Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 40:18

40:18 To whom - This is a proper inference from the foregoing discourse of God's infinite greatness; from whence he takes occasion to shew both the folly of those that make mean and visible representations of God, and the utter inability of men or idols to give any opposition to God.

Discussion for Isaiah 40

During the reading of God's Word something was brought to my attention that Jesus might be trying to tell someone right now. We are all going to fall in love with something beautiful in this life. That thing or person or concept will not last very long even in this life our time is short. But one thing is for sure God's Word will stay with us forever. If we invest in the temporary we will only gain temporary rewards. But there is opportunity to invest in something eternal. We ought to pick one thing today that we know is eternal like the sharing of God's Word even at the expense of something we else might do. Amen.

If you ever need God remember to cry out with your whole heart and he will respond with his Mighty power to do what we cannot do in our own strength .Before the foundation of the world Gen1 He did not need us then and he surely does not need us now. No one instruction and advise.
