  • Nothing we do is hidden from Jehovah God People may do things in the dark or behind closed doors and think they will get away with it because other people don t see them God sees all though just as thoroughly as one standing naked in the open This should make us evaluate ourselves and correct any bad tendencies we may have

God is instructing us to keep His Sabbath day holy so we can enter into His rest. In six days God created the heavens and the earth and on the seventh
(7th) day God rested from all His work. Were to honor God by
    entering His day of rest.
  • Liz Bio
God is love, for you to reach the throne of grace then trust no man for all the pain , sorrow , anxiety, anger etc one is going through is because we trust man than God. Trust that God can change the unchangeable and will be happy always.
  • Anna Echols for verse 16
No matter what you are going through or how bad the situation, keep your eyes on the throne. not so much as the throne itself, but who is sitting on the throne. (Jesus Christ).

Paul is comfirming the rest(Sabbath)in Genesis at the end of creation when God rested from all His work. It is said that we no longer need to abide by the old testament law, but God forbid. If we need not to abide by the old testament law why then do we follow the law of the land? the law of the land is an adoptation of the commandments of God except for the forth commandment. That was change by the first pope of Rome. So the rest in Hebrews 4 is the rest that God has given to man after a long work week.

When God created the heavens and the earth and then he rested from his works for his works was made good and there was no sin place on earth however when man did sin due to unbelief of God's word and the belief of Satan's influence rest was no longer available but only death for the unbelieving ....for the children of Israel could not enter rest due to their unbelief when they defiled God with idolatry and other acts...now Jesus came along and did many works and through His work He took rest back from Satan and through Belief of this work for His works was made good we now can enter into rest.

The word of God,is so pure and edifying ! You can either allow it Help & Heal you (Belief)or Hurt & Harm(Disbelief.
If we abide in Jesus and He abide in us and if we beleive his word and do not doubt we can have the rest in the Lord Jesus Christ, which also consist of the Peace of God. We must get out of the flesh because in our flesh dwelleth no good thing. god gives us peace that passeth all understanding. If we beleive we have rest in Jesus Christ.

I agree with Bro. Daniel. Thank you for your post. Amen!

May I suggest, letting the Bible explain Hebrews 4: 9, 10.
“9 There remains therefore a rest to the people of God”. The word “rest” in original Greek is “Sabbatismo” from which we get the word ”Sabbath” or the seventh day. This matches perfectly with what verse 10 says: “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” Here is that account: Genesis 2 “1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Though the Jews kept the seventh day Sabbath, it is not a Jewish sacred day only; it belongs to all of us. It is not a punishment but a privilege. And keeping the Sabbath Day holy is not an option either: It is the fourth of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). Jesus, our Creator gave us the Sabbath at the end of the Creation Week. He kept it holy while on earth, and he bids us to teach all nations “whatsoever I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19, 20. Here is a promise to those who keep it: “If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words; Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD… for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it”. Isaiah 58: 13, 14. This Sabbath Day will also be celebrated in God’s New Kingdom: “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 66:23. Now, how we celebrate the Sabbath is another issue.
  • Donna Gilley for verse 15
The altars were meant for people to pray and talk to Jesus, there he takes our burdens and helps our infirmities.
  • Harry Robinson
The Rest of God means that we no longer have to make sacrifices for our sin, because WE live by faith not by sight.
  • Reggie
The "REST" of God is not "keeping" anything or any special day, it is a state of surrender and trust, in the One who is keeping you. Agape. – Reggie.
  • Daniel Popoola
It's for all help in time of need.
  • Pastor k.yesudas for verse 16
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank you very much for your add. I need your prayers for me, my family and our work for the cause of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord is about to be celebrated By Christmas in our church. I need your prayers for widows (25) and orphan children who are in my Church. I want to buy the clothing and BIBLES distribute them to those widows, and children. Therefore, please pray for the love gift for this purpose. With love in Christ, I am prayerfully looking forward to your prayers. Jesus tells us in Luke 2:11 that the harvest is great and the laborers are few. This scripture further tells us that we should pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Convey our best greetings to your families. Thanking you, GOD BLESS YOU In the Name of Jesus Christ. Yours in Christ Pastor Kurapatie Yesudas Peravaram/INDIA
  • Hiwater for verse 12
This is my favorite scripture, too! There is an entire sermon in it for any preacher!
  • Kate
The Almighty God finished the work of salvation by the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. There is now therefore no condemnation for anyone who is in Christ Jesus. By the same token, God has called us to the life of rest in Him. That means to me that God the Creator of heaven and earth is in control, and He wants me to rest. Now all of my desires have been relinquished to Him. It is wonderful.
  • Gloria Mercado
Hebrew 4:12 says that the word of God is alive and powerful that it can separate the soul from the spirit and the word can judge our hearts, minds, and intents. That’s powerful.
