HIS LIFE. ' THEN HIS BODY WILL BECOME AS HEALTHY AS A CHILD 'S, FIRM AND YOUTHFUL AGAIN. WHEN HE PRAYS TO GOD, HE WILL BE ACCEPTED. AND GOD WILL RECEIVE HIM WITH JOY AND RESTORE HIM TO GOOD STANDING. HE WILL DECLARE TO HIS FRIENDS, 'I SINNED, BUT IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. GOD RESCUED ME FROM THE GRAVE, AND NOW MY LIFE IF FILLED WITH LIGHT. ' This proves that Job knew God as Christ, and preached about his redeeming work, even in his day. The special messenger Job speaks of is Christ, himself. Christ came down from heaven to declare to us his willingness to set us free by giving his life as a ransom for our sins. Because of this, we can be set free from the death sin brings, and given eternal life. With eternal life, the grave cannot hold us captive, we will be raised and taken to heaven. What a wonderful revelation!

    Not every dream is from God. But sometimes God speaks to us through dreams, we just need to be more sensitive to His leading.

    I look this scripture up and feel the same. However a accident happened and was healed. Know I ask God why I feel this way. I've been good to others and have praise God for his blessing even trouble times seek him. What have I not done. Even given Tithes.

    @John Fungo,
    Not all dreams are from God, sometimes our minds have a lot of influence because of the multitude of things we think about. Please read Proverbs.

    The best advice Job ever got - actually Elihu is more than one of his friends - Since the Bible remained silent on his true identity - so will I.
  • John Fungo on Job 33:15 - 13 years ago
    Job 33:15 Shows us that God speaks to his people and the simplest way to talk is through dreams, for every human being who has been created in God's image have dreams. There is no way we can meet God except through the dreams, and dreams are a prophetic language of God. So whatever the dream one gets, be it bad or good comes from God, why? see verse no 16-17
