Wesley's Notes for Hebrews 8:10

8:10 This is the covenant I will make after those days - After the Mosaic dispensation is abolished. I will put my laws in their minds - I will open their eyes, and enlighten their understanding, to see the true, full, spiritual meaning thereof. And write them on their hearts - So that they shall inwardly experience whatever I have commanded. And I will be to them a God - Their all - sufficient portion, and exceeding great reward. And they shall be to me a people - My treasure, my beloved, loving, and obedient children.

People's Bible Notes for Hebrews 8:10

Heb 8:10 This [is] the covenant that I will make, etc. See Jer 31:33. This shall be a principle of the new covenant. I will put my laws in their mind. Under the new covenant the minds and hearts shall be given to the Lord and filled with his law. They shall "worship in spirit and in truth" (Joh 4:23,24). Write them in their hearts. Instead of upon tables of stone.

In the days of old, they were more righteous in that successive

The original Covenant is not abolished for Jesus learned from it. He taught in the Temple reading and teaching from the Torah and the Prophets. Noone will succeed without reading the whole Bible. It should be read daily. Baptism should be an acknowledgment and not a free pass to salvation.
