This chapter shows how the King of Assyria was to overtake the land before Isaiah's son was beyond toddler stage and take their wealth (verse 4). This could very well allude to the final "Assyrian" mentioned in Isaiah 10; and other passages that describe one of the names for Antichrist. As in other chapters in the book of Isaiah; judgment is clearly given due to people's lack of fear in God alone (verse 13). Verse 14 singles out both houses of Israel (likely the northern and southern Kingdoms) who reject the Rock of Christ for protection hence He becomes their enemy. The confederacy in verse 9 through 12 may very well also allude to the Tribulation where trust in the Antichrist and the confederacy of nations in the Daniel 9:27 treaty will become a trap for those trusting in this peace plan to protect them from attack. Their destruction after attacking Israel is clear in verse 9.d God's hidden status toward Israel in verse 17; and the children God has given "me" in verse 18 has been explained as a veiled reference to those raptured who were "given to Christ" as those the Father chose to be redeemed. The rest of the passage in verses 19 to 22 once again demonstrates the view of those "earth dwellers" ( Rev. 11:10; 13:8; etc). The unregenerated unprotected from the seal judgments and those to follow will curse both "their king and their God" (verse 21); much like what occurs in descriptions of the bowl judgments in Revelation.

They are as the last verse in this chapter indicates "driven to darkness". Our only hope is Christ; and we must be saved from our fallen state in THIS lifetime; once our soul separates from our body it is too late to change.

I believe the Lord is calling you to intercessory prayer. Your burden is very palpable. Rick Renner ministries online are a large group of intercessors. You might look at his website.

Since all this church persecution started, I've often thought we should have church services in church grounds or public parks. Belting out, "What A Mighty God We Serve!" Our God is an Awesome God (2 of my favs)

Kinda like a soccer game where everyone brings their own fold out chair and a water. Why can't we take it outside?

In the 80's, the street ministers and some churches showed the old rapture movies on the Courthouse lawn or someone's private lot with electricity to run the movies. We all sat on quilts. It was loads of fun and togetherness. Lots of strangers came and sat down to watch it too. There was plenty of people around to ask people if they wanted to receive Christ as their Savior?

How hard is it to rig a microphone and let people tell 5 minutes of their testimony?

The 1 time in history when we really should impeach a few people and we're paralyzed with fear? I don't understand it. If it's because of stimulus checks ? It ought not be. That's your childs future being bankrupted.

There's no such thing as free flowing money in this life. Anyone notice the drought? Cost of food is going through the roof.

It seems to me that America aborted their future tax payers. The book of Leviticus 26 warns that the children will eat their parents. They are eating you. Free room and board, open fridge, no survival skills; just consuming skills.

Try to think this through. You have to lead these kids. God knows our country's leaders aren't going to do it. They got us all immobilized and scared.

Somehow we have to find strength to follow the one person who had all the answers: JESUS.

This is exactly the case with the churches in America today. God is hiding his face from them. They have no salt within themselves as is abundantly proven by their cowardly response to the states covid 19 restrictions forbidding them to meet but in very small numbers, and requiring they sit all muffled up and 5, 6, 7, or 8 feet apart at that. The word of the Lord is "forsake not the assembling of your selves together as the manner of some is." But what have we done? We have decided to obey man rather than God. So what has God done? He has done exactly what he said he would. We have forsaken him. So he has forsaken us, and is hiding his face from us.

There is a false video coming to some people's Messenger accounts. It claims that the Bible has been supernaturally changed. It has not. The video was apparently done by people who are not familiar with the Bible, seeking to weaken the faith of those who are not familiar with the Bible. One of the words that this video questioned was the appearance of the name Maher-shalal-hash-baz in the King James Version of the Bible. That is quite true. However, on this page we see who is doing the changing. For some unknown reason the hyphens have been removed from the name! The hyphens do no harm. They should never have been removed. I would find and fire the person who made that change!

Seek Jesus Christ and in doing so the Lord offers the PARDON FROM OUR SINS! This is the life saving way of Almighty Divine Creator. The gifts of mercy and grace are the greatest in all the world. The Father's love for us is so incredibly beautiful. O for the day when Corruption but's on Incorruption and Mortality will but on Inmortality. In the twinkling of an eye sin will never be thought of again and we will be holy as He is Holy. The Light of the Father's Glory is All in All that matters. The Lamb of God will be the object of our Worship into Eternity. Nothing else should matter in this earthbound life knowing that our future is the Great hope of the fallen sinner, in need of a Savior.

Jesus became the Son of Man when the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and conception began. He was Joseph's son as a baby to the community but when he began his ministry, He said he was the son of man.

The lord is not impotent he has a seed to sow in humanity. His children are spirits th H.G.PLURAL thats y he refers to the H.G. AS THE PROMISE. Thats y he is saying whosoever receives one such Child in my name receives me,in his name implies he is the father of the child th H.G.Thats y iSAIAH is saying behold me and the children the lord has given me are they not for signs and wonders. Rev 12 the woman John said he saw a sign in heaven, child birth the woman etc Thats y he has to know us that when that incorruptible seed is sown in our hearts initiating a birth of Christ in us. There is a baby Christ in our future thats y he refers to himself as the son of man.Behold me and my children gbu.

Spiritism comes in many forms. Jehovah warns us that this is not harmless fun, but contact with demons. He urges not to turn to fortune tellers, palm readers, or tarot cards. Though we ourselves may not perform these acts we do not want to associate ourselves with those who do. This includes our music and entertainment. This may be a struggle, but if we fight it we can be blessed.

Verse 13 shows that it is Jehovah God that we should fear. We may have a measure of fear of men, but God is all powerful and we should have more fear of Him and displeasing Him than any man.

This chapter 8v17 to 20 is to let the whole world and especially Christians know that God is in control of all situations and anyone who seeks, believes and calls on Him shall be a winner all the time. "Shall people not seek their God?" I pray for our brethren in Arab nations, may our God strengthen them in this time of tribulation in Jesus name Amen.

Verses 9 10 of this chapter has clearly made us the children of to know that no matter how many or powerful our enemies can be, as long as GOD is with us they can do but nothing. These are verses that should boost our moral.

When I had a dialog with an Islamic mullah for a long time, he was trying to prove that their book was the final word from God, my argument was your book is from your god, but our God Jehovah has nothing to do with your book. Later when I was going through the Bible, Holy Spirit pointed the word in Isaiah 8 16 to me, and when I had discussions later I pointed out to the Islamic mullah the Isaiah 8 16 I clearly told him the last disciple of John fulfilled the prophesy in Isaiah 8 16 at the book of Revelation 22 18 19 and clearly convince him that no more written prophecy from God after Revelation 22 18 19 so there for I persuaded to him that their book is not from God, it is only from an another god.

Verses 13 14 "Don 't fear anything except the Lord of the armies of heaven! If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. He will be your safety, but Israel and Judah have refused his care and thereby stumbled against the Rock of their salvation and lie fallen and crushed beneath it. " Paul in 1 Corinthians 10 4 identified the Lord, the Rock of their salvation, with Jesus "For they all drank from the miraculous Rock that traveled with them, and that Rock was Christ. " Was Paul wrong? I don 't thinks so. He was simply stating the amazing truth that was revealed to him the God of the Old Testament was Jesus. When we understand this truth, it opens up the Gospel to us as we never before understood it. It explains to us why Paul erndorsed the name Christians for us. And it also explains to us why Jesus came to us as a Jew, the son of Abraham and David. He is the same God they worshiped and loved, and the same God they put their faith in. Jesus caused people to stumble and fall because they don 't know who he is. What I am saying is, if they knew him as their God, and the Rock of their salvation, they wouldn 't wouldn 't be so easliy led astray from him as the Jews of old were. Yes, God has two other personalities, the Father and the Holy Spirit, but they are not the way God saves us. You must address God as Jesus to be saved. As it says in Romans 10 "13 "For 'Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " Let 's pray to Jesus!

Every word that procedes from the almighty God is a command and is a law which regulates our christian way of living holy life This is summarised in the Ten Commandments see luke 16 17 Mathew 5 17 19 and james 2 9 12 And the testmony is the mystery of jesus christ displayed on the cross when He declared all humanity saved by His death see Romans 5 12 and Romans 5 15

(Verses 13-14) "Do not fear anything except the Lord Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that cause people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall."

Notice that this is speaking of the Lord Almighty. But Peter in 1 Peter 2:8 applied this to Jesus when he said, "An the Scriptures also say, "He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that will make them fall."

This means that Jesus is the God of the Old Testament, as well as the God of the New Testament. I know this is hard for many people to understand because of our religious tradition. But it is true. This is all cleared up when we understand that God has more than one self identity. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the way God directs his affairs. The Holy spirit is the way God inspires us to bdlieve. But the Son Jesus is the way God speaks to us.

Please consider this when you do your Bible study!

The word of God is great and true in all ways. My fave' verses are Proverbs 3:5,6. We have proved them to be true time and time again. We recently moved to another State in Australia and put our trust in Him to find us a house we could afford. Sure, it took Him four days but He came up with a house we could pay for and completely gut and rebuild both the kitchen and bathroom.
Our God is great and in control of all things. Never forget it!!
