It could be the script of an archetype. The rational person is bound by his rational dictates so will not react to the absurdities of masses. Jesus was loved by his disciples and others. It was only the religious and ruling authorities who misrepresented his sayings for his growing influence over the masses.

What an amazing example of God knowing the beginning from the end. Precious Jesus is the ultimate example of a selfless servant while being the King of Glory as well. When he comes in power again, no one will hang him on a cross. Get ready!

Many people of Luke's day set out to write about the things they had seen and heard of Jesus Christ. Luke had perfect understanding in all things from beginning to end, and decided to write the best and most reliable record of who Jesus Christ was and why he came. He gives details of how John was born through natural conception and Jesus through Miraculous conception - God come in the flesh!

My dear no man have seen God nor herd his voice. Please let the word be true . Jesus asked , who do men say that I the son of man am. Peter said you are the Son Of God. search your bible it will tell you the reason for the virgin birth. For there is one mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus . Luke wrote in the book of acts, that Paul went straight way preaching that Jesus was the son

so many prophecies fulfilled from Gen to Malachi in the O.T. This chapter brings it all together when your spiritual eyes have been opened. He died in our place and paid the sin debt for us. So greatful, thank you Jesus for saving me.

Have you ever walked on the beach and felt GOD walking next to you? Did you wonder if He ever carried you thru your hardships and trials? Have you prayed for Him to come closer- did you feel His arm around you? Did you feel the calmness surround you, as your feet touched the sand as you walked along. Silence is golden- don't you see- how you can hear Him as He walks slowly: ALWAYS KEEP GOD CLOSE!

I've been trying to understand John 3:16. Most people tell me it simply means God saved the entire, physical world. If that's the case, there wouldn't be a sacrifice to be made ("Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" - Rev. 13:8).

The last part of Isaiah 53:12 tells me not everyone will be saved: "and he bare the sin of many". The thought of Christ dying for everyone violates this verse.

As a believer in the LORD JESUS CHRIST as MY REDEEMER, for 60 years now, and His mercies are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness
    Lord unto me.
Isaiah 53 since the Lord saved me has been memorized little by little, and for me it is the foundational Scripture to which I resort every day,my advice to every believer, hide Isaiah 53 in your heart, live it daily, you will not sin against GOD!
  • JANICE PARKER-BRITT
Isaiah 53 is a powerful emotional record of what my Lord Jesus endured and went through to purchase My Salvation! Reading it brings me closer to Jesus and my love for Him and Father God increases even the more.

it bring tear to my eyes

the scripture testifies of the crucifixion of the Messiah ,the prophet was declaring what he foresaw in the spirit realm concerning the removal of sin of the world through and by Christ Jesus .

I am guilty of the sufferings that was meted out to our Lord on that Awful Day. He did it for the Sins of the World. It does not matter if you believe it or not, He did it for you, because He Loves you. He made us; then He had to Buy us back from the pit-of-hell. What a price He had to pay. His ultimate, His Life. Why is it so hard to receive His Free Gift of ETERNAL LIFE? What is your excuse?

the chapter above, SALVATION was through the shed BLOOD OF A LAMB; when we fast forward to the days of Jesus, nothing changed as it relates to SALVATION; it is through the shed BLOOD OF THE LAMB; St, John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This is the most profound healing scripture my soul has found rest on, because of the word 'surely' in verse 4. I believe that all grieves and sorrows have been carried away. I found streght in the finished work of Jesus. I am undergoing cancer treatment at the moment and the results have been amazing. I know He has carrief them away. Halleluyah!!
  • Marie Chapman
The reason, I believe, Isaiah 53 was written in future, present, and past tenses is because it was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and He is omniscience (all knowing)
  • Dianne Johnson
It is a scripture which I live by, and continue to exist. I quote it, have posted it, and reread it often. I am thankful to GOD for healing me many times!!!!

I was a guilty sinner but Jesus died for me, he alone is my Saviour, all praise be onto Him
  • Kurt Chappell
A phenomenal, supernatural connection thru time and space, delineating why God sends a person to save mankind! God's easiest, our difficulty; shows a chasm of sin bridged for salvation. So clear the power of God yet the world refuses, wanting substitutes of religion and false gods. We can experience Jesus' tears for Israel not believing, as this world does the same, and worse. Holy Spirit come.

Jehovah God is our Shepherd and if we fail to obey his commands and follow his guidance we are like the sheep going astray mentioned in this verse.

Verse 2: For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant written in (future tense)
verse 3: He is despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows, (Present Tense)
Verse 4: Surely he has borne our grief's and carried our sorrows (past tense)
how could it be written before the event took place.? and the same event is written in all three tenses, past , present, and future.?
  • Barbara Williamson
having received the BLESSING that JESUS has paid for ALL MY SINS I no longer belong to me I am bought with a price the precious blood of Jesus I no longer belong to me but the Christ Jesus and his will and direction is what I do and follow for I am bought with a price
  • BSP
As sinners we are the ones deserving of death, but Jesus Christ came to earth and took our pain and the mistreatment that we deserve. We should be eternally grateful for what Christ has done for us.
  • Jason phelps
Ray Jay, I just want to add Jacob(Israel)had 11 other sons (tribes)Judah was only one the others went north over the Caucasus mountains to settle in rest of the world so Israel is scattered everywhere these can be traced through genealogies...
  • Stephen B.
How great is the love of Christ, to endure death, even the death of the cross, for such a worm as I.
  • BSP
This is a Messianic prophecy that points forward to the things that Jesus would endure for us. We should greatly appreciate the willing sacrifice that Jesus Christ made in our behalf.
  • Ray Jay
They will argue that Isaiah 53 is discussing the nation of Israel as the suffering servant and not an individual. They will quote other scriptures showing that. However, Isaiah, clearly is speaking of an individual. An entire nation doesn’t have one soul; HE bare THEIR iniquity; no deceit was on HIS mouth - How can an entire nation of Jews have NO deceit? This and more is an individual. JESUS!
