If you are unfamiliar with these, may I suggest getting a small "Promises hand booklet" these are inexpensive and wonderful, it has Scripture verses for various topics. It would help you, understanding God's promises and what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, for he laid down his life for us, so we can have eternal life! Praise God! He is the lamb of God so we may receive salvation and healing and the promises of God to those who believe and receive him as Lord and savior!
Concerning "Crystals" it is not a Christian practice, but a new age doctrine and occult religion!! So, please stay away from that! Yes, Anointing oil is still used today and according to The New Testament in the Bible (see James) the elders of the church anointed with oil as they prayed for those who are sick. It is still practiced today. However, Everyone should pray in faith and asked the Lord Jesus to heal for those that are sick. by His stripes we were healed! I believe that the rapture is going to happen before the tribulation period. The reason I believe this is because of what we're told in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5. Chapter 4 tells us about the rapture in Verses 13-18, even though the word rapture is not used, but we know it to be the rapture of the church. Chapter 5 often gets overlooked.
People go to Chapter 4 about the rapture, and everybody debates about it. But as soon as you get to Chapter 5, it says that when Christ comes, it is going to be like a thief in the night. But it won't be sudden for you because you are children of the day.
The people in Thessalonica were told that the rapture had already happened, that their loved ones are in the grave and they have missed it. They are on the earth and they have missed it, and get ready because we are in the tribulation period.
And in Chapter 5 of 1 Thessalonians, Paul described for the believer that first of all, it will be sudden judgment for the people who are not ready. But he says you are ready because you belong to Christ. But secondly, he said that God's people are for salvation, not for judgment. Once the church is removed, judgment is going to begin. So Paul is telling them that if you're still here and you are one of God's people, then it is not the tribulation period. That is important!
So I believe that the rapture will take place prior to the 7 year tribulation period. Just as John was caught up into heaven to see the events of the tribulation unfold, I believe we also will be caught up the same. We will be raptured, taken to heaven where we'll participate in the wedding feast. And then after the seven years, when Christ comes back at His second coming, we come back with Him!

In Genjesus it says that after God had finished the work of creation he rested on the seventh day. It wasn't until the Law (ten commandments etc) was given in Exodus that God invested the Sabbath day with its holy day character, by giving to the nation of Israel a day of rest thereby separating them from all other nations.

So the promise was not to be completed under the old covenant because it could not be complete without the new heart.

Brethren in Christ Jesus, I have not read out of the Apocrypha for over twenty years, but I am remembering now that Judas Maccabee and his brothers were fighting against Roman rule when the Romans entered the Temple and desecrated it. The act (I think I remember correctly) was referred to as an abomination of desolation and the candlestick was put out.
But God in his wisdom, I believe, re-lit that candlestick as a testimony and light and witness of his new covenant just inside the veil. The light of the Gospel and the veil torn from top to bottom is the hope of all whom will enter in.
Greetings Karen and S Spencer. Some thoughts. Wondering if Isaiah Chapter 54 comes into play in these questions regarding chapter 56. Seems like in this chapter there is a church in the wilderness that is barren and ignored. God seems to promise her an inheritance in the Gentiles. God loves her and says to her that he is her Maker and her husband and his name is "thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called" verse 5. Verse 10 speaks of the "covenant of my peace" that is will not be removed because the Lord will have mercy on this church.
So questions arise: Where does Israel come into play as the married wife? Was she put away? The covenant of my peace, is it not for born again believers that become the children of the church? The children of the old covenant because of the hardness of their hearts would not enter in and under His wings. The entrance to this new covenant for all, because all children are loved is the same for all; repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

The word translated "HELL" here is not the Greek word "HADES" but is the Greek word "TARTARUS" meaning ABYSS or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the PLACE OF TORMENT and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).
Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things" ( Ephesians 4:8-10). Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise, to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the lower parts refers to Jesus mission of declaring Victory!

I believe their veil we being taken away is what we see in Hebrews 11:8 when God says he will write his laws in their hearts, "not stoney tablets" for ALL shall know me, That's the work of the Holyspirit, "spirit of truth" Jesus told the disciples to wait on the Holyspirit before they go on with there mission.
So the promise was not to be completed under the old covenant because it could not be complete without the new heart.
Hebrews 11:39-40. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Hebrews 8:10. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

The New covenant spoken of in Jeremiah 31:30 and Hebrews 8. Everthing in the old covenant and tabernacle was pointing to Christ. This new covenant was spoken of in Genisis Link and Link

And behold! He comes with ten thousand Holy Ones; to execute judgment upon them and to destroy the impious, and to contend with all flesh concerning everything that the sinners and the impious have done and wrought against Him.
And from there I went to another place, more terrible than this. And I saw a terrible thing: there was a great fire there, which burnt and blazed. And the place had a cleft reaching into the abyss, full of great pillars of fire, which were made to fall; neither its extent nor its size could I see, nor could I see its source.

Then Uriel, one of the Holy Angels, who was with me, answered me. He answered me and said to me: "Enoch, why do you have such fear and terror because of this terrible place, and before this pain?"
And he said to me: "This place is the prison of the angels, and there they will be held for ever."
Parallel to the great day of Judgement and the lake of fire in Revelation.
But God in his wisdom, I believe, re-lit that candlestick as a testimony and light and witness of his new covenant just inside the veil. The light of the Gospel and the veil torn from top to bottom is the hope of all whom will enter in.
So questions arise: Where does Israel come into play as the married wife? Was she put away? The covenant of my peace, is it not for born again believers that become the children of the church? The children of the old covenant because of the hardness of their hearts would not enter in and under His wings. The entrance to this new covenant for all, because all children are loved is the same for all; repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
The BIG QUESTION? If you don't accept Christ in your physical life time are you cut off forever? Or go to hell?
Most BELIEVE in this assumption.
If the scriptures are studied as a whole and verses are not picked and apply in direct opposition to other verses we see a different truth than the above.
The scriptures assert that THE WORKS OF GOD are divided into different ages or generations.
So what's taking place in the age we are presently living in.
Scripture says that God through Christ is CHOOSING a few to rule and judge in HIS KINGDOM and they with HIM will bring all creation INTO CHRIST.
Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensations of the fullness of TIMES he might gather together in one ALL THINGS in CHRIST........
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of THE SONS OF GOD.
Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED (by Christ and his elect).......
Romans 11:30-31 For as ye in times past HAVE NOT BELIEVED GOD, yet have obtained mercy through THEIR UNBELIEF:
(vs 31) Even so have these also NOT NOW believed, that through YOUR MERCY they also MAY OBTAIN MERCY.
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great; but the labourers (OF GOD'S WORKS) are FEW.....
Matthew 20:16 many are called, FEW are chosen....
Why are they called and not chosen; because they didn't BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAID.
Yes they are saved; but want be a judge in the kingdom.

In the New Testament, we find the story of Lazarus and the rich man who both died and went to Hades ( Luke 16:19-31). The KJV translates the Greek word "hades" as hell but most other translations use the Greek word. HADES had two separated parts: Those who died in faith believing in God's promise waited for the resurrection in Abraham's Bosom. Those who died spiritually separated from God wait in torment for the resurrection unto death, eternal separation from God. The rich man was on the torment side and Lazarus was in ABRAHAMS BOSOM which was called "PARADISE" by the LORD Jesus Christ himself when He addressed the thief who found faith the day Jesus was crucified ( Luke 23:42-43)
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" ( 2 Peter 2:4). The word translated "HELL" here is not the Greek word "HADES" but is the Greek word "TARTARUS" meaning ABYSS or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the PLACE OF TORMENT and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).
Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things" ( Ephesians 4:8-10). Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise, to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the lower parts refers to Jesus mission of declaring Victory!
