Glenn , I am sorry if I have misunderstood you , I have the same blood group as my mum , not my dad , it's o rh d neg , it's a rare one apparently ,as a woman , if I got pregnant and my child that was in my womb didn't have the same blood group as me I would probably miscarry without medical intervention . I believe this is only true of o rh d neg . We read in Genesis that Christ is the seed of the woman and a person is only Jewish if their mother is . Again , I'm sorry if I've misunderstood your line of thought on this subject .

Delia In regards to the genetics of Jesus Christ the human side was Mary the mother, the father side was God who created sperm in mary and keep in mind in genetics the dominant characteristics are from the male side in the blood line. That's why Jesus christ had sinless blood I.E. Lamb of god which taketh away sin of the world. In leviticus 17: 11 the life of the flesh is in the blood. In Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of the flesh and blood he also himself likewise took part [the flesh] of the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death that is the devil. Also in Mathew 27:3+4 Then Judas which had betrayed him when he saw that he was condemned repented himself and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the priests and elders. Verse 4 Saying I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.

We all know that Jesus was not born of man, but of the Holy Spirit.

We know that Joseph, the man who raised Him was from the line of Abraham.

    1. Why is Mary's lineage not discussed when she actually shared her blood with Jesus. Joseph helped raise Him as His stepfather.

    2. If we are all born into sin (male and female) then why was Marys' blood ok, but not Josephs'?

    Hosea 11:1, as per commentary:

11:1 Was a child - In the infancy of Israel. I loved him - Manifested my tender and paternal affection to him. Called my son - Adopted him to be my son, and as my son, provided for him, and brought him out of servitude. Out of Egypt - But Israel, the first adopted son was a type of Christ the first - born. And the history of Israel's coming out was a type of Christ's future coming out of Egypt.

Jesus's parents were told to shelter in Egypt until the death of King Herod; then they returned home.

Sorry, but verse 1 is pointing to the 1st Exodus of the children of Israel before forming up as a nation. Scripture is always consistent in detailing God's relationship with Israel starting in Egypt.

Verse 1: This was a Messianic prophecy that was fulfilled later as we see at Matthew 2:13-15.

Please read original text and pray for full dicernment.

This chapter is about somthing that happened in the past and that will repeat its self again.

Also the point of believers being unfaithful and yet God is just.

Stay in the King James Bible. You will never gain anything, but corruption by these other versions. There are four different sons refered to in the Bible. 1 is The Son of God-Jesus 2 Is the son of God-Israel 3 Is sons of God those that are saved and 4 The sons of God which are the Angels. Hosea in this chapter refers to the nation of Israel, not Jesus. Look them up.

First part of Hosea 11:12 KJV matches up with my NIV translation, but the second half of that verse seems to directly contrast with the NIV.

The first verse of this chapter does indeed refer to the Lord JESUS per Matthew chp 2 vs 15. The first portion of Hosea chp 11 vs 1 ...When Israel was a child,... serves as a descriptive timing mechanism for the reader. This is the Word of God you are studying and must be properly divided as encouraged in 2 Timothy chp 2 vs 15. May the LORD bless us all with the Spirit of truth according to His will. Amen

I have read Mathew 2 15 and Hosea 11 it seems that Mathew leaves out the first part of the verse.Hosea is not referring to Jesus, but to the children of Israel. So why leave out the first part of the verse. To make it look like a prophesy about Jesus?.

To me the verse points to Faith, evidence of things not seen God 's mercy endures forever.

This is a prophecy that points toward the Messiah and how he was called out of Egypt. Jesus was taken into Egypt and after Herod died he was brought back from Egypt. The fulfillment of this is found at Matthew 2:15.
