You know, God didn't give us His Word to 'puzzle' through and try to figure out what it means - on our own. That's what His Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38) is for. We are to 'pray through' to receiving His guiding spirit to open up His Word to us. HE - wants to teach us His Holy Word; just like any teacher, high school, college, etc. They don't hand you a book and say - learn it yourself.

God really God, and that he love his creation, yet all have sin against Him
  • Stephen F. Zielski on Genesis 7 - 7 years ago
Verse 11. The windows of heaven opened up. The flood in the time of Noah did not come from a very bad thunder storm as to what all of us know and understand today,no. These flood waters that God sent Noah came from the outer firmiment of our universe itself. Our universe in and of itself is set in water like unto a mothers womb. Even NASA knows this so it can be deemed a fact. Shalom yedda dim.
  • Billy Blazier on Genesis 7 - 7 years ago
No the earth was not destroyed in Noah's flood the dove brought back an olive branch the first earth age was completely destroyed that's why in Genesis it was void it was not created that way but became that way because of Satan's fall
  • Linda Kay mace on Genesis 7 - 7 years ago
When God destroyed the earth because of sin was Noah the beginning of the second earth age?
  • Tyrone Johnson on Genesis 7 - 7 years ago
The commentary was awesome, and how God saw fit to prepare Noah, how Noah was obedient and how he stayed on course no matter how, it looked to others. Noah heeded to the call of God as we should. Notice how he stayed true to the course and the call. This is serious when you are consider by God to be a chosen savior, to warn people and to have God move on your behalf. Wow powerful.
  • Valerie santos on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
as i read genesis i really got the full understanding as i compare the commentaries with the passage of genesis 7 yes being obedience to GOD is so amazing because all the things that going on today i rather be doing what i suppose to do for GOD than to be disobediences to HIM

    I don't understand:
who are the sons of God and daughters of men in Genesis chapter 6 and what was consider unclean animals ? Ty
  • Roddy on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Whom is truly holy. no not a one. but Noah had faith which led to obedience. He was saved and sealed wherefore Jesus imputed his righteousness to all who are saved. Now Noah was truly holy. When we do mortal sins that are witnessed, our advocate Jesus claims our righteousness to the father on our behalf as in a court of law.
  • Joseph on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Noah was righteous and perfect. He loved and feared God.
  • Jake on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Why would Noah be saved even tho even he is not truly holy?
  • Kanakasusheela on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Now a days we are all having computer minds . If any one asks about the clear explanation of Noah's ark , we don't have much knowledge about it .and how Noah put all the animals from very big to very smallest creatures into his ark?and how many rooms are there in that ark ?answer is only it is the God's knowledge . and God hate the sin ,So he wanted to destroy all the creation , except Nosh's ark and the flesh in it . and this 40 , and 12 , 3 and 6 are the very important numbers in the bible. and God saved Noah's family because for the future salvation of the humanity through Jesus Christ.
  • Peter kwanga on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
As it was with Noah and all during his time so shall it be with us in the current world,we should not take God's word lightly, awaken b4 its too late and we start knocking on the door of mercy after it was long shut
  • Tim sarumi on Genesis 7:13 - 8 years ago
This is the RAPTURE represented..God remove evil from earth.Only EIGHT people made it.
  • Tim Sarumi on Genesis 7:12 - 8 years ago
It 's not a coincidence Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights,it was Gods way to start afresh but rather than destroy,He filled Jesus with the Holy Spirit for the journey ahead..Principle is the Same
  • Motdaugrnds on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Some interesting comments about this chapter....I personally think God created everything good and pleasant for man and when man sinned, God added briars, etc. to make life and toil hard for man. God also removed the tree of life. Since that time man 's existence has had to cope with all those thorny parts of existence and I suspect disease is part of all that. However, God has also given us His Word, His Promises and His Son to help us maneuver ourselves through all this briar patch.....
  • Dewey J on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Cheryl, I believe the Scripture is saying that the humans with Noah was clean because it said Noah was a righteous man before God. Therefore, the almighty saw them all through the cleansing blood of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It is not our righteousness but Jesus Christ 's Ephesians 2:8,9 "For by grace are we saved through faith and that is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not of work least any man should boast. The grace and faith of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless us and the understanding of His Word. Amen.
  • Dewey J on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
RNM, That is what I said I. You talk a lot about the Sabbath day being on Saturday and not on the first day of the week which most Christian churches in the US and much of the rest of the world celebrate as the resurrection day of or Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ or Sunday. Going back to the of creation at the end of the Sixth day when all creation was complete God saw all and said it was good and it was no sin. I also quoted James 2:18 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and come down from the Father of lights.... We know that Jesus said Satan is a murderer and the father of all lies in John therefore, it appear to me that the Scripture Said that Luficer invented sin and I believe is saying that all evil diseases is his creation is what I meant by sin creates diseases. I concur with you on the fact that Jehovah uses even evilbeings to bring about His will and purposes on planet earth. I will therefore give Satan credit for creating diseases. God bless us all and in the understanding of His Word. Glory be to almighty God in the highest. Amen.
  • RNM 7-5-1 GEN on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
GEN 7-5-1...Cheryl, I don 't think I 've ever heard that asked before, but I would think at the point where Adam and Eve disobeyed their Heavenly Father and ate of the forbidden fruit, they became unclean before God. And that is why God has gone through lengthy steps to correct this, In Isaiah 64:6... But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags and we all do fade as a leaf and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away... God has layed everything at our feet, even His own Son, and He expects little in return, just as any parent would, He expects Obedience, He set a day of rest in motion at Sinai, which was a continuation of the 7th day of Creation. He expects us to uphold that day if we love Him, the world expects us to uphold Sunday the 1st day if we love satan, they don 't tell us that, but when we follow the commandments of man over God, it can be none other than the commandment of Satan, this is why the world has so many problems, the deception of Satan is Worldwide, probably less than one percent of the World 's population observes the true 7th day Sabbath, but that is exactly why the scripture says in Matt 7:14...Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it... It may sound bad, but for you that has an ear to hear, this may be the Greatest story ever told if you heed it. I hope you do. PRAISE THE ANCIENT OF DAYS AND HIS HOLY WORD. AMEN!!
  • Cheryl on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Genesis 7 2 God tells Noah to take of every clean beast by seven and every unclean by two into the ark. Noah took his wife their three sons and their wives. My question is are the humans clean or unclean.
  • RNM 7-4-30 GEN on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
GEN 7-4-30...Dewey, you said in your comment on 4-22, I would say sin not God, created these diseases, the fact being that sin is transgression of the law, nothing more, it in itself cannot create anything Dewey, Exodus 20: 11... For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it... Notice it says and all that in them is, that would include bacteria and viruses...like malaria, smallpox. Ebola, It doesn 't matter what it is God either created it or allowed it to be created. AMEN!!
  • Dewey J on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Seth, that is very good question I will attempt to answer it by the Holy Bible Scripture. I would say sin not God created these diseases before the flood after the sin of Adam and Eve. Before that we know Luficer invented sin was kicked out of Heaven because of it and became the Devil, Satan, Serpent, and that old Dragon. This was the origin of all evil. The Scripture tells us that Satan is the god of this world system which Adam gave him the right to rule the planet when he sinned. Although God use evilbeings or Devils to bring His good will to past He did not and does not create evil. James 1:13 tells us that our God cannot be tempted with evil and doesn 't tempt any man. James 1:17 tells us that every good and perfect gift or thing is from above they comes from the father of light. 2 Cor. 4:4 tells us that Satan control this world evil system Proverbs 16:4 tells niv tells us that God Jehovah works out everything to his own ends-even the wicked for the day of disaster. God bless us and our understanding of His Word. Amen.

The Chapter is very interesting it gives you a lot to think about and how you must live your like. It opened my eyes more and I have to focus more on the word
  • RNM 7-15 GEN on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
GEN 7-15..I 'm no authority, I would say GOD created every living thing including the viruses and bacteria, also like the briar bushes and thorn bushes and weeds, all things that makes life unpleasant, for a disobedient people, who is in a constant state of rebellion against GOD and HIS Laws even to this day! I want to add a separate reply to a person who believes we still have dominion over God 's creatures, it may be in a tyrannical sense of the word but to think we have dominion over the animals like it was in the beginning no it is definitely not the same. Our dominion is with fast land rovers, guns, and cages! When God gave dominion to Adam and Eve their dominion was in Authority and Strength not this feeble, chicken legged, anti-steward idea of caging animals for man to walk around and look at, while the cagers pocket the money, and the animals suffer a life sentence behind bars. All just feeding mans vanity, and corrupt nature. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS PERFECT WAYS AND HIS STRENGTH IN THE SPIRIT, AND HIS HOLY BLOOD THAT COVERS OUR SIN. AMEN!!
  • Seth on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
What about bacteria and viruses...like malaria, smallpox. Ebola, etc....did God create those before the flood?
  • RNM GEN 7-----8 on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
Someone ' comment a ways back, about the flood being just a parable, I did not live through it but, I have heard that almost every country in the World gives an account of a historic flood, it also would explain seashells found in the mountains, whales found in the deserts. I myself will go with God 's biblical account in Genesis. And I also believe even though there is no hard evidence, that God has continued to create even after the flood, God doesn 't half to get approval from man, GOD is a creator, He Creates, He 's probably created new species of foul, beasts fish, even man, who knows but one thing is sure don 't underestimate what he can do, He answers to know one, HE IS GOD!! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME. AMEN!!
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
Hello P Genesis 7 14 says it all. If you look at it from this point of view as balancing out the eco system then every animal was needed. However, we still have dominion over the animals.
