Bible Commentary for Isaiah 5:4

Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 5:4

5:2 He gathered - He removed all hindrances, and gave them all the means of fruitfulness. A tower - For the residence of the keepers.

5:6 Nor digged - Vine - dressers use to dig up and open the earth about the roots of the vines. The meaning is, I will remove my ministers, who used great care and diligence to make you fruitful. Thorns - I will give you up to your own lusts. No rain - I will deprive you of all my blessings.

Discussion for Isaiah 5:4

  • James Ndungu on Isaiah 5:4
God chose Israel to be His ambassador, but they didn 't recognize themselves as chosen generation, to represent God, but they did not,to seek and save, there for the Israelites received the course instead of blessing, the Israelites of today are repeating instead of taking advantage of reading the history, searching the scripture for the truth. May IAM intervene and make us to do what Elijah, John the Baptist did reprove the Church and state. Amen.
