ISAIAH 48:1 hear you this o house of Jacob which are called by the name of Israel and are come forth out of the waters of Judah which swear by the name of THE LORD and make mention of the GOD of Israel but not in truth nor in righteousness

Verse 22-there is no true peace from Jehovah God for the wicked.

JOHN 2 months ago you asked what is GOD's name? I think I have found what GOD calls HIMSELF . Read Exodus 3:14 kjb JESUS even called HIMSELF by the same name, when HE said I AM the bread of life. I PRAY this helps my Brother! I'm looking forward to knowing you better when WE get HOME !! ~~~~<*))))><

2nd born are gods ??? ISAIAH 48:11 for MINE own sake even for MINE own sake will I do it for how should MY name be polluted --- AND I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY UNTO ANOTHER --- 1 CORINTHIANS 15:28 AND WHEN ALL THINGS SHALL BE SUBDUED UNTO HIM THEN SHALL THE SON ALSO HIMSELF BE SUBJECT UNTO HIM THAT PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIM THAT --- GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL

The Lord's Name is really Jesus! Yeshua, Saviour, Yehovah will save. Christ is the Anglicized pronunciation of the Greek Xristos, or, Christos; meaning Anointed, Moshiach. Every Book of the Bible has a certain aspect of Christ depicted; and the thing aimed at, the full acomplishment of the Law and the Prophets, and the Psalms and Holy Writings, IS JESUS CHRIST COME IN THE FLESH, SAVIOUR AND KING!
  • John
I have a question for this comment. What is the name of the Lord? Is it Just the name Jesus? Or does the Bible describe in detail what His Name really is? God bless.

Steve Morrow; Great Scriptures! But do you know who the LORD was referring to? He was speaking to the disobedient and the defiantly hateful and hostile ones; NOT to His beloved Elect who seek to please Him with every thought word and deed, and to walk in truth and holiness before Him IN JESUS' NAME! Seeking to be holy and obedient, and preaching to others to do the same, is not of the devil!

ISAIAH 48:11 for MINE own sake even for MINE own sake will I do it for how should MY name be polluted --- AND I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY UNTO ANOTHER --- ROMANS 10:3 for they being ignorant of GODS righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of GOD

Phil. 4:7- And the peace of God shall keep your hearts and minds thru Christ Jesus!

Dont give up God is mercifull
  • John
God talks to everyone with a small voice and all you have to do is listen to what he has to say. the thing is do you listen?
  • Lucinda Palestrant
Romans 10:18 "But I say; Have they not heard? Yes, verily their sound went Into all the earth and their words unto the ends of the world." The "sound" "their words" is telling the gospel of Christ. Some false teachers say everyone has not heard the gospel. God says everyone has heard it.
  • Lucinda Palestrant
Read Isaiah 48:1-19very carefully;can you see that God is telling us;every person"from the beginning" has had the knowledge of the gospel given to him. This knowledge does not have to come from a preacher, or even a book.(a believer is commanded to spread the good news, and read, i do not speak against this.)He has testified of everything he has spoken, since the beginning. We rebelled, did not hear

These chapter has always been a source of inspiration to me.Especially verse 11.
  • Just recently the New Horizon spaceship took a 9 year, 3 billion mile journey to the planet Pluto, traveling at 34,000mph. That entire journey took place somewhere in GOD! Putting that journey in the frame or man's understanding, can you even begin to imagine the eternity of the existance of Our God? No! God is immense, vast, immeasurable, bondless, measureless, infinite, unbounded, illimitable. In 1Kings 8:27, it is written that the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him. There are about 200billion stars in just the Milky Way galaxy, the sun being just one star. There is an estimate of more than 100billion galaxies in the universe. So I guess that Our God should be able to handle our earthly situations which seem to us to be so monstrous. Those of us who do, must stop trying to put God in a box. He who created the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and stretched out the heavens at his discretion, is more that qualified and able to handle anything Satan throws at us. After all," All things were made by him and without him was not any thing made that was made".

Our God is a forgiving God, John 3:16 For God so love the World that He gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ that whoever believes in him will not be perish but have everlasting life. God loves us so much and thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us, his blood is a symbol for his mercy and love to us. We are now saved and pardoned by God 's grace. We must accept God into our life and obey his commandments until rapture. Jesus loves us so much and he is faithful to his promises. We must follow and live like Jesus we shall walk with faith and not by sight. Life without God we cant do anything

God wants us to keep focus on his words and don,t let anyone or any thing hinder us in our walk with him ,god is our rock we stand firm by his words. He will see that it comes to pass what he says will come to pass, god will send the right people in the right time not our time but in god,s time.He my rock and salvation Delina.
  • Nancy Hanberry for verse 20
I think that Godisreally speaking to his people about how He will lead them. We don 't have to worry about how or what to do. God is saying to us to have faith that he has already redeemed us, He is handling it.
  • Anita rweyemamu for verse 11
Everything god doing its his own good, that 's why his a forgiver means as a child of God to forgive is a must otherwise it will be my own LOSS

Pst Abel Omozokpia 's in praying for you in the still of the morning that God never leave your side and brings you peace! Trust Him, He shall bring it to pass. Cast all your burdens upon Him and He shall sustain you!

This is the Son speaking here, not God. "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called I am he I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens when I call unto them, they stand up together. All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans. I, even I, have spoken yea, I have called him I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous. Come ye near unto me, hear ye this I have not spoken in secret from the beginning from the time that it was, there am I and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me. Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
  • ABBY
The Lord is a God of mercy'' and He always tempers justice with mercy. He is our rock and salvation.
  • Pst Abel Omozokpia for verse 21
    I need ur prayers pls
  • Andrew for verse 22
Any thoughts here why a sudden twist of thought from previous verses above it?
  • Andrew for verse 18
Nice image here. Peace as a river (without waves), and righteousness as the waves of the sea, not calm and dead as a river with no waves.
  • Andrew for verse 4
    Stiff-necked in short.
  • Simon P. Sanchez Sr. for verse 10
Paula, we have been throgh so muck & if I am you Gold, you are My Precious Pearl...
  • Katie
The Lord is our God, realize it or not he is also the almighty. You canít get to him unless you go through his son. He is the first, the last, the beginning and the end. Wakeup and acknowledge that He is real!
