Discussion for Jeremiah 3:16

  • Daniel 1:2 "The Lord gave him (Nebuchadnezzar) victory over King Jehoiakim of Judah and permitted him to take some of the sacred objects from the Temple of God. He took them back to the land of Babylonia and placed them in the treasure-house of his god." After 70 years , the Jews were set free in 539 BC, the Jews brought back some of the temple items, but the ark was not with them. Though it was an important artifact, the Jews were able to build their new temple without it. So, because Nebuchadnezzar ransacked the temple with fire, itís likely that the ark burned up in the fire, and the gold of it was chipped out of the rocks. (Just like the Romans did with the temple in AD 70) If they could not find it in 539 BC, they surely will not be able to find it today. Because it's gone.
