Wesley's Notes for Job 38:7

38:7 Stars - The angels, who may well be called morning - stars, because of their excellent lustre and glory. Sons of God - The angels called the sons of God, because they had their whole being from him, and because they were made partakers of his Divine and glorious image. Shouted - Rejoiced in and blessed God for his works, whereby he intimates, that they neither did advise or any way assist him, nor dislike or censure any of his works, as Job had presumed to do.

Discussion for Job 38:7

  • This was before man was created, the sons of God refers to the Elohim who are called the Principals, The Inheritance of God in heaven like Archangels MichaEL, GabriEL, RaphaEL. And to His inheritance on earth is the name Israel, For Israel means Inheritance, or called the Israel of God or Spiritual Israel, for the covenant that commenced in the Physical is come a Spiritual unto His inheritance, according to the Prophecy where being a Jew or Gentile for eg., is not a criteria. As to the Mystery of the morning stars, to them unto whom it is revealed know it, which comes through the Prophecy of Jesus "You know not the Father, neither the Son but them unto whom the Son pleases to reveal ".
  • BroWayne for verse 7
Christ is The morning star and was present at creation and all the fulness of the god head dwelt in him bodily. The Bible says that Jesus is the creator so I believe this is the trinity! Remember Let US make man in our image.
  • Calvin mazvazva for verse 7
I think morning stars are angels because at that time nothing wrong was found.
  • TRUESEEKER for verse 7
REFER TO JAMES 1 17 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. God is the father of the heavenly bodies, the stars, sun and moon. Therefore, this verse is showing how the heavenly bodies, celestial praise God, by shining which in turn is singing and shouting for joy. Just as the flowers bloom, and bird sing praises to our heavenly Father. The angels are not considered sons of God refer to Hebrews 1 5
  • Peter Morgan for verse 7
I believe that we [the sons of God] were there
  • Actually the angels did assist Him in creation.
