People's Bible Notes for James 4:17

Jas 4:17 To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin. The connection of thought is probably as follows: "I have warned you that such boasting is wrong, and that the right way is to speak submissively. If you know how to do the right and yet do it not, the sin is the greater on account of your knowledge". See Jas 4:15.

Discussion for James 4:17

  • Roderick for verse 17
I know that the word of God Never fails me at anytime I think we should all take heed to the word of God because like the scripture we will all be held accountable before God
  • Thats why the gospel is to b preached to the 4 ends of the World ,no one to escape Judgement at the end.All will b held accountable of our own deeds.
  • Do assume and fail to do the right thing when you are also aware
  • Knowledge brings accountability. Even though one may not be baptized or have a personal relationship with God, if that person knows what is right and doesn't do it he or she is still held accountable before God.
