Norm's comment on 5/15/2016, 6:25am...

Isaiah 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. "The Gospel of God cometh only from God, our Father which art in heaven. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Father, the hour is come glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. The mercy of man is toward his neighbour but the mercy of the Lord is upon all flesh: he reproveth, and nurtureth, and teacheth and bringeth again, as a shepherd his flock. Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."

Tetelestai's comment on 5/15/2016, 5:56am...

All very true. However, The Word of God is not limited or confined to tge Bible. Isaiah 40:8 also speaks to the "still small voice" we as believers hear. This verse is all encompassing of every Word of God. What a joy to know and have consolation that God's Words both written and spoken endure forever. Isaiah really shows wisdom here and his definitively profound statement ensures us that since God's Words are eternal, so are His promises.

Lilian's comment on 5/14/2016, 11:18pm...

Kati Falk's comment on 2/20/2016, 8:16pm...

I saw 7 eagles circling today so I looked up this verse and I think God is telling me that if difficulties are coming to trust him to carry me through it on eagles wings - a wonderful sign/message - I will expect a wonderful flight and outcome, very comforting.

ADEDEJI's comment on 1/27/2016, 1:56am...

With the help of the holy spirit, we can go places with this verse of the bible. He is our strengthener, our comforter and our guidance. Let try as much as possible to lean on Him.

Delichia's comment on 12/14/2015, 9:03pm...

This is my favorite verse. Waiting definitely requires faith! To wait means to stop, be still, don't move, hold on expectantly ,-wait for God's directions, but all the while, serving the Lord, read Bible, and pray. Trust God. He loves you so much!

Charlene's comment on 10/21/2015, 2:45am...

Praise the lord . sometimes our strength fail and we feel like giveing up.because we can't see our way .but if we just have to faith and wait.then god will renewend our strength we shall mount up with wings like an eagle we shall run and not faint .we shall walk and not be weary.

Blessed's comment on 8/06/2015, 9:42am...

listen to what isiah is saying he knows how to ready you for the trials and the wiles of the devil when you think GOD LEFT YOU CAN READ AND BELIEVE GOD

Lilian's comment on 8/06/2015, 5:04am...

Our God's thoughts are higher than our thoughs and his ways are not our ways neither our ways are his ways. God is in control in our lives if we open our door for God we will surely be saved. We are saved by God's grace and not what we have done. There is no other Jehovah its just Jesus. Thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us, by his blood our sins are forgiven and cleansed. Praised you Lord for you are worthy to be praised. Lets be still and know that he is our God. Lets wait upon the Lord for we only have his strenght and power. Amen

TEBUHO's comment about verse 31 on 7/29/2015, 1:33am...

Waiting upon the Lord is totally putting our trust on our Lord removing all the human intellect and submission of our whole to the Lord.

John the Beloved's comment about verse 31 on 7/27/2015, 9:54pm...

Psalm 126:5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Proverbs 11:18 A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. Ecclesiastes 11:1 Ship your grain across the sea after many days you may receive a return. Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Jeremiah 45:3 You said, 'Woe to me! The LORD has added sorrow to my pain I am worn out with groaning and find no rest.' Matthew 10:22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. Hebrews 12:3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, James 5:7 Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. Malachi 1:13 You said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and you have snuffed 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be you steadfast, unmovable, Be calm and Still always 2 Thessalonians 3:13 But you, brothers, be not weary in well doing. Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and how to do so is in 1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing you may put to silence 1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well 1 Peter 4:19 Why let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the for He promised in Leviticus 26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield Deuteronomy 11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the Psalm 104:27 These wait all on you that you may give them their meat in due season. Psalm 145:15 The eyes of all wait on you and you give them their meat in due season. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brothers, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, in Isaiah 40:30,31 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall Zephaniah 3:16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not: You are the New Jerusalem, Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved. Luke 18:1 And he spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always 2 Corinthians 4:1,16 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, Ephesians 3:13 Why I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. Hebrews 3:6,14 But Christ as a son over his own house whose house are we Hebrews 10:35-39 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward Hebrews 12:3,5 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Revelation 2:3,7,10,11,17,26-29 And have borne, and have patience, and for my name's sake have labored, Revelation 3:5,6,12,13 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment and Revelation 3:21,22 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even He has given me a new Name and told me to show everyone the way. As many who read this and continues to do it by running this Heavenly race of evangelism, He said you will sit with me on my throne. Wow, what a glory. I must run and not be weary, I shall run and not faint, tell God to teach you His way of Perfection through Jesus. It starts by reading only about Jesus and each virtues his disciple posed that were unique and cultivate all those Virtues and Receive Glory from Him to Be called a Son and not an Angel. Angels are those who spent their time saying evil prophesy rather than blessing. Those who took God status on Earth and heap their account with Money while He said feed my sheep, those who live for tomorrow while He said Live for today. Those who raised their head to vanity and never had time to read God's World He said I should tell you, have you loved your enemy? Or do you Love your brethren and family only? He said Behold, I come Speedily, Tell them because my reward is in my HAND. My coming is Judgment! He said My Spirit will lift only those who He has found fit, Those who hearkened to my WORD and feared going against it. Behold I come He says! He said seed time and harvest time, How great is your cultivation? Have you helped another man till his Land and forget yours? He says I come speedily! Isaiah 40:31 He said persevere till I come. Its a relentless pursuit. He is on the Way.
