    Exactly right Norma. Amen.
  • BSP on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
The beginning of this chapter shows that Jesus will have the spirit of God upon him. This results in him having the beautiful qualities described in verse 2. Jesus is the idea Leader and King and we should strive to imitate him as closely as we can.
  • Norma on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
In the KJV, Isa. 11:6 does not read that the wolf will lie down with the lamb, but it will dwell (live) with it.
Because of the Future Kingdom of God, Christ/Messiah will have a peaceful place for all to reside as it once was in the Garden of Eden. Remember at Christ's 2nd Coming all things will be dfferent even humankind will have a new body, new heart and a new mind. All will live together

  • Bud on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
To Sue: Thank you for the feed back, may I ask what bible you are using I us the KJV and NIV and they both read the same. Yes Noah took unclean animals two x two, but he also took 7 clean animals for food and reproduction. We should not take the life of anything for the fun of it but GOD gave the animals for food. Taking of human lives is not for food.
  • Sue on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
To Bud: the "current" Bible no longer says it. Many changes. Read Amos 8:11-12. We are in these times. Noah led the animals 2x2, I know this to be true. If the word is not written in your heart....the word should be shew not slay in luke 19:27. Jesus never condoned murder. Refer to Mattew 5:44 "love thine enemies ". That part hasn't changed yet. We are in scary times.
  • Stella on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago

  • Bud on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
To Sue: Know were in the bible does it say that the loin will lay with the lamb, this is a understanding that many think, read Isaiah 11: 6 and Isaiah 65: 25.
  • Jason Ben on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
Can someone explain what verse 11 mean about the islands? is it talking about us in the south pacific?
  • Sue on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
11:6 Since when did the wolf dwell with the lamb? I was under the assumption the lion would lay with the lamb. I know this to be true.
  • Hugh Clarke on Isaiah 11 - 7 years ago
This chapter is POWERFUL! Vs.2 mentions The Spirits of God that we NEED to live the Christian life. Vs.6-8 tells us EXACTLY what life is and will be like when perfect Love dwells among us.Imagine,The wolf dwelling with the lamb, a leopard lying with the kid; a calf, a young lion and a fatling together; a little child leading. This is the unconditional Love God has for US. Let's live in this Truth
  • Bello Samuel on Isaiah 11 - 8 years ago
This clearly shows the power and glory of the end time church where no evil can prevail against the children of God.
  • Gary on Isaiah 11:8 - 8 years ago
Do babies and toddlers who die go to heaven? This verse says a clear "yes " - they go as happy babies totally safe and playing for eternity. This description is of a world that has not existed since the Garden of Eden - is it not limited therefore only to being a description of the world after Jesus returns in power?! Praise God!
  • Harycollins on Isaiah 11 - 9 years ago

  • James C Bertram on Isaiah 11:6 - 9 years ago
It is the most refreshing thought knowing that all animals will be with us in Heaven. The most loyal who love us unconditionally...
  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 11:1 - 9 years ago
Isaiah 11 reads, '1 Out of the stump of David s family will grow a shoot yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root. 2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. 3 He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. 4 He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. ... 10 In that day the heir to David s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place. 11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to bring back the remnant of his people. ... ' This is speaking of God as the Christ when he is born in Bethleham as Jesus. It tells how he will bring salvation to the world, and give peace and rest to his people. It specifically calls his the Lord in verse 11. And we know this is a reference to the Lord Jesus. All who believe in him are called s remnant, meaning that God 's church will be a small group. The people, then, who called Jesus the Son of David were not operating in ignorance. They knew these Scriptures and applied them to Jesus. In other words, the Holy Spirit had prepared them to know God as Jesus when he came to them. So when the Gentile woman from Syria said to Jesus, 'Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David, ' she was calling him both God and the expected Savior that was to come. Today, we read over these words and never understand what the woman was saying. We have lost track of Jesus as God. But he is! And it is my job to tell as many people as I can this wonderful truth.! May God bless you!
  • Ethelware on Isaiah 11 - 9 years ago
ETHEL WARE COMMENTS ON ISAIAH 11 is prophecies, is messages from God, of the past, present, and the future, and JESUS came to fulfill, the past and close its chapter, and open the new,so this freewill that JESUS PROVIDED by His death gives me the right to sing and dance like David . that one day I will be able to lay down with the wolves and not be harmed.
  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 11:2 - 9 years ago
Isaiah 11, verse 2 reads, AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD SHALL REST UPON HIM, THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, CPUNCIL AND MIGHT THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND OF FEAR OF THE LORD. This verse is speaking of Jesus as a human, and how the Holy Spirit worked in him. Notice that it says that God 's Spirit gave him wisdom, understanding, counsel, and knowledge about who he was. The might part is a reference to the mighty works Jesus understood he was to do. The point is, this is saying that the job of the Holy Spirit is to teach us and make us intelligent about the things of Jesus as God. This agrees completely with what Jesus said about God 's Spirit in John 16, verse 26 HE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT ME. Let me say this plainly. The work of the Holy Spirit is to tell us about Jesus as God, and the salvation he brings us. That 's it! Te Holy Spirit, then, does not make us act empty headed and nonsensical, as many people think. Nor does he make us run around, across the front of the church, not knowing where we are going. Nor does he make us fall down and pass out for a long period of time. Jesus operated under the Spirit, and he did none of this! This type of action will teach us nothing about Jesus, or ourselves! All it will make us do is to be irrational about the very salvation Jesus came to give us. Please think about this!
  • Sqorpyo on Isaiah 11 - 9 years ago
I asked Our Father for an explanation. He told me to read again. Here follows His wisdom to me. FOR I HAVE SAID THAT NO WEAPON FORMED SHALL NOT OBTAIN ITS GOAL. Good told me that these are the mark of the righteous. He said to me that the first 6 verses of Isaiah 11 explains how the righteous acts verses 7 through 9 tells an outward sign. And remember we are all a child of the Lord. Verses 10 through 16 describes the action of the righteous.
  • Gale Taylor on Isaiah 11:6 - 10 years ago
This is proove that God's creature's are in heaven with us. That he loves them even more than we do. THERE are many other verses to support this idea. That they are tane enough thst a child will lead them . Who is God's child?. JESUS . Face it he put more animals on the Ark than people. God states he knows when one sparrow falls. Look it up
  • Prince Jon-ben on Isaiah 11 - 10 years ago
Sure God will restore creation to his purpose and intent. the wolf dwelling with the lamb, and the leopard with the kid, means that, there will be no destruction, there will be harmonious living and relationships with all the creations of God Almighty. Assuredly it shall become.

  • Chris on Isaiah 11:3 - 10 years ago
again proof that men are liars and apostasy is every where. they say don't judge at all "never" . God says to judge with his spirit as a guide and with his law of liberty and with his just ways not our own corrupted ways.
  • Ernest on Isaiah 11 - 10 years ago
