Today's circumstances are no different than that of Israel's rebellion and iniquities in their time. Solomon declares that there is nothing new under the sun. The same sin abounds today as of yesteryears and all are in need of the Lord Jesus Christ, even now, even today...America, you need repentance of heart, tear down your idols, wash you....make you clean...learn to do well and seek the LORD. Blessings unto those who can hear the Word of the Lord.

11 above. In this situation we are hard-headed and with our own hands, collectively or personally, prepared our own light and this light we prepared did not meet the approval of GOD, so GOD knowing we are hard-headed, HE patently watch and wait until our man-made light suddenly become darkness plus a burden that force us to bear in sorrow. After laying in sorrow the wise one of us sooner or later remember GOD our Creator, Provider, Deliver, and Saver from the LAKE Of FIRE, is waiting for us to trust HIS LIGHT. John 3:16-21

Isaiah 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. All these things did they to Jesus before they killed him on the cross.

Doesn't matter how anointed you are if the Word of God the Word of Faith is Christ Jesus doesn't abide in you if you dont know the fundamental of faith we have to excersie our faith by been a doer of the Word of GOD not just a hearer only. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

"...their fish stinketh because there is no water, and dieth of thirst." v. 2

When we have no the Word of God in our heart, we become stinking. The word cleanses our life to remove every filthiness. "Sanctify them through thy word". When the Holy Spirit abandon us, we die of thirst for the promise of God is to make our belly rivers of living water which signify the Holy Spirit.

    Help me O Lord!

that time above and 2018; individually or nationally, by their own power /doing, they did it to themselves'; and when Almighty Mercy / their Deliverer offered the help theses sinners needed, as they /we are drowning in their own sin; the Deliverer (whom love these sinners so dearly) cry-out to them "... let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God". Thank GOD for HIS MERCY! WOW!
  • John 4/14/2017 on Isaiah 50 - 7 years ago
GOD promised to fight for us but we must be WILLING to be OBEDIENT to is word, We often time CHOOSE to sin WHICH CAUSES.our own problem. By trying to help OURSELVES we step out of the will of GOD. But if we trust GOD then wait on the LORD,and Be of good courage, he shall strengthen thine heart. Wait I say on the LORD

An answer to David's question, v3.
God clothes the heavens with blackness which means darkness and he use a sackcloth which is a veil for a covering. God allows darkness in our lives so we can see the light. Weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning.
  • Lu2677 on Isaiah 50 - 8 years ago
    V. 10 Who claims to be a follower of Christ, yet, walks in darkness and has no light in him. Hypocrites do not trust in the Lord, they walk in darkness. Hypocrites think they are with God, but they are deceived.
The man that is saved by grace will put his trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-7.

It is a beautiful chapter that reveals that GOD hates a rebellious, proud, and a contrite heart. He loves a humble obedient heart.

This is not YHWH speaking, but Yeshua. Look, "I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair I hid not my face from shame and spitting. For the Lord GOD will help me therefore shall I not be confounded therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. "
  • William on Isaiah 50 - 10 years ago
There is a Wisdom that comes from God alone and an Understanding that is far above our own. in vs 10 and 11 we are warned of the danger of walking in our own understanding, and in Jerimiah 2: 13 this warning is restated, that if we are wise in our own eyes, we will be satisfied in walking in our own light and trying to drink from our own cisterns that just won't hold water instead of drinking from that fountain of Living Water , which Jesus Christ alone can provide. His ways are far above our ways, and our ways end in darkness and thirst, even to sorrow and death. Corruption is not an event, it is a slow process, and self evaluation and vigilance are essential elements of Descipleship.
  • Winfred on Isaiah 50 - 10 years ago
We to must hear what the Father is saying to us we must hear with our inner ear, When hearing equals doing we must not turn back from our obedience cause what the Father spoke may be hard we must trust him to go through with his will. We know his ways bring life, we hear and are filled those that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled, then and only then can we feed the dying souls, the broken hearted with a word from God that sustains man's true life.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Isaiah 50:9 - 11 years ago
Who shall lay any charge to God's elect? It is Christ who died, and is risen. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Jehovah shall help me, and all those that accuse me, they shall wax old as a garment, and be eaten by the moth. Touch not God's servants, do His prophets no harm. Jesus took our stripes on the Cross, and He was bruised for our sins, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. All of our shame is taken away. Praise God for what He has concealed in the darkness, He will reveal in the Light. It is good that after we have done the will of God, we wait to receive His promises. God is good unto those, who both quietly hope and wait upon Him. Don't light a fire, to help God, for you will sow sorrow. Only wait thou upon God, and He will strengthen you in the night season.
