Heb 11:12 Therefore there sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead. From an old man, a hundred years old, whose reproductive powers were dead, a people. As the stars of the sky in multitude. See De 1:10. These figures are used to express a vast multitude.

    This verse shows that we must have faith in order to please God because it says that it is impossible to please God without faith. We must believe not only that he exists, but also that He will reward those who put faith in Him.
