  • Vanessa on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
falling from grace is excepting Jesus as your saviour, knowing the word of God , then go out and forget all he did for us sinners, and continue in the worldly pleasures, because you excepted him isn't a free pass to continue in sin, that's like a slap in the face
  • Alex on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
Jesus said that everyone has to salted with fire which is baptism of the H.G. A Spritual fire that is gonna CLEANSE US, in the natural gold has to be tried in fire to remove all the impurities ( OUR SIN NATURE ) as OUR God is a CONSUMING FIRE that is gonna consume mans evil nature Who shall abide the day of his coming who shall stand when he appears he shall be as A REFINERS FIRE and FULLERS SOAP.

    If saved
  • Molly on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
Nichole, that is a very good question! We fall from grace when we choose the world and it's ways above GOD and the values He requires us to live by. GOD's will MUST be preeminent! That means His will comes before all else, even those fleshly desires we believe we must fulfill.
  • Lilian on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. He was despise by our shame died on the cross so that you and me will have life. Thank you Jesus for the blood you shed for us amen hallelujah

Nichole: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are Justified by The Law; ye are Fallen from Grace. Galatians 5:4
  • Preacher on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
Nichole 2 Peter 2:21 states you can turn from the truth Col 1:23 says you can be moved away from the hope of the gospel. Adam and Eve teaches us sin separates us from God, notice he calls for Adam he knew where he was but sin had made them fall. The wages of sin is death unrepented sin will separate us. We are children of God or the devil. We only can serve one master.
  • BreakingBad68 on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
We fall from grace when we decide to sin and follow through on it.
  • Nichole on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
how do you fall from grace
  • Preacher on Hebrews 12 - 5 years ago
Verse 15 clearly states one can fall from Grace. We must contend for the faith Jude 1:3 and we must endure unto the end Matt 24:13. Those that have been washed (saved) are eternally secure but not unconditionally we must accompany the things of salvation Heb 6:9.

"But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons...as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears." Although born into divine privilege he chose to be heathen instead!

Verse 1~In the race for everlasting life we must have endurance. There are so many things that could distract us and make us lose focus, but if we keep enduring we will gain the prize.
  • BSP on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
Verse 8: Proper discipline from our parents is an expression of their love for us.

  • A disciple on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" Hebrews 12:14 The Lord Jesus laid out for us EXACTLY how to do this in the Sermon On The Mount, as well in ALL OF HIS TEACHINGS AND PARABLES. This is what the teaching of the Law and the Prophets is. This is the Life of Christ and Christians exposed and expounded in the Psalms, Proverbs and Sacred Writings. NOT just hearing and agreeing, but real life doing, and taking a prescribed course in life after the Spirit of Christ, shall we truly be those of whom this word is fulfilled.

servant; Jesus was not "a beacon who realized..." but He is and has ever been from everlasting with the Father, the eternal and divine Son of God! If you look at the 6th Chapter of Genesis, you will see that it was precisely that very reason for the LORD to say, "My Spirit will not always strive with man, for that HE ALSO IS FLESH." Those who can't quit sinning are in defiance and disobedience!
  • A disciple on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
"Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." When Paul wrote this Epistle to the Hebrew Believers; he very much had to address the indolence and apostasy that they had succumbed to, and took great pains to thoroughly convict them by expounding the deep things of the Scriptures. While most are so uncircumcised in heart to endure any correction, how can they expect victory over sin?
  • Servant of God on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
Disciple, You are flesh and blood which decays and dies if you doubt the Spirit is the life whom God is the Father of. Jesus was a beacon who realized that the Kingdom is within and we can only serve the Father and hope in his salvation. GOD-SPIRIT
  • A disciple on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
There is no wavering or uncertainty with the Apostle; and there is to be no wavering nor uncertainty with ANY of the Saints! Who is a liar, but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ! If someone contradicts the truth of the Glad Tidings, he opposes the good and perfect completion of Christ's work, which the Father sent Him to do; which is to SAVE US FROM OUR SINS and create us anew for signs!
  • Servant of God on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
Paul wavers a bit saying that we are not exonerated of sin in fact because Jesus took the stripes but it is the Chastening of the Father that heals inequity, that salves our wounds if we repent. No one is without sin and no one can forgive sins but the Father and those whom He has sent. Jesus endured the ultimate Chastening on the cross and now witnesses to the mercy of the Father forever.amen

The Lake of Fire ( Rev. 20:10) The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
  • Ann on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
lake of fire is mentioned 4 times in the KJV bible, read it in Revelation 19: 20 - Revelation 20:10 - Revelation 20:14 - and Revelation 20:15. As I see it, it is the eternal hell fire.
  • Avigayil on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
I am curious about the final verse. The baptism of John (repentance) is of water, but the baptism of Yeshua is with fire - which is the giving of the the Holy Spirit. We see here that Yehovah is a consuming fire - which is His Righteous Judgment. So what is the lake of fire then? Is it a physical place, or simply refering to the Judgment of Yehovah?

    See 1 Corinthians 3:15

Verse 16: One who commits sexual immorality is likened to having the attitude of Esau. He was willing to trade something valuable for a few fleeting moments of physical pleasure.
  • BSP on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
Verse 3: Considering the things that Jesus went through can help us when we endure trials.
  • A disciple on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
This is such a great and important lesson for us! Temptations and trials are for discipline. Chastisement shows that we are loved and wanted. Its because God wants us to be like Him in all our character and nature and behavior, that He rebukes us for the things that do not make for good fruit in the Spirit. We should follow Jesus' example of thinking more of obedience than of suffering humiliation
  • BSP on Hebrews 12 - 6 years ago
Verses 5 and 6 tell us not to belittle discipline or give up when disciplined. We should humble take the discipline and learn from our mistakes.
  • Lilian on Hebrews 12 - 7 years ago
Wherefore we recieving Kingdom which cannot be move let us have by grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear Amen thanks to the blood Jesus
  • Lucinda Hardman on Hebrews 12 - 7 years ago
Jesus says in John 8:47 that His own people were not able to understand Him because they had sin in their lives. Please be prayerful about telling people to know or believe Christ has nothing to do with sin because they must acknowledge they are a sinner ask for forgiveness and follow his godly example that what proves that we know Him out character. That why the Scribes hated Him Him read these scriptures. If this thing to know Jesus wasn't about us sinning why did He come. He came to turn us to Him yes but by exposing the truth that we're sinful with His blood was for the remission of sins. It can only be cancelled if people receive Him by acknowledging first they are sinners. That what all the disciples went to preach. He saved Mary Magdalene but said 'Go and sin no more.' That's why so many people are confused. We must love help and yes people should see Jesus in the right light. Believe He is tell them but why do we leave out, 'Go and sin no more.' It's His word and to know Him is for Him to help them with their struggles. Cause if sis isn't and issue then the world must be getting better cause there's a lot of killing, sexual sin, lying and etc, etc but God said we would not inherit the kingdom if we continue on this path. ,2nd Timothy chapter 3. So yes change our minds to know Christ but go and sin no more. Be blessed!
