I think maybe read your bible again. It says in Exodus 6 3 it says JE HO VAH was I not known to them. this is the king james 1611 version bible. Which means if you pronounce the name properly, it will sound YEHOVAH,YEHUWAY. So, take another look again.
  • G. Taylor on Isaiah 45:7 - 10 years ago
I have been telling people for years that Yahuwah is the blessing AND the curse. Remember Yahushua told satan that he would serve Him and only Him shall you serve. Elohim is one "guy " you do not want to mess with. I 'll give more scripture later. G. Taylor

  • Glen on Isaiah 45 - 10 years ago
Verses 5-6 are the essence of this chapter. They set the absolute statement of Truth. The chapter can be problematical if we read verse 7 (and on) just like verses 5-6 because the absolute truth of 5-6 cannot be expressed in worldly or relative terms. For example, did God create darkness? This is absurd because darkness is actually nothing but the absence of light. The things which appear in the world that God did not create are the errors we create in our own thoughts. As we understand the simple point that God is All and God is Good the relative or worldly errors simply disappear.
  • Albert boamah Okyere on Isaiah 45 - 10 years ago
    God is awsome
  • Brianna Wilson on Isaiah 45:5 - 10 years ago
I always looked to this scripture when thinking about the Trinity. God was mono-.. one in all respects! He said there is no on except me. I also think about how people worshiped Jehovah back in bible times. They never recognized 3 beings in one. It was simply one Jehovah to them.
  • Brianna Wilson on Isaiah 45:18 - 10 years ago
I love how your website gives different translations! Thank you!!! They help give clear understanding!

This scripture really shows how God created the earth to Be man's home! He formed it to be inhabited. Had Adam and Eve not have sinned then certainly they and their children would still be living on earth. Eternal life on a paradise earth, which means no death, which means no heavenly after life.
  • Samuel on Isaiah 45:5 - 10 years ago
    i want bible
  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 45 - 10 years ago
In this verse God says, "Look unto me, and be ye saved." It is translated in another translation, "Let all the world look to me for salvation." But isn't Jesus the one who saves us? This means that Jesus is the way God saves us.
Then, the Father does not save us, nor does the Holy Spirit.

This makes sense when we realize that these are the personalities or persons of God, with each doing a specific job. Peter said it this way. "For Jesus is referred to in the Scriptures, where it says' 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the conerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to same them.' It makes sense then that if the name of Jesus is the only name to be called on to be saved, then we must direct our prayers to God through the personality of God who bears this name.

Listen to this prayer by the early saints. "O Sovereign Lord, creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. ...( Acts 4:24) Isn't Jesus the one who is the creator of everything there is? John 1:3 says that he is! "He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him...."

    O' that we may understand!
  • Bible Reader on Isaiah 45:18 - 10 years ago
Note how the Basic English Bible translates this scripture: "who made it not to be a waste, but as a living-place for man". This, along with many other scriptures( Psalms 37:29, Ecclesiastes 1:4, Matthew 6:10, Genesis 2:16,17; 3:19), gives clear, indisputable evidence of God's purpose for the earth.
  • MICHAEL on Isaiah 45 - 10 years ago
THE ALMIGHTY IS IN CONTROL! HE WHOM I SERVE IS IN CHARGE SO I DONT SEE ANY REASON BEING AFRAID OF TOMORROW WHEN MY FATHER HAS THE FINAL SAY! HE ALONE IS GOD!!!
  • Dillis Renales-Cruickshank on Isaiah 45:4 - 10 years ago
To be surnamed carries a spirit of not just dignity and honor but to know that we belongs to God and that we are His adopted children(sons and daughters). I think of me being Dillis (Christ),the anointed daughter of Jesus.

  • Mas on Isaiah 45:11 - 11 years ago
    @Baptista,
Some versions end the sentence with a question mark. But the great message of the verse is that God is in control of everything He created, He masters every single aspect and category of life; in the past, present and future.
    God bless you.

  • Wendie on Isaiah 45 - 11 years ago
Isaiah 45:18 is really an interesting read, it clearly states the reason why the earth was created and also reaffirms our faith in what the Bible says about the righteous ones possessing the earth. I guess as long as the earth is still standing, it's purpose of being inhabited will be fulfilled.
  • Femi on Isaiah 45:7 - 11 years ago

Release angelic and spiritual forces over the affairs of your prosperity, command and give them charge to go to work.
  • Paul on Isaiah 45 - 11 years ago
The anointed one being talked about here is the antichrist. God shows this twice saying I have raised him up though he has not known me. The only whole world will bow before this guy and say that God is in him and there is no other god. Our God is hidden away for this last day. He is showing what He is doing here to Israel His elect church which are sons and Jacob his servant. There is only one God and those that continually seek Him will know what He is doing, and will teach the sleeping church when there is much weeping and sorrow because of false teachings by many religions. You better wake up saints and seek God with all your heart. Hosea 4:6 says my people are DESTROYED for lack of knowledge (word of God), because they rejected me, I have rejected them from being priests. He will save you, but draw near to Him, if you want to escape the terrible things coming upon this present evil world. Paul
  • Mas on Isaiah 45 - 11 years ago
    @Chris,
1 John 1:5 says This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. So God is not the author of bad things.
But as people in the Old Testament had very little knowledge Satan, who is the author of evil, they attributed all; and the good, and the bad to God. And that is a Figure of Speech (way of expressing an idea that may be different from its literal meaning). And the Figure of Speech is called Idiom of Permission.
That Idiom is found in places like Matthew 6:13 where it says And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Which would literally mean God may lead us into temptation; which the Bible denies God would do in James 1:13, as it says Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
In fact the devil is responsible for all evil, and Jesus Christ made him known to the public (Church), Colossians 2:15. Satan can no more hide.
    God bless you.
